You might check out Join Tagsum. The layout is cool and clean and the people and administrators friendly. Lots of features and no bury features on the stories submitted either. It took us about 20 seconds to register.
We've been up at Tagsum for the last six weeks and it's a good place to relax and look around. Lot of features and they're adding more all the time. It's a social site you can watch evolve and perhaps, be part of the process.
