The number of times we've agreed with Senator Edward Kennedy on anything has been small. The senior senator from the People's Republic of Massachusetts is reliably liberal and reliably overbearing.
However much we disagree with the Senator, we derive no cheer from the news that he suffers from an inoperable brain tumor. We would much have preferred that Kennedy retire to live a long and happy private life--even if this would have meant that John Kerry would become the senior senator from Massachusetts.
As RidesAPaleHorse put it:
