Good art is not what it looks like, but what it does to us.

Art.
If it's sexist and misogynist to some, does this mean it's not art?
Is it a matter of political correctness, quality, context, or in the end, a matter of taste?

From MSNBC:
Designed by Viennese artist Rudolf Scheffel for the “toilet-bar Vienna” next to the National Opera, the urinals featured lips covered in red, orange or blue lipstick, a bright red tongue and gleaming white teeth.
Scheffel's work got the boot after getting thumbs down from feminists who said sculptures were "sexist and misogynist." The offensive "art" was auctioned on EBAY:
“Each urinal will, of course, be meticulously cleaned,” the seller said. “The artist himself will sandblast it, brush the mouth’s teeth, and give them a new varnish.”
Artist and sculptress Jo Mann created her "one vision" as part of a collective for the 2006 International AIDS Conference in Toronto. Jo crafted her five foot "masterpiece" with plaster of Paris, a garden hose, vacuum hose, and duct tape. A condom completed the piece.
Mann's artwork was put up for auction on EBAY. Profits were to be donated to the Toronto-based Stephen Lewis Foundation. The listing was taken down on EBAY after it was determined the photo was in violation of EBAY's policies. Jo was able to re-list her work after following EBAY's guidelines.

Dutch sculptor Mario Philippona's "Sexy Furniture." Philippona used life-sized drawings and pre-cut layers of wood finished with natural, "hand rubbed" oil.
These shapes, he writes in a statement on his website, are "the most attractive in nature," and have inspired him. Source - Weird FurnitureIs is art, or is it offensive?
