Las Vegas Listed 9th For Terror Target Among U.S. Cities, Homeland Security Study


What happens in Sin City may not stay in Sin City...

Vegas ranks ninth among American cities most likely to suffer a major terrorist strike, according to a newly released report by a government-funded think tank.

The Rand Corporation report notes Vegas has having a large number of likely targets when compared to other major U.S. cities. The Rand report noted the targets, the hotels on the Vegas strip. The study looked at the potential losses if terrorists used two different truck bombs, “5″ and “10″ ton truck bombs. An airliner striking a hotel and the doomsday scenario of the devastation of a 5 kiloton nuclear bomb.
