Larry Sinclair: Latest on Obama Accuser

Everyone wanting to make this go away says there is no evidence. Obama supporters have continue to claim I was in a mental institution, even posted one post (but took it down just as quick) that I was in Federal Prison (until the realized the middle name and birth dates were wrong), among many, many other outright false statements about me.
Excerpt from Larry Sinclair's website

Evidence Means A Lot

The wheels have begun to come off of Larry Sinclair's claims that he shared nights of sordid sex and illicit drugs back in 1999 with the then State Representative Barack Obama. Sinclair has now offered "evidence" which he claims back up his allegations.

All references to Sinclair have disappeared from Whitehouse.com, the blog that offered the Duluth, Minnesota man the sum of $10,000 to take a polygraph and $100,000 if he passed, plus the results of the two subsequent polygraphs given to Sinclair via Whitehouse.com's polygraph expert.

DBKP Political Scandal Library

Over 40 DBKP stories and videos on scandals--so far--involving the 2008 presidential candidates. Included are Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John McCain and John Edwards.

Sinclair had posted a video on Youtube back at the end of January.

DBKP first wrote about Sinclair's video and his story of allegedly "hooking up" with the then State Representative Barack Obama in November of 1999:
Sinclair claims that "after having a few drinks, "Obama and I left in my limo, we began to drink, Mr. Obama acquired powdered cocaine for my use, crack cocaine for his use. I performed sex on Senator Obama , who at the time was a state representative for the state of Illinois. Mr. Obama knows these allegations to be true. I'm challenging Mr. Obama to come forth, be honest, stop claiming that his drug use is limited to his teenage years."

Sinclair goes on to directly address Obama:

"In 1999 you weren't a teenager. In 1999 you were a state representative for the people of the state of Illinois. In 1999, I performed oral sex on you in the back of my limo as well as in my hotel room in Gurnee, Illinois, two days later. If you challenge this, the authenticity of this allegation, I challenge you to take a polygraph test as I will submit to as well."

Sinclair goes on to claim the allegations are true:

"These allegations are true and need to told to the public. Let the public decide whether Mr. Obama is being forthright and honest."
On the blog, Big Head DC, Sinclair has produced a receipt which purportedly shows he stayed at a Comfort Inn during the dates of the "alleged" encounter with Obama. The receipt wasn't produced until well after Sinclair's video debuted on Youtube. It looks legit but does nothing to substantiate that Senator Obama was anywhere in the vicinity.

On January 23rd, DBKP wrote about what the tabloid, The Globe, had dug up about the Sinclair-Obama alleged scandal:
The Globe put out a story, "Obama Sex Scandal" in its latest edition. We'd put up a link but we're too cheap to spend the money for an online subscription and so quotes will have to suffice.

According to the details printed in the Globe of Sinclair's past, these "facts" could call into question the veracity of his claims.

According to the Globe Sinclair is a 46-year-old ex-con whose "spent time in prison in Florida, Arizona and Colorado on credit card fraud and other charges."

The Globe claims Sinclair was a coke and pot drug trafficker and also a "coyote," a person who "moved" people from Mexico to the United States. For a price.

Not only does the Globe claim Sinclair is an ex-con, coyote, dope trafficker, but that Sinclair has now been diagnosed with a "brain tumor" and "given only a little more than a year to live."
Since this story Sinclair has done nothing to refute the claims of the Globe. He has maintained that his "health" has been a separate issue.

More details emerged from the Globe story about the alleged incident back in 1999 between Sinclair and Obama:
The Globe has also expanded Sinclair's "story" about the night he "met" Obama at a lounge in Chicago. According the Globe, just after meeting the Senator at the lounge Sinclair told Obama he could "use a line (of cocaine) to wake up." Sinclair says Obama "made a phone call and said he could get it for me."

Sinclair says he gave Obama $250 which Obama allegedly used to buy crack and powder cocaine. In his Youtube video, Sinclair claims he and Obama also spent a gay ole time at a motel in Gurnee, Illinois.
Sinclair's Federal Lawsuit against Obama

The Blog, BigHeadDC, has the details of Larry's lawsuit.
This action is brought pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 1981, 18 U.S.C. 241 and the First Amendment of the United States Constitution’s right to Freedom of Speech. Defendants have and continue to conspire against the rights of citizens in that they are actively engaged in ongoing internet intimidation, claim to be conducting illegal investigations into plaintiff’s personal life, actively involved in preventing allegations of illegal drug use and sexual activity involving Defendant Obama from becoming public knowledge.
Rumors were rampant that Sinclair's lawsuit had been dismissed. DBKP did some searching was unable to verify it.

Sinclair submitted to two polygraphs over at Whitehouse.com. On 2-24-08, Whitehouse.com reported that Sinclair's two tests showed "deceptions."
Dr. Ed Gelb, Former President of the American Polygraph Association was the Polygraph expert selected by Whitehouse.com. He has done over 30,000 polygraph examinations over his long career. There were two polygraph tests administered by Dr. Gelb on Friday. the first polygraph asked Mr. Sinclair on his sex claims. The second polygraph test asked Mr. Sinclair on the drug use claims. There was deception indicated in both tests.
Controversy Surrounding Whitehouse.com, polygraphs and its experts

Whitehouse.com reported that the two polygraphs administered to Sinclair by Dr. Larry Gelb showed "deceptions." Whitehouse.com then reported they would release both videos of Sinclair taking the test as well as the results. So far neither the tests nor the results have been published by Whitehouse.com and all references to Larry Sinclair scrubbed from their site.

The limo and bar charges are on Visa card issued by Associates National Bank of Wilmington, Delaware (which was bought out by CitiBank in 2000) monthly statement closing date of November 15, 1999. Card number 4621-2001-3393-5533. Which Citi Group has been contacted and is researching for those statements. Because I unlike most of you internet warriors insist on putting out only factual information. So any of you who think you now that I do not have any receipts, witnesses etc….. THINK AGAIN
Respectfully, Larry Sinclair
(Excerpt - Larry Sinclair's website)

Convolutions, Contortions, and Smokescreens

Sinclair alleges that Whitehouse.com reneged on its deal to pay Sinclair the upfront monies for taking the polygraph.

From Big Head DC:

Mr. Dan Parisi, President
WhiteHouse.com
295 Greenwich Street, Ste 184
New York, New York 10007-1049

RE: Returned Check

Dear Mr. Parisi,

Be advised that Lisa Brooks and Myself were notified by US Bank of Duluth this afternoon that Walden Federal (the bank in which Whitehouse.com Check Number 2046 is drawn on) has notified them a STOP PAYMENT was placed on your fee payment of $20,000.00 dated 2-21-08.

I have contacted the Financial Crimes Division of the Duluth Police Department this date concerning this matter. US Bank as informed Ms. Brooks and myself that the check has not yet been physically returned to them unpaid, but that if it is it will be returned to me by March 7, 2008.

Excerpt from purported email Sinclair sent to Dan Parisi of Whitehouse.com

DBKP found a line of comments posted by Sinclair during this period in the comment section of his Youtube Video. These comments were posted right after Whitehouse.com reported that Sinclair had taken the two polygraphs but just before the "deceptions" were announced. This was the period of time when the Globe piece alleging Sinclair had spent time in prison for credit card fraud, admitted to drug and human smuggling from Mexico and a "brain tumor" which meant Sinclair has less than a year to live.

In this line of comments taken from the Sinclair's video site, Sinclair seems to be hitting up the other posters for cash:

LarrySinclair 0926 (3 days ago)
I will not post anything concerning my health here or anywhere else. I will not because it is not the issue and I assure you that the Globe has been given an ear full for even eluding to my personal medical information. This story is to be on the merits and the facts about Obama's past. Not my health.

LarrySinclair 0926 (3 days ago)
Polygraph was in fact done today out of security concerns. See whitehouse dot com

No, a second indepndent expert is doing what was explained to me as a blind analysis of the charts. The results will not even be provided to us until Monday at the earliest.

I am fucking sick of of the shit you and others have sent my way and I am ready to fight you face to fucking face. If you do not have the balls, then be the bitch you are and get the fuck off my youtube page.

Just the facts, Ma am.

At this point the only evidence presented by Sinclair is a copy showing he stayed at a Choice Hotel in Gurnee, Illinois on the dates he claims he "met" Obama for sordid sex and drugs and a copy of the limo and bar charges.

There are no witnesses or evidence placing Senator Obama at the bar, in the limo, or at the hotel.

Whitehouse.com has purged all evidence of their involvement with Sinclair from their website.

Sinclair claims he has both a Masters degree and a degree in law.

The address on the lawsuit filed by Sinclair is for an assisted living center in Duluth.

Sinclair has not supplied any background info on what any of his former occupations were, where he lived, or any criminal records.

At this juncture, the allegations made against Senator Obama are still allegations. There has been no proof supplied which ties Senator Obama to the scene. Sinclair is embroiled in accusations countered against Whitehouse.com, claiming they supplied a polygraph expert who lied about his credentials and that the owner of Whitehouse.com, reneged on paying Sinclair the monies owed to him for taking the test.

If Mr. Sinclair can supply copies of bar receipts and hotel stays from back in 1999 then he should also be able to provide information about his own past: prior convictions, brain tumors, any other allegations made against individuals.

If Sinclair had passed the polygraphs he still would face other hurdles which one should have to overcome when making the kinds of allegations Sinclair has made against Senator Obama. This is more than just he said-he said, this a man claiming a Senator running for President lied about his prior drug use and had gay sex with Mr. Sinclair. Therefore the onus is on Sinclair. Sinclair has to back his claims with cold, hard evidence.

Hitting up youtubers for cash with claims of "doubling" their "contributions" hurt Sinclair's already flimsy credibility. He claims he has both a masters and a law degree. Again, if he can find a 1999 bar receipt he can find paperwork which verifies the degrees. He can also fill in the large gaps about his own background, where he's lived and where he's held jobs and what his current situation is, especially if he does, indeed, have a brain tumor with less than a year to live.

Hillary Clinton Announces Edwards' Exit, Was "It" for the Right Price?

The day after the Republican primary in Florida produced John McCain as its winner, a new surprise was reported by the AP:
DENVER - Democrat John Edwards is exiting the presidential race Wednesday, ending a scrappy underdog bid in which he steered his rivals toward progressive ideals while grappling with family hardship that roused voters' sympathies, The Associated Press has learned.
All sappiness regarding Edwards aside the more interesting story tagged on to the side was Hillary Clinton's "announcement" during an interview this morning with King5 News in Seattle.

Despite the fact that Edwards had not made a formal or informal announcement that he was dropping out of the presidential race, Hillary told the King5 News Team that Edwards had called her on the phone to tell her that he was dropping out.

Hillary gave a glowing referral to Edward's campaign while giving her own stump speech as to why Edward's supporters should support her.

We wondered what was behind the scenes with Hillary and Edwards little telephone talk
and whether Edwards knew Hillary would be announcing his departure from the race.

We also wondered if any deals had been made, if Edwards was given any promises of future positions within the Hillary cabinet, perhaps even the V-P slot.

We were surprised to hear of Edwards' impending departure as Edwards had said he was going to stick to his campaign all the way, even if he failed to score in next week's Super Tuesday, that he intended to ride his campaign bus to the doors of the Democrat's convention held in Denver in late August.

We saw a different side to Edwards than the AP reporter, Nedra Pickler, did.

Yes, Edwards did have "high" ideals, on poverty, on the working class guys, on "corporations" that screwed the "little guy."

Edwards talked a good talk but never walked the walk. The former Senator from North Carolina had spent more time campaigning for President than the time he served as Senator. Edwards first run in the 2004 Democrat presidential campaign landed him a spot as John Kerry's VP running mate.

The Kerry-Edwards coupling failed to win despite a close race. Some say Edwards began to plan his "campaign" to win the 2008 Presidential campaign soon after the 2004 defeat.

Despite his "new" message of "working" for the underdog, the underclass, and all things "under," Edwards message failed to garner the votes he needed in the primaries, coming in third behind the battling polbots, Hillary and Obama.

As a solid third place finisher, Edwards does have a voter base, which both Obama and Hillary would benefit from.

Hillary's "announcement" that Edwards was quitting the race told us that the Edwards base will be hand delivered to her via Edwards during his "so long" speech, but for a "price."

Could it be a VP slot or the Hillary cabinet, such as Attorney General. All we know it won't be for chump change. Politicians never, ever do anything "for free."

Time will tell what the Hillary-Edwards deal entails, whether the "price was right". Unless this morning's revelation from Hillary wasn't pre-approved by Edwards.

Then, perhaps, it will be Obama's turn to "spin the wheel."

Sen. Larry Craig: ACLU Files Brief - Sex Okay in MN Public Stalls

''I am not gay. I never have been gay.''
Senator Larry Craig at a news conference, August 27, 2007

The American Civil Liberties Union may become Idaho Republican Senator Larry Craig's best friend and worst nightmare, if the ACLU brief filed Tuesday with the Minnesota Court of Appeals, in support of the attempt to appeal Craig's August 8 conviction of Disorderly Conduct, is successful.

The appeal, if accepted by the court, shoots down Craig's attempts to deny he was in an airport bathroom stall playing footsies with an undercover cop to signal he was looking for sex. This would also further undercut Craig's denials that he is not homosexual. Charges that have been rampant since it was announced in August that he had been caught in an undercover bathroom sting and subsequently plead guilty to Disorderly Conduct without any advice from counsel.

According to the Associated Press, Craig was arrested on June 11 and originally charged with interference with privacy, which dovetails with the brief the ACLU filed with the court. The ACLU is citing a Minnesota Supreme Court ruling made 38 years ago that found "people who have sex in closed stalls in public restrooms "have a reasonable expectation of privacy.""

The ACLU argued that the original charge of "interference of privacy" proves Craig's intent was indeed sex when he was arrested June 11. He had a "right to privacy" which included sex and should never have been charged, referring to the 38-year-old decision by the Minnesota Supreme Court.

"The government cannot prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Senator Craig was inviting the undercover officer to engage in anything other than sexual intimacy that would not have called attention to itself in a closed stall in the public restroom," the ACLU wrote in its brief.

Craig plead guilty to Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct on August 8 in Hennepin County Municipal Court, in Bloomington, Minnesota. According to CNN, Craig plead guilty to Disorderly Conduct, paid a $500 fine, and received a sentence of 10 days in jail that was stayed.
Minnesota law defines disorderly conduct as brawling, disturbing a meeting or engaging in "offensive, obscene, abusive, boisterous or noisy conduct."

According to Roll Call, the arresting officer alleged that Craig lingered outside a rest room stall where the officer was sitting, then entered the stall next door and blocked the door with his luggage.

According to the arrest report cited by Roll Call, Craig tapped his right foot, which the officer said he recognized "as a signal used by persons wishing to engage in lewd conduct."

The report alleges Craig then touched the officer's foot with his foot and the senator "proceeded to swipe his hand under the stall divider several times," according to Roll Call.

At that point, the officer said he put his police identification down by the floor so Craig could see it and informed the senator that he was under arrest, before any sexual contact took place.
When the news broke in August of Craig's arrest back in June, Craig denied any inappropriate behavior:
"At the time of this incident, I complained to the police that they were misconstruing my actions. I was not involved in any inappropriate conduct," he said. "I should have had the advice of counsel in resolving this matter. In hindsight, I should not have pled guilty. I was trying to handle this matter myself quickly and expeditiously."
Craig argued that he plead guilty because he wanted to handle the matter himself, "quickly and expeditiously." The fact of the matter was that Craig was arrested on June 11 and didn't go to court until two months later on August 8, where he plead guilty. Therefore Craig had two whole months to consider obtaining the advise of an attorney and/or changing his plea.
NN) -- Sen. Larry Craig on Thursday said he was not resigning from the Senate despite a Minnesota judge denying his request to withdraw his guilty plea stemming from his arrest in a sex sting at an airport men's room.

"I am extremely disappointed with the ruling issued today," Craig said in a statement. "I am innocent of the charges against me. I continue to work with my legal team to explore my additional legal options."

"I will continue to serve Idaho in the United States Senate, and there are several reasons for that," the Republican said. Source - CNN
In an effort to appeal his guilty plea Craig's own attorneys filed an appeal, Jan. 8:
From Fox News:
An appeals brief filed Tuesday contends that Minnesota's disorderly conduct law "requires that the conduct at issue have a tendency to alarm or anger 'others"' — underscoring the plural nature of the term.

Craig's brief goes on to cite other convictions that were overturned because the multiple-victim test wasn't met. His lawyers apply the same logic to his case.
This was after Minnesota Judge Charles Porter ruled Craig's original guilty plea would stand:
Hennepin County District Judge Charles Porter found that Craig had entered the guilty plea to a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge "accurately, voluntarily and intelligently," and that it was too late to withdraw his admission.

In a sharply worded 27-page order, the judge found that Craig had freely given his plea after extensive discussions with prosecutors and after waiving his right to an attorney.

"The defendant, a career politician with a college education, is of at least above-average intelligence," Porter wrote. "He knew what he was saying, reading, and signing.
If the ACLU appeal is successful in getting Craig's guilty plea reversed, it will be a mixed bag of blessings for Craig. Since it relates to the older Minnesota Supreme Court ruling that said people had a right to privacy in public bathrooms "including sex," it may mean Craig's month's long crusade to have his guilty plea overturned will finally be over. But with the addendum, he'll still be stuck in a moral quagmire, that Craig was there for "gay" sex, the charge he continues to deny.

"Time For Edwards' Exit": Scandals, Dick Morris, and Tenacity

Through a "scandal that never was," the "John Edwards Love Child" story, consistently coming in third place in the primaries and a gentle velvet gloved scolding from Dick Morris and Eileen McGann, John Edwards isn't about to quit the campaign for the President. Anyone who knows John Edwards, former one time Senator from South Carolina, feisty civil court attorney, knows Edwards' tenaciousness, especially when it comes to his major occupation, running for President.

Dick Morris and Eileen McGann's piece in today's New York Post, "Time For Edward's Exit" is a hoot.

Morris and McGann have decided it's time for Edwards' exit from the Dem's campaign for President and we like how they tried to handle it, attempting to deliver a "pink slip" with a "velvet glove" touch.
To date, Edwards has been a passionate and effective advocate of the need for change. His opposition to special-interest funding of our politics and his good example in refusing to take funds from political action committees both merit our praise and admiration.
They point out that Edwards remaining in the race has unintentional or intentional consequences. It depends on what Morris and McCann's intent was in delivering this missive:
Edwards divides the anti-Clinton vote - and so undermines the prospects for the changes that he so passionately demands in our government. By staying in, he's helping deliver the nomination to the person whom he has described as the defender of the status quo.
They hit Edwards with "facts":
Just how hopeless is his candidacy? Realclearpolitics.com's average of national polls has him in third place - with Clinton at 41 percent, Obama at 35 percent and Edwards at just 15 percent. Even in South Carolina (right next door to his home state), he's polling at only 15 percent to Obama's 42 percent and Clinton's 30 percent.
What does this all mean? Let's try some perspective.

John Edwards has become the quintessential professional politician, his sole "employment" or vocation since running for VP on the ticket with John Kerry in the last election, Edwards has been "officially" campaigning for the 2008 Presidential race since December of 2006.Source - MSNBC

From the New York Times, January 6th:
Appearing on “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” Sunday morning, Mr. Edwards said that he would not drop out of the race after the New Hampshire primary.

“This is the cause of my life, and I have no intention of stopping,” Mr. Edwards said. “I am in this through the convention and to the White House.

“Through the convention?” Mr. Stephanopoulos repeated, somewhat incredulously.

“Absolutely,” Mr. Edwards said.

“Even if you lose here, lose in South Carolina, lose in Florida?” Mr. Stephanopoulos continued.

“I am in this through the convention and to the White House,” Mr. Edwards replied.

The Scandal That Never Was....

The National Enquirer broke the "Love Child Scandal" story on Edwards back in December. The "second" such scandal to break, it detailed a very pregnant woman named Rielle Hunter ensconced in a ritzy gated community close to Edward's campaign headquarters in North Carolina:
The woman linked to Presidential candidate John Edwards in a cheating scandal is more than six months pregnant and telling a close confidante that Edwards is the father of her unborn child, The NATIONAL ENQUIRER has learned exclusively.

The NATIONAL ENQUIRER's political bombshell comes just weeks after Edwards emphatically denied having an affair with Rielle Hunter, who formerly worked on his campaign.

But The ENQUIRER has now confirmed not only that Rielle is pregnant, but she is also living in Chapel Hill, N.C. in a gated community, just a few streets away from Andrew Young, who has been a key official in Edwards' campaign. Source - DBKP - John Edwards Shared More Than Just Shampoo With Rielle Hunter
The MSM gave the story a wide berth. Not one single MSM organization looked into the Enquirer's charge that Edwards had an affair with Ms. Hunter. That she was now living rent free in an Edward's supporter's house, driving a car owned by a former Edwards campaign official and good buddy, Andrew Young.

Edwards was given a "Get Out Of Scandal Free" Card by the MSM. No mention of the "Love Child" was made by any of the MSM outlets.

Edwards was free to "campaign" focusing on the downtrodden, those who were getting "screwed" by "the Man."

"Hedging" on the Hedge funds

Edwards described his "work" for the hedge fund company, Fortress Investment Group, in May, 2007, as a "lesson in learning."
"I didn't feel like I understand, and to be honest with you still learning right now, sort of the relationship between that world and the way money moves in this country through financial markets," Edwards said.

Edwards said he also spoke to some Wall Street investment firms such as Goldman Sachs besides exploring the position with Fortress. He said his role was to advise the firm about what he saw happening economically in the United States and during his travels overseas. Source - newsmax
The people at Fortress really, really liked John Edwards, the man who's campaigning for the "little guy."
Fortress Investment Group, founded in 1998, describes itself as "a leading global alternative asset manager" with approximately $35.1 billion in assets under management as of December 31, 2006. The company is headquartered in New York with affiliates around the world.

Fortress was the single biggest employer of Edwards donors during the first three months of the year. Donors who listed "Fortress" as their employer contributed $67,450 to Edwards' campaign and supporters who identified their employer as "Fortress Investment Group" gave $55,200 to the campaign, according to Federal Election Commission records. Source - newsmax
Edwards learned another lesson after it was discovered his "hedge fund" was foreclosing on the most innocent of victims:
Embarrassed presidential hopeful John Edwards promised yesterday to take millions of dollars of his own fortune out of a hedge fund tied to subprime lenders who foreclosed on victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The populist candidate - who has denounced such lenders - invested $16 million of his $30 million in assets in Fortress Investment Group. The Wall Street Journal reported that 34 New Orleans homeowners struggling to overcome Katrina's aftermath faced foreclosure suits from subprime-lending units of Fortress.

Yesterday, the red-faced Democratic candidate vowed to remove from his portfolio any Fortress funds that have a stake in those lender units.

"I will not have my family's money involved in these firms that are foreclosing on people in New Orleans," he said while on the campaign trial in Des Moines, Iowa.

John Edwards, Professional Politician

From PBS, the 2004 Presidential Election:
Speculation about John Edwards' presidential aspirations date back to the 2000 campaign, when Al Gore mentioned the North Carolina senator's name as his second choice for a running mate on the Democratic ticket.

Edwards, a man with deep Southern roots, began 2003 as a top contender for the Democratic presidential nomination, and before the election season was even under way, several magazines -- People, the New Yorker and the New Republic, among others -- had published profiles of the senator.

Edwards was elected Senator of South Carolina in 1998. In 2003, he announced his decision to retire and to run for President in the 2004 election. Failing to win the nomination for President, Edwards was chosen by the nominee, Senator John Kerry, as his running mate.

Kerry and Edwards were defeated in the 2004 election but by December 2006, Edwards was once again announcing his intention to run for President in the 2008 election. Source - Wiki

By our calculations Edwards has been both officially and unofficially running for the office of the Presidency longer than he was a Senator.

Morris and McGann feel it's time for Edwards to "gracefully" remove himself from the race with sugarcoated kudos. Surely both Morris and McGann know Edwards by now, that Edwards only does what Edwards wants to do.

At this juncture it's premature to declare either Obama or Hillary as a "sure thing." Edwards, a wily ex-civil attorney, knows this too. The race is far from over and Edwards is doing what he does best: run for President.

Sen. Craig Digs Deeper Hole: Files 'Multiple" Victim Appeal

The Curious Case of Senator Craig

In a quest to have his Guilty Plea flushed in a Disorderly Conduct charge, Senator Larry Craig's attorneys filed a brief with the Minnesota Appeals Court Tuesday.

The Republican Senator from Idaho plead guilty in August, without the advice of an attorney, after he was caught in a bathroom sting at a Minneapolis airport. Craig contends his guilty plea was a mistake and the original charge, "misconstrued".

Craig's attorneys' argue that Craig's "alleged" conduct affected only a single individual, the cop in the bathroom stall next to him. The undercover cop who alleges Craig played "gay" footsies with him between the two stalls. Since there was only the one cop, according to Craig's attorneys, this doesn't satisfy the "others" involved in the disorderly conduct statute.

Apparently in the minds of Craig's attorneys, Craig would have had to played "footsie" with several pretend "light in the loafer" lads for a Disorderly Conduct charge to apply.

As a United States Senator surely Craig is familiar with what may happen when one pleads guilty, not guilty, or the "Fifth".

Senator Craig made the decision to plead guilty back in August to a Disorderly Conduct charge then announced he would resign September 30th.

Something happened at the end of September: Senator Larry Craig did not resign as promised and continued to fight his "Guilty" plea in Minnesota.

The Minnesota Judge in the case ruled that the Guilty plea would stand:
Hennepin County District Judge Charles Porter found that Craig had entered the guilty plea to a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge "accurately, voluntarily and intelligently," and that it was too late to withdraw his admission.

In a sharply worded 27-page order, the judge found that Craig had freely given his plea after extensive discussions with prosecutors and after waiving his right to an attorney.

"The defendant, a career politician with a college education, is of at least above-average intelligence," Porter wrote. "He knew what he was saying, reading, and signing.

Craig was accused of making sexual overtures to an undercover cop in a public restroom at the Minneapolis airport. The charge he plead guilty to was Disorderly Conduct.

Why would a United States Senator plead guilty to a charge of Disorderly Conduct if he was innocent, as Craig contends?

Usually when someone pleads it's in the "down" direction to a lesser charge. Craig's fight with the court is to "clear" his name. The way he's going about it, having his attorneys argue that the charge against him is invalid because there were not "multiple victims" involved, will not mitigate the public's perception one iota of Craig in this matter.

Craig's tattered reputation will remain intact.

Let Us Now Turn To:

Page AK-47 in Your Sunday Steyn

If it were 200 years ago, none of you would be reading this: you'd be preparing to go to church services, as all God-fearing Americans of that time did; and the Internet would have been regarded, and rightly so, as a tool of the devil.

There were no thoughts of jihad and depopulation. No thoughts of thugs with turbans, festive suicide bubbling up from their hearts. With this in mind, let us harken to another era: a time of quiet, uplifting prayer and meditation. And with great joy and thanksgiving, let us now turn to page AK-47 and join in a rousing rendition of Our Sunday Steyn.

Princess Diana, millionaire conspiracy theorists and the Royal Family are themes in right wing madman(RWM) Mark Steyn's story'Princess Diana's Murder and Islamoparanoia' for the Orange County Register.

The story concerns a London court which convened last week to consider whether, and/or if, Princess Diana was murdered, whodunit, and the consequences. Sinister theories abound, some having to do with the Royal Family and probably the CIA and Mossad as well. The 'religion of peace', like so much news from the U.K. these days, plays a part. One can't be blamed for wishing a weapon were near.
Look, I like a conspiracy theory as much as the next guy, and I'm entirely prepared to consider the possibility that Di got whacked. But not because she was dating a Muslim.

On hearing the news that the princess' new beau was a Mohammedan, the British establishment would have been more likely to pop the champagne than order up a hit team
A roller-coaster ride of narrative follows, taking the reader through some sordid details of the "People's Princess" life and death. A hard, sharp detour through the 2007 American political scene is next.
You see something similar in the persistent stream of e-mails from readers demanding to know why I don't refer to Barack Obama as "Barack Hussein Obama," that being his full dress handle. The argument is that, if you use his middle name, people will realize he's some sort of Indonesian madrassah alumnus, and his numbers will head south.

Well, his numbers seem to be heading south without any help from me. My correspondents might be better advised to demand that I start referring to Hillary Saddam Clinton. But that's not the reason I demur. Like Fayed, they're mistaking a virtue for a liability. If the Right were to start insisting that Sen. Obama is not the first African-American president-in-waiting but the first Islamo-African-American president-in-waiting, a big chunk of progressive voters would merely go: Wow! Even cooler.
After a few further twists and turns, with more one-liners than a Henny Youngman YouTube festival, the RWM demonstrates how the sad tale of Diana is a thumbnail of the worldwide strategic picture. How does he do it? Is it convincing?

The answer is worth another link. Say a prayer for the Internet, that you might read Princess Diana's Murder and Islamoparonoia in the comfort of your home. Finish your coffee. Flip the 'safety' off your gun.

Then take out that hymnal and sing.
