You got love problems? Forget calling Dr. Ruth. Call the new Love Doctor: Dr. Gadhafi.

Dictator Moammar Gadhafi is sad he didn’t have more time to try to save the marriage of Cecelia Sarkozy and her husband Nicolas, the president of France.

The Libyan strongman, with his new openness toward the West, is more open to his own feelings too.

“I deeply regret this sudden separation of my two friends,” Gadhafi said yesterday. “The speed with which the separation was made did not give their friends a chance to mend fences.”

Cecilia yesterday said she wanted to flee the harsh public spotlight.

Nicolas simply got angry and said“no comment.”

The Libyan dictator got to know Ms. Sarkozy when she traveled to his country this past summer to negotiate the release of five Bulgarian hostages being held there.

Ghadfi clashed with the U.S. and with the West in general during the 1980s and 1990s.

No word yet as to whether a call-in show on Libyan radio is planned.
