We wondered, will there finally be "justice" for Megan Meier in a Los Angeles Federal courthouse and the Lori Drew MySpace trial, as prosecutors rested their case Friday.

It was November of last year that DBKP first came across the story of Megan, of a cruel prank perpetrated upon her via the internet social site, MySpace.com., and its tragic aftermath.



According to the Los Angeles Times, Drew is accused of cyberbullying and setting up of a fake MySpace account in order to "deal" with Megan, a former friend of Drew's daughter, Sarah. A "plan" that was concocted by Drew, Drew's daughter, and an employee of Drew's, 18-yr-old Ashley Grills. A plan, that according to Lori Drew, was both "clever" and "funny", a plan that may have a hand in Megan's suicide.

It's been two years since the details of what actually occurred in the quiet town of Dardenne Prairie, located just west of St. Louis, have begun to emerge in the case against Lori Drew.





Dardenne Prairie is a short drive west of St. Louis on Interstate 70, across the multiple lane bridge built of steel and the broad expanse of the dark green waters of the Missouri river, to the smaller bedroom communities in St. Charles County. It's also the place where Megan Meier and Lori Drew's story riveted the nation.

Megan Meier grew up in Dardenne Prairie, where subdivisions and strip malls dot the low rolling hills of lush green landscape and quiet, tree-lined streets just off the busy I-70 corridor that stretches from Baltimore, Md., to Cove Fort, Utah. The subdivisions come in different sizes, shapes, and status. Some come with covenants: rules and regulations for a fee, such as whether homeowners can or cannot put up a fence, or the "proper" color to paint a house. Some have their own pools and clubhouses, while others, only a few choices in floor plans and the style of houses built. It was in one these subdivisions, located in Dardenne Prairie, that Megan Meier grew up and then eventually took her own life just shy of her 14th birthday by hanging herself in her bedroom closet.

It was shortly after the start of a new school year and a new school when Megan asked her parents, Tina and Ron Meier, permission to set up another MySpace.com account. MySpace.com is a popular social internet site for teens, even though the site requires its members be 14 years of age. This wasn't the first time Megan had an account on the social site: Megan's Mom, Tina, had previously caught Megan and Sarah Drew with a MySpace page. The two had posted a photo of a "good looking" girl in order to "meet boys online". Megan's mom shut down the account. When Megan asked her parents for a new MySpace account, where she'd "be herself", her parents agreed, after all it was only a matter of a few months before Megan turned 14, and "all the other fifth grade kids were doing it", plus there'd be strict supervision by her parents: such as when she could get online and have access, while Ron and Tina would be the one who logged in.


Megan had attended Fort Zumwalt public schools before she began classes at her new school, Immaculate Conception, in Dardenne Prairie. She no longer attended the same school as Sarah. A "heavy-set" girl, Megan had dropped 20 pounds, and loved such activities as swimming, boating, fishing, dogs, and rap music. She also battled depression and thoughts of suicide since 3rd grade when she began seeing a therapist. You see, Megan had a problem with self-esteem. She thought she "wasn't pretty enough".

Megan had been off and on-again "best friends" with Sarah Drew. Sarah was the same age, and lived a few doors down. The same applied for Megan's family and the Drew's: both Tina Meier and Sarah Drew's families socialised together as they raised their families in the Midwest atmosphere of achieving the American dream.

Until the trial Sarah Drew had been shielded by the press, so there's no information as to the circumstances that ended the friendship between Megan and Sarah. One could surmise the relationship consisted of growing up together in surburia: of trips to Mid Rivers Mall and the movies, of riding the bus to school and sleep-overs at each other's houses. Of sharing confidences and of the trials and tribulations of being a preteen. One can also imagine the shifting and nefarious patterns of pre-teen relationships: of partnerships and groups which form and then dissolve faster than the super-charged thunderstorms that occasionally contain hail and tornadoes. Of the "coldness" between two "best" friends after a spat, that lasted as long as the ice storms that would cover the streets, electrical wires, and limbs of trees in winter. It was after one such "spat" that the plan to "mess" with Megan emerged. A plan, which eventually may have had a partial hand in Megan's death.

Megan had a hard time accepting who she was and felt she wasn't "pretty enough". At the time of Megan's death, she had been working on losing weight, changing schools, making new friends, and a new MySpace page on the internet and she was no longer friends with Sarah Drew.

"Mom! Mom! Mom! Look at him!" Tina Meier recalls her daughter saying.

Josh had contacted Megan Meier through her MySpace page and wanted to be added as a friend.Yes, he's cute, Tina Meier told her daughter. "Do you know who he is?"

"No, but look at him! He's hot! Please, please, can I add him?"

Mom said yes. And for six weeks Megan and Josh - under Tina's watchful eye - became acquainted in the virtual world of MySpace.

It was soon after Megan set up her MySpace account that she was "contacted" by a boy named Josh, which some claim was the catalyst which eventually drove Megan to take her own life.

Part of the reason for Megan's rosy outlook was Josh, Tina says. After school, Megan would rush to the computer.

"Megan had a lifelong struggle with weight and self-esteem," Tina says. "And now she finally had a boy who she thought really thought she was pretty."

Josh "told" Megan that he was "home-schooled". Megan's Mom, Tina, said it seemed "odd" that Josh never gave Megan his phone number. Josh claimed he lived the same area as Megan.

It was Sunday, October 15, 2006, that Megan's "relationship" with Josh changed. Before, he had shown an avid interest in being "friends" with Megan, on MySpace, a new Josh emerged:

Conservatives are not allowed in Los Angeles. At least not in what is termed 'polite society." I found this out the hard way.

I spent 33 years calling Los Angeles home. Most of those years were spent blindly accepting the assumptions portrayed by the spare headline or sound bite on the nightly news: Christians are bad, government is good, and America is the cause of all the world's woes.

Advocating the spending of tax dollars for any and all social problems was the mark of a good and moral person. Professing concern for those less well off was mandatory for financially successful people and it was de rigueur to have a least one 'best friend' of color. Wearing an AIDS awareness ribbon, at that time, signaled your inclusion in the community of man.

In return for inclusion in this community, members had a free pass to substitute intentions for actions. One was free to indulge in hedonistic behavior under the guise of empowerment. Discovering one's 'inner self' validated what used to be termed sexual promiscuity. Labels were confining so members had license to create their own. Who wouldn't prefer being labeled a free spirit instead of a selfish tramp? And in LA, labels, not substance, determined the social pecking order.

Any opinion at variance with the herd was considered judgmental, which was a definite no-no. Debate was redefined as argument, which was also a no-no. These rules were made clear to me only in the breach.

At age 39, six words spoken on TV changed my life forever. In 1992, I chanced to see H. Ross Perot on TV one night. He was holding up a toilet seat as he said, "The military paid $700.00 for this." OK. Then he said the words that would change my life forever. "And this is all public knowledge."

Public knowledge?

Not where I lived. For some reason, this motivated me, for the first time in my life, to investigate and question all the 'public knowledge' I had absorbed over the years. The results shocked and angered me. The good news, however, was that my days as a 'useful idiot' came to a screeching halt.

Somehow, I found National Review, then Human Events, then the Washington Times. Their message was new to me. I was amazed that I had managed to live my whole without any glimmer that there was another, more valid, point of view out there. The conservative point of view.

I assumed that my friends, family and co-workers would be just as outraged as I to find they had only been exposed to one side of most issues. That was my first mistake. My second mistake was believing that facts counted.

I lost business and friends before I realized I had to keep my mouth shut and my opinions to myself. I remember having dinner one night with Eric and Brenda in their beautiful Bel Air mansion. This couple had the best our country has to offer. I'll never forget Brenda exclaiming over her shrimp cocktail, "America? 150 years of slavery!" By challenging her, and others like her, I slowly lost my membership in the LA community of man.

After a few years, the only place I could be myself in public was while attending conservative functions held by the few conservative organizations that were based in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, my (one and only) husband of three years left me, due in large part to my inability to stifle my opinions. (He owed his living to the very liberal trial lawyers and his friends made clear to him my views were not welcome) I also found it increasingly hard to attend family functions, as the barely concealed tolerant patronizing of my out-of-bounds views started to grate.

The final straw was an ordinary news article. Our government schools, under the guise of 'safe sex' and 'tolerance' hosted a "Leather Fest" in San Francisco. Attended by seventh graders, some of the exhibits actually taught these kids how to fist. I won't go into details, except to explain that it is a homosexual practice...having nothing to do with tolerance or safe sex. And my tax dollars were paying for it.

Enough. After 33 years, I decided to leave Los Angeles. In 2002, I sold my business, my home, everything. I set off to find a place in the world where I could be myself without ticking everyone off. I found it in a small fishing village, Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. It was the best decision I ever made. The few times I've looked back, I feel only regret that I spent so many years of my life allowing others to define me.

UN Says Los Angeles is Violating International Drug Treaties

The U.N. is declaring Los Angeles in violation of UN treaties.

If there is any further proof needed that the extranational, unelected bureaucrats at the United Nations would like to extend their power over the United States, look no further than this story.

The vending machines in Los Angeles violate international treaties and should be shut down, the U.N.-affiliated drug control board said Friday.

"The International Narcotics Control Board is deeply concerned about reports that computerized vending machines to dispense cannabis (marijuana) have been put into operation in Los Angeles," Philip O. Emafo, president of the board, said in a statement.

Will pot smokers be burning UN flags in LA?

They might, provided they can muster the energy to do so.

At least three Los Angeles medical marijuana dispensaries have installed vending machines to distribute the drug to people who carry cards authorizing marijuana use. The drug is said to alleviate chronic pain, loss of appetite and other ailments.

Supporters say the machines, which dispense 1/8th or 2/8th of an ounce of marijuana at a time, offers users lower drug prices and increases security.

In a modern-day clash of our federal system, marijuana use is illegal under U.S. federal law, which does not recognize the medical marijuana laws in California and 11 other states.

And now the UN wants to get involved?

The international busybody--which seats terror-sponsoring nations on its anti-terror board, sponsors conferences (i.e., vacations) for such media-shilled "problems" like climate change and has diverted more American tax dollars into the private bank accounts of corrupt officials than any old-style big-city political machine every could accomplish--ought to stick to what it does best: endlessly issuing statements warning countries about the United States and Israel.

And bungling everything its massive bureaucracy touches.

"Kiss My Ass and Pass the Oreos".

According to the AP, Britney Spears was released from Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center today.

Spears was admitted by paramedics Thursday night. Various MSM reports stated Ms. Spears had refused to "turn over" over her two toddler sons to her ex-husband, Kevin Federline's bodyguards after a scheduled visitation resulting in a "three hour standoff" with the police. Britney was then hauled off by paramedics and admitted to Cedars-Sinai "under the influence" of "some" substance.

The hospital hasn't released any information pertaining to Spear's condition nor as to why she was admitted. To do so would be a violation of the Federal Patient Privacy Act, or HIPAA.

A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson stated Friday that the officers on the scene of a "dispute" at Spear's home determined that paramedics needed to called.

Rumors ran rampant when it was reported that Britney was "being taken into "custody" after a "three hour" standoff with the cops.

LAPD officer JASON LEE has confirmed that she is "being taken into custody for being under the influence of an unknown substance for evaluation" and will more than likely be taken to the hospital. Source - ET Online

A video taken of Britney being hauled out of her house on a gurney by paramedics was the topic of the MSM outlets the next day. None of the reporters nor commentators mentioned the obvious, that someone had trespassed on Ms. Spears property and filmed the incident with an infrared camera, that Ms. Spears' right to privacy was violated.

More video showed Ms. Spears being loaded into the ambulance. News shows brought in their line-up of "experts." Pop psychologists, lawyers, representatives of "entertainment" shows all had a 30-second opinion, diagnosis or crystal ball as to what happened at Britney Spears' Beverly Hill's home and what might be the cause of Ms. Spears' erratic behavior.

Faux concern mixed with sheer glee, another celebrity's life to be sliced and diced on-air.

On Jan. 4th it was reported that Britney had lost custody rights of her two boys to her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

We've learned that Phil McGraw, "Dr. Phil," the psychologist talk show guru visited Britney "for an hour" while she was being discharged from Cedars.

"My meeting with Britney and some family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention," McGraw told the programs.

"She was released moments before my arrival and was packing when I entered the room. We visited for about an hour before I walked with her to her car. I am very concerned for her," he said. Source - myway

In the December 23 issue of People, Dr. Phil commented on the "mothering" skills of Britney's mom in lieu of the news that Britney's little sister, 16-year-old Jamie Lynn was pregnant.

"We know the Spears family, particularly the parents," he tells PEOPLE at Adrienne Maloof and Dr. 90210 Phil Nassif's holiday party in Beverly Hills on Saturday. "An asset that Britney and Jamie Lynn both have is a great and dedicated mother."

In the Jan. 5th edition of People, it was reported that Dr. Phil will be taping a show on Monday on "Britney's problems." The show will air Wednesday.

Cynicism stepped in and whispered, "what a brilliant ploy for a highly rated show." Who isn't fascinated with "Britney's problems"?

In a statement to Entertainment Tonight Dr. Phil spoke of meeting Britney at the hospital:

"My meeting with Britney and some family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention."

It's okay to be cynical of Dr. Phil's motives. But if you take a step back and look at Dr. Phil's track record of "advice" given out on his talk show and books he's written, Dr. Phil comes across as a "no-nonsense" common sense type of guy.

The People article went on to relate that Dr. Phil, according to a "source", tried to talk Britney and her father, Jamie, into Britney staying longer at Cedars, hopefully to get help.

Dr. Phil understands the "world of celebrities" and therefore may be able to relate to Britney in terms she can understand.

The mass MSM hysteria on Friday reached its peak with rumors that Kevin Federline feared for his two son's safety. Evidently he was so concerned when Britney refused to turn her two little boys, ages one and two, over to his bodyguards, Federline decided to go to Britney's house to "pick up the kids himself." On Jan. 4th, ET posted this anti-climatic article on its website:

ET confirms troubled pop star BRITNEY SPEARS will not be charged with anything stemming from the incident that occurred at her home Thursday night. "We aren't charging her with anything at this time," LAPD officer HARDING says. "She is at the [hospital] for her own health and welfare.

No charges were filed against Britney. One can almost hear the sighs of disappointment from the "entertainment" news sources.

Britney exacerbated the situation with behavior that has kept the MSM rating sharks fed for months, years. Yet in this case it's clear that the "facts" of what occurred at Britney's Beverly Hills home Thursday night were played to the hilt by the MSM and perhaps, by certain other individuals. Individuals who stand to gain some of Britney's fortune, a fortune earned by Ms. Spears' years of hard work at a very young age.

We wonder if Britney feels it's her against the world, the authorities, the judge in her custody case, the reporters and photographers who stick to her like glue, the pop psychologists on the endless "entertainment" news shows? And yet her behavior, and the news gossips who feed off of her, is symbiotic. A Mutual Dysfunction society.

Cap it off with a psychologist friend with a talk show who wants to dedicate a whole hour to your "problems."

That's Hollywood!

Dog the Bounty Hunter: Under-Privileged Kids in LA Get $26,000 Worth of Toys

A lot of under-privileged kids in Los Angeles found out what Dog the Bounty Hunter fans knew all along: the Dog has a big heart.

Duane "Dog" Chapman is no longer in the doghouse--at least in the minds of the children who benefited from the TV show's star's $26,000 for charity.

Pulling up to the Toy 'R Us store in LA in a stretch limo, the Bounty Hunter and his wife, Beth, bought 26,000 worth of Christmas presents for the Brotherhood of a New Destiny (BOND) Home for Boys and the Jim Gilian Youth Center.

Fans who were used to seeing the Bounty Hunter surrounded by his fugitive-hunting crew saw a different crew today: under-privileged children accompanied the Dog on his toy-buying spree.

Earlier, Chapman handed out toys to dozens of children and signed copies of his book "You Can Run But You Can't Hide" at the LA headquarters of BOND.

BOND founder Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson said he doesn't think Chapman is a racist and "deserves a second chance."

Dog, 54, then went around the store’s aisles with Beth filling up a number of trolley’s with toys for the kids, including footballs, remote-control cars and action figures.

An onlooker inside the store revealed that Dog was playing American Football with the children and was very generous with his money.

He said: “Dog was playing ball with the kids inside the store. He was throwing an American football around for them to catch. He had lots of trolley’s full of toys and was enjoying buying Christmas presents.”

The bystander also revealed how Dog was careful with what he bought for the children. “Dog was buying pretty much everything but he drew the line when one of the kids asked for a toy gun. He told the boy straight that they weren’t allowed any weapons.”

After the Dog’s massive shop, a lorry was on order to pick up the $26,000 worth of toys to transport them to the child centers.

Chapman then met fans outside the store and posed for a number of pictures before heading off back home after his good deed.

It was a different story on November 1.

Bounty Hunter Duane hit the front pages over a month ago, after he reportedly used a racial slur during a recorded conversation with his son, Tucker Chapman, in which he urged him to break up with a black girlfriend.

US magazine The National Enquirer taped the conversation and released it to the public after reportedly paying Tucker $15,000 for it.

The Honolulu-based bounty hunter first grabbed headlines when he captured
serial rapist and Max Factor heir Andrew Luster in Mexico in 2003.

His hit TV series followed him and his tattooed band of merry men as they tracked down bail jumpers. The show starred members of Chapman’s family, but Tucker Chapman was not regularly featured.

Dog’s show was taken off air indefinitely by the A&E network after the controversy.

Fans of the Bounty Hunter already knew the Dog had a big heart. But they aren't the only ones who can attest to that fact.

A lot of under-privileged kids in the Los Angeles area now also know it.
