Clinton & Obama Astrology Forecast - Feb 14th, 2008

Under the star's benevolence, who will receive celestial glad tidings and the key to the White House?

We thought it was time to look once again at the frontrunners of the 2008 Presidential election and their astrological forecasts. As Hillary Clinton and Obama Barack battle it out in the Democratic primaries will the "stars" affect them in different ways?

Hillary Clinton, using Birth time as 8:02 AM, Tropical Placidus Natal Chart
Feb. 17th Mars Conjunct Uranus
Actions can be taken without due thought or consideration, and this can create future difficulties, through following unwise choices. A lack of sensitivity to others, and a diminution of common sense, can occur; and you may look for ways to release the sudden pressure that can rapidly build up inside you. In extreme cases, this can be expressed through explosions of temper and anger at any provocation, even to the point of physical violence; certainly attempts to release the energy through verbal and emotionally directed violence towards a partner are common. Source - Astrology Weekly
Hillary may find herself being abrupt and rude with others. Hillary's drive for freedom and authority may find her acting rash and headstrong.

Feb 18. Venus Sextile Jupiter
You may find solutions to whatever problems you have. You will feel social and gregarious.

Barack Obama, Birth time 12 AM, Tropical Placidus Natal Chart

Feb. 14 Sun Oppose Uranus
While you tend to insist that your will is paramount, you really need to learn effective forms of social compromise, realizing your misapprehension of being the all-important center of the universe, which is symptomatic of an imbalanced Sun.
Feb. 16 Mercury Square Neptune
Whilst you may often have insight into the motivations of others, you need greater clarity in your own nature. Relationships may remain problematical for you until some degree of personal change has been achieved, and you may be advised to be cautious within your emotional commitments. This is basically because of elements of illusion that can afflict you, and that tendency to avoid facing facts that you do not want to see, such as the fundamental that a relationship is not mutually satisfying if you need it to continue.
Feb. 18th Venus Oppose Mercury
Sexual activity without emotional involvement may attract if opportunities present themselves, and may possibly be taken to gain some sense of security and attention from others, as well as for pleasure. Excessive food consumption or denial through anorexia may also act as compensatory actions. Passivity in relationships might be adopted, so that rejections caused by another's displeasure or conflicts created by your assertiveness are minimized.
Feb. 18 Venus Conjunct Jupiter
Your breezy disposition and warm nature make you popular with almost everybody. You are too easy-going, though, and some individuals may try to take advantage of you. However, you are rarely embittered by such negative encounters. You seek and are sought after by people who are also self-assured and who expect to succeed. Source - Astrology Weekly
Feb 19. Jupiter Trine Ascendant (Feb 14 - Feb 25)
A very good time for Obama, as his ability to express himself openly and confidently garners him even more support. He will face no resistance for his plans and will win respect and admiration from others.

As we have seen this past week, momentum has swung in Obama's direction while Hillary has been frustrated by Obama's primary wins.

As of today Obama has pulled ahead of Hillary in the number of delegates needed to win the nod at the DNC convention with 1253 to Hillary's 1211.

Obama is seen as a great orator whose messages of hope inspire voters to envision the future of a more positive America while Hillary is seen as having to fight tooth and nail to get her own "message" out there, every tear, frown and frustration amplified under the MSM microscope.

Obama's Jupiter Trine Ascendent is working in tandem with his already smooth delivery style while Hillary's Mars conjunct Uranus works against her, bringing forth frustrations and limitations which spill over into the area of confidence, so sorely needed during the pressure-cooker lifestyle of running for office, especially that of the President.

At this point the stars are favoring Obama while placing obstacles on Hillary. Since some transits seem to be short lived, it remains to be seen if the stars continue their support of Obama or if Hillary's internal struggles to remain confident continue to plague her.

Next up, the Republican frontrunners, McCain and Huckabee.

John McCain: Is the Presidency Written in His Stars?

We've been looking at what the planet and stars predict for the 2008 Presidential candidates. Today we're going to look at what several astrologers predict for Senator McCain's chances of getting elected our next President.

In a report written on April 23, 2006, by Astro Future Trends, astrologer Phillip Brown, M.A., notes that the last Virgo to occupy the Whitehouse was Lyndon Baines Johnson.
The last Virgo to occupy the White House was Lyndon Johnson, a former senator who made his reputation as a very down-to-earth and real-world politician. LBJ knew how to pull the levers of power but became lost in micro-managing the Vietnam War.
Brown takes note of McCain's 11th House, which he refers to as a "political house", and at Mercury, the planet of communication.
McCain's Virgo Sun is in the 11th house, a political house associated with the air sign Aquarius. Virgo is ruled by Mercury, a communication planet. McCain's rising sign is Libra, an air sign. However, both his Sun and Moon are in earth signs (his Moon's in Capricorn), so in a lot of ways McCain is more into what works than what's open. He's very grounded and smart about political strategy. Mercury is his only planet in an air sign (Libra). Mercury being a singleton in an air sign would ordinarily indicate difficulty in getting perspective with communication, but McCain has a Libra rising sign to support his Mercury. He does seem to enjoy communicating in an open give-and-take forum much more than Bush (Bush's Mercury is in Leo) and this came out in his speech to union members, despite the natural antagonism of his audience.
Brown's prediction for November 4th, the 2008 Election Day:
On election day 2008, McCain will experience an interesting confluence of astrological factors. His Saturn-Neptune opposition will be conjuncted by the Saturn-Uranus election opposition. His natal Moon is at the same position (27° Capricorn) as the U.S. horoscope Pluto. The next President will lead the nation as Pluto enters Capricorn, a perilous time. McCain’s lunar north node—karmic destiny—is at 1°of Capricorn, and Pluto will also be at exactly 1°of Capricorn when the new president is sworn in to office in January, 2009.
Brown's prediction, made in 2006, refers to a Saturn-Neptune opposition "conjuncted by the Saturn-Uranus election opposition". We're not astrologers so we're not sure what this means other than it sounds ominous.

From The Strange House:

John McCain's 2008 Election Day Forecast from The Strange House:

Saturn Opposite Saturn applying (effort confronts effort)
Your life now reaches one of its built-in check points. You are "graded" by reality. Past efforts and plans culminate. Prior diligence rewards you with recognition and responsibility; past negligence brings restriction or disgrace.

Uranus Opposite Neptune applying (freedom confronts impression)
Delusions and eccentricity may make you your own worst enemy. Travel may offer unexpected trouble. Using drugs and alcohol may create problems.

From Nancy's Blog:

McCain’s birth chart (8/29/36; Balboa Heights, Panama; 9 AM) suggests that his immense popularity of recent years may soon be on the wane. In 2005, transiting Pluto was square to his Venus, giving him an intense emotional appeal and charisma. In 2006, converse Mars was conjunct converse Venus, another aspect likely to confer a strong appeal and attractiveness. As of late January 2007, however, the Mars/Venus aspect begins to wane, while progressed Venus begins to move into a square with natal Saturn through October 2007. In his natal chart, McCain has a rather close Venus/Saturn opposition, and any progressed aspect between them will be felt quite strongly. It seems quite likely that this 2007 Venus/Saturn square will greatly diminish McCain’s popularity, as well as limit his political options significantly.

By late October 2007, transiting Saturn will move into the first of three conjunctions to McCain’s natal Sun (6Virgo02). The second will be in February 2008, and the third will be in July 2008. The addition of progressed Moon opposite natal Saturn from January 7 through February 7, 2008, suggests quite strongly that McCain will be unlikely to win his party’s nomination for president. Moreover, the transits of Uranus on his natal 6th house Saturn and Saturn opposite his natal Saturn (20Pisces09) at the end of 2008 and in early 2009 suggest he will not be happy with the results of the 2008 election and that he may be dealing with health problems (6th house) around that time as well.

Astro Future Trends doesn’t come out with a prediction on whether McCain will or will not succeed but warns about the placement of McCain’s planets on Nov. 4th.

The Strange House’s prediction for John McCain on Nov. 4th refers to “ominous” planet shenanigans:

Saturn Opposite Saturn applying (effort confronts effort)
Your life now reaches one of its built-in check points. You are "graded" by reality. Past efforts and plans culminate. Prior diligence rewards you with recognition and responsibility; past negligence brings restriction or disgrace.

Uranus Opposite Neptune applying (freedom confronts impression). Delusions and eccentricity may make you your own worst enemy. Travel may offer unexpected trouble. Using drugs and alcohol may create problems.
Nancy’s Blog writes that Saturn, the bummer planet, (our definition of Saturn), will move into conjunction with Virgo, McCain’s natal Sun. This will occur in Feb. and also in July. Nancy’s Blog writes that a “progressed Moon opposite natal Saturn” from January 7th through February 7th suggests McCain will be “unlikely to win his party’s nomination”.

McCain’s New Hampshire Primary win came on January 8th. Nancy’s Blog predicts a waning of support for McCain beginning January 7th through February 7th. We’ll see if this prediction holds true on Super Tuesday, February 5th, where 24 states hold caucuses or primaries.

As always, these are predictions based on astrology.

Time will tell if the stars and planets hold John McCain’s dream of becoming our next President.

Huckabee: Stars and Planets Align for Presidential Win?

Image [moca]

Now that the Iowa Caucus is over we thought we'd put together a more "concise" astrological reading on the winners, Mike Huckabee and Barack Obama.

Today it's Huckabee's turn to be "astrologisized."

Considered "unscientific," astrology is considered "the oldest science known to humankind".

According to Astrology.com:

"Astrology is the study of the interactions among the Stars and the Planets, based on intricate mathematical cycles. "

Contrary to its stereotype as "New Age," astrology is a science that predates both astrology and psychology. The earliest astrological records date back to 1645 BC in Babylon.

Some might argue that astrology is an "art" instead of a science yet both Copernicus and Galileo were practicing astrologers.

From Nancy's Blog:

Mike Huckabee, folksy Christian leader and the new darling of the hyper-religious right-wing base, has recently surged in the polls. I attribute this to transiting Pluto currently trine his Venus/Mars/progressed Pluto conjunction (28 Leo) from November 2 through December 21. In addition, transiting Jupiter is trine his Sun (01 Virgo) for a few days through December 22. With transiting Mars (28 Gemini) sextile this same Venus/Mars/Pluto combination during the first 5 days of January, it seems likely he will win the January 3 Iowa caucus. His next big bump comes from the Mars station January 22 to February 7 conjunct his South Node/converse progressed Venus conjunction (23Gemini55), and helping him substantially in numerous primaries. Following this potential bonanza, Jupiter (13 Capricorn) will move to sesquiquadrate the Mars/Venus/progressed Pluto configuration from February 12 to February 20, suggesting he is extremely happy and surrounded by adoring crowds during that period. His chances for actually winning the GOP nomination are quite good. Source - Nancy's Blog

From Wandering Star:
Huckabee's Jupiter in Leo is exceptionally significant in his natal chart with its close square to Saturn in Scorpio. In the religious sense, it's about knowing the difference between living faith and dead ritual. In the current campaign, Huckabee has gone from no hope (Saturn) to potential winner (Jupiter). Next week, Jupiter enters Capricorn and trines his Virgo Sun just before the Iowa caucus on January 3, a very promising sign.

In terms of his connection with the American people, his progressed Jupiter at 25º Leo opposes the U.S. Moon**, so that he taps into the religious faction, including the 40 percent of Iowa Republicans who call themselves evangelicals. As transiting Jupiter moves deeper into Capricorn, Huckabee's strength will probably wane, unless he can broaden his appeal. However, with Pluto entering Capricorn and trining his Sun, he may remain as a power-broker within the GOP, a king-maker representing the religious right.Source - Wandering Star

From Acumind:

Uranus sesqu'ed itself on Dec 16, sure to bring something he hadn't expected, while Jupiter inconjuncts Uranus at the same time, a little 'chiropractic adjustment' to steer his forces in the right direction. By the end of December, Jupiter trines the Sun, bringing a happy incident, and then goes into the 5th house at the end of the year, leading the way for Pluto to shortly follow and trine his sun as well.....power smiling upon hiim. Getting out of the 4th house will be a relief, as any major planet going thru a cardinal house (1-4-7-10) is always a more evolutionary time.

As January of 2008 dawns, and with it the Iowa caucus, Uranus does a mutual reception, and inconjuncts Jupiter, repaying the compliment of Jupiter to Uranus in December. Uranus is something sudden and Jupiter is usually good fortune of some kind. At the same time Uranus trines Saturn at the beginning of the year, showing a balance between structure and liberation. As the new year dawns, Pluto is still trining the Sun, but Neptune squares the moon on Jan 20th - this could have something to do with women not taking lightly his 'women should be subservient to the man" type comments....not in the U.S., with Uranus (liberation and freedom) in the first house, and the Moon (populace) in Aquarius (which Uranus rules) in the 10th house......those words could be fightin' words! Vedic Astrology Forecast

There is the same vedha from the candidate’s Jupiter to the USA Moon, and for Huckabee there is a triple ray from Ven, Mars, Sun to the USA Ketu in the coronation nakshatra. There is a tenuous link of Ketu to USA Saturn. There is a Moon-Saturn combination of Huckabee’s stuck onto the USA Ascendant and sending piercing rays straight across to the USA Moon. This chart of Huckabee’s however has nothing in the central alleys of the screaming letters, as there are no planets in the padas bordering the corners. Huckabee may be a corrective for the more strident Giuliani, and a way to X out Romney, but in the long run he probably will not, judging from Sarvatobhadra Chakra, be a lasting factor in the nomination contest. The ray from USA Ketu will undercut Huckabee’s Sun-Mars-Venus group in Magha that gives him his basic character force.

Source - Council of Vedic Astrology

There you have it, several interpretations of Mike Huckabee's astrology as it relates to the 2008 Presidential election.

In summary, the astrologers seem to infer that while Huckabee's "meteoric" rise in the polls and win in the Iowa primaries may last a little while longer, Huckabee's placement of signs and planets, ascendants and whatever else they use, points to Huckabee's popularity eventually waning.
