Don't Forget Them!
From a recent Email:
Americans, So, as you already know, we are a country at war. There are thousands of men and women who are over there putting themselves in life threatening situations every single day. And it's all for you! They do these things out of shear pride and love for their country! They don't ever ask for anything in return, and that is exactly what many of them recieve. Nothing. Not even a single letter! There are four thousand Men and Women listed on Anysoldier.com who get nothing during mail call.! I don't know about all of you, but that doesn't seem right to me. We go about our lives free and able to do what we please. We can worship whatever God we choose to believe in, we can to college, we can feel safe in our homes every night, we can even burn our countries flag and NOT be punished for it. That is how much freedom we have as Americans. It is because of our service men who risk their lives that we live in such a wonderful place. Four thousand (think of how many people that really is) of those service men and women feel alone and forgotten. Is that fair? You won't ever hear a complaint though, they are silent heros. If you would like to help make a change, please do. It's very easy to write a simple letter about yourself, your life, your job and send it to someone who is risking their life for you. The website: Anysoldier.com, is very self-explanitory. If you have any questions you can contact the woman who brought this to my attension: Cathey Meskel. Her E-mail address is: Soldierwatch@hotmail.com Please pass this on. Even if you don't wish to participate, someone else on your E-mail list may want to and could change a life forever! Sincerely, Jaime Simpson |

NOTE: 2 or 3 minutes to email a soldier; that's all it would take. Why not do it now? Instead of telling only the guys at the bar that great fishing story, why not share it with a sailor serving their country?
Somewhere overseas, there's an Army grunt that would love to hear about how you talked your way out of that speeding ticket.
We checked out Anysoldier.com and it's a great place. Click on the banner below and it will take you over and get you started. Do it today: it will only take a few minutes. Tell a Marine about how the Steelers beat up on the Bengals Sunday night.
It's the least you can do.
