Obama's efforts to influence the election in Kenya has been relatively under-reported by the media in America. Specifically, Obama has lent his good name and fortune to the candidacy of Raila Odinga.

On one level this support is not surprising, as Obama made clear in his Dreams From My Father that he considered himself some sort of quasi-citizen of Africa--especially Kenya, his ancestral home.

And it should be noted that while Obama never really knew his father, he does know Odinga. And Odinga claims, rather credibly--but without written proof--that he is a relative of Obama. Both are from the Luo tribe of Kenya.

"Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga has said he is a cousin of US presidential hopeful Barack Obama.

Mr Odinga told the BBC's The World Today that Senator Obama's father was his maternal uncle."


Obama apparently denies the relationship. But that has not prevented him from supporting Raila Odinga.

Obama has contributed about $950,000 to the Odinga campaign.

These monies were reported to have come from "The Friends Of Senator BO:

World Net Daily reports: "According to several highly credible ex-ODM sources WND interviewed in Kenya, the $950,000 raised for Odinga's campaign came from a series of private meetings arranged for Odinga by Mark Lippert, a foreign policy adviser in Obama's U.S. Senate office. The meetings with top-dollar Obama fundraisers and donors took place during Odinga's 2006 trip to the U.S."

Obama was by no means the only recognizable figure on the list.

Dick Morris is there. So is Omar Khaddafi.

And although the list of donors on the internal document--purportedly issued as a memorandum by Orange Democratic Movement, Odinga's party--appears true, it has some oddities. Like, who is Spectre International and Associates?

Nevertheless the document is generally thought to be true, and it does follow a series of leaks of internal Orange Documents by certain former staffers.


So who is Odinga?

Well, that is troubling. Because this is a very unpleasant man.

He was jailed in 1982 in a failed coup. Although he is said not to be a Muslim he was initially set up in the Kenyan oil business by Khadaffi; he parlayed that into a lot of influence and money.

The Saudis were particularly helpful in advancing his "career". He also developed a lot of ties with the radical Muslim community, an alliance--allegedly brokered by the Saudis--that he hid from his own political party and its members. And for good reason: Odinga's election goal appears to have been to effectuate a Muslim coup of the government, although Muslims make up only 10% of this Christian nation.

According to Voice of America and the Evangelical Alliance of Kenya, on 8/29/07, Odinga signed a secret agreement (exposed 11/27) with Sheikh Abdullah Abdi of the National Muslim Leaders Forum (NAMLEF) in which he agreed to institute Islamic law in exchange for Abdi’s support (eakenya.org)–thereby potentially disenfranchising and curtailing the liberties of millions of Christian Kenyan women. Further, he promised that Muslims suspected of terrorism would be safe from extradition—thereby establishing a ‘safe haven’ for terrorists in Kenya.

After the public outcry, Odinga denied signing a secret agreement. Angry at Odinga’s apparent repudiation, a member of NAMLEF subsequently released the agreement to the press. Odinga then claimed the document was a forgery, but acknowledged a secret agreement had been signed in exchange for Muslim support. Finally, under constant pressure, Odinga released what he claimed was the actual document (“Real” MOU) a considerably watered down version of the original; but still anathema to many Christian groups. “In response to the revelations, The Evangelical Alliance of Kenya released a statement in which church leaders said Raila, in both MOUs, ‘comes across as a presumptive Muslim president bent on forcing Islamic law, religion and culture down the throats of the Kenyan people in total disregard of the Constitutionally guaranteed rights of freedom of worship and equal protection of the law’” (“Concerns Raised Over Alleged Vow To Enforce Islamic Law in Kenya” Christian Post 12/18/2007) To many westerners, the idea of imposing Sharia in a predominantly Christian country may have seemed fanciful. However, Kenya has had Sharia courts for family law (not criminal law)—called Khadi courts—since 1963.

Many liberals here in America doubt this memo exists--despite Odinga's initial lies and subsequent admission. But, the liberal analysis seems weak and strained. They argue that it would violate the Constitution. A rather stupid argument when the Memo itself calls for the repudiation of the Constitution. I mean, it is not like Odinga ever gave a rat's ass about legalisms in the past. For instance the document (https://secure.wikileaks.org/leak/MOU_between_Ralia_Odinga_and_Muslims.pdf) provides:

b) Within 6 months re-write the Constitution of Kenya to recognize Shariah as the only true law sanctioned by the Holy Quran for Muslim declared regions.

c) With immediate effect dismiss the Commissioner of Police who has allowed himself to be used by heathens and Zionists to oppress the Kenyan Muslim community.
g) Within one year facilitate the establishment of a Shariah court in every Kenyan divisional headquarters.

But Odinga lost the election.

Initially it was credibly reported that Odinga lost by fraud perpetrated by the incumbent, a not particularly strong candidate because of his promise not to run again. (Has a candidate ever kept that promise?).

But then the government persisted in its allegation that Christians had been disenfranchised from certain voting districts. And while we will likely never know who was the winner of the election, we know who the losers were: Kenya, free speech, Christians and members of tribes other than the Luo and their allies.




As Market Watch reported:

For a few days both Nairobi and Kisumu were literally ablaze. Candidates who escaped the violence and who chose to run on parties other than the party Oginga was running on had to publicly step down when Oginga attended their rallies and publicly asked them to step down and support his party.

But that hardly touched upon the horror unleashed upon anyone identified as Christian.

In an aftermath government report, it was learned that many Odinga supporters had stocked up on machetes, gasoline, and other weapons commencing months before the election. They did not hesitate to use them.

While some surmise that the Muslim/Luo riots were a response to election tampering, the stockpiling of weapons supports the supposition that the attacks were planned all along, even if Odinga won. It was to be a Muslim assault on Kenyan society, with large elements of tribal infighting.

Allies of convenience.

Under any circumstances the rioters had all of the characteristics of Muslim expansionists that the world has seen so often in the past 30 years. Christians were pulled out of their cars and killed if they were of the wrong religion. Their homes and businesses were burned. Young girls were gang-raped in front of their parents and siblings. Men were 'circumcised' with machetes while captive crowds were forced to watch. Limbs were hacked off, both men and women were sexually mutilated in the streets and left to die.

It is estimated 1,500 died. The result was the exodus of 150,000 people from their homes. An attempt to purify Muslim/Luo areas and establish control.

The Mainstream Media still pretends this had nothing to do with religion.

Odinga is a pig.

As for Obama, we found an excellent summary by Zimbio on Free Republic.

It would be difficult to improve upon.

Clearly, Obama campaigned for someone who is corrupt, ruthless and has financial ties to terrorists.

More importantly, Obama campaigned for a candidate who had the stated objective of dismantling US & Kenyan government efforts to root out Al Queda and other terrorist organizations--organizations that had already caused the deaths of hundreds of Americans and Africans in embassy bombings.

Senator Obama’s actions—intentional or not—were in direct conflict with the efforts and interests of US national security.

I think this raises serious questions about the judgment, maturity and readiness of Senator Obama.

What's in a Name?

More than a few inaccurate stories about the origins of Barack Obama's name have made their way into mainstream media, so I thought I'd do some research fo my own.

In an effort to allow voters and interested media to educate themselves, rather than relying on pre-conceived notions and partisan spin from both sides, I started without pre-established concepts or assumptions and attempted to avoid propaganda effects by using original sources from prior to Barack Obama even becoming a public figure and Illinois Senator in 1997.

Let's proceed, shall we?

Barack Obama's full name is Barack(1) Hussein(2) Obama (3).

(1) The name Barack is a form of the Arabic word Baraka or Barakah, meaning blessing (from the root "Brk"), specifically, the "meaning of Barakah in an Islamic sense" refers to "the presence of divine blessing in an object and increasing those blessing." So what contains Barakah? The Qur'an and The Prophets, according to the following site.

So where might find the name of a Qur'an prophet?

(2) Barack Obama's middle name Hussein is derived from the muslim prophet Muhammed's grandson, (son of Fatima), specifically:

Husayn, one of the most popular Muslim names, was borne by Al-Husayn (626-80), a son of the Prophet's daughter Fatima and Ali ibn-Abi-Talib. Husayn and his followers were massacred at Kerbela on October 10, 680, a day that is now celebrated as a Holy Day for the Shiites. The name is also borne by the king of Jordan, Husayn ibn-Talal (b. 1935). He ascended to the throne in 1953 after the abdication of his father in 1952. Norman also contends that "Arabic names can be put into two general categories: pre-Islamic and post-Islamic. Pre-Islamic names were mainly influenced by nature, occupations, personal characteristics and genealogy. Post-Islamic names were influenced by the Prophet Muhammad, the catalyst for the beginning of a vast cultural transformation in the Arab world". p. 369

So what does Obama mean?

(3) The name Obama is a family name three generations back, from Barack Obama's father "Barack Obama, Sr.", to his father, "Hussein Onyango Obama", and likely before, though earlier records will probably be found only in archives.

Those wishing to further research Hussein Onyango Obama's father might check a 1935 dental study done of the 190 boys and men at the Jalou Maseno school in 1935.

For those curious about the name Onyango, it apparently means born in the morning in Jalou, the language of Obama's grandfather, from the Jalou Tribe in Kenya that occupied the shores along Lake Victoria and Kisumu Bay

Conclusion

The name Barack (blessing) prepended on the second name Hussein (grandson of Mohammed) modifies Hussein like an adjective, and Barack Hussein Obama literally means "Blessing of Al-Husayn" Obama.

Again, Al-Husayn was son of the muslim Prophet Mohammed's daughter Fatima (and Ali ibn-Abi-Talib,), who was massacred at Kerbela on October 10, 680.

The name Barack is Arabic in origin, and when isolated is not necessarily muslim. The name Hussein is muslim in origin, and when combined the name Barack Hussein Obama is muslim.

An update on kidnapped 13- and 10-year old Pakistani Christian girls. A Muslim judge declared that they have converted to Islam and cannot see their family again.

The Judge never saw them.

Update about the adolescent girls who were kidnapped and forced into conversion. Seems they did so "voluntarily." "Kidnapped Christian girls, judge ratifies marriage and conversion," by Qaiser Felix, for Asian News, July 16:

The district of Muzaffargarh rules in favour of the Muslims, rejecting the request from the family that wants to bring home the two sisters - 13 and 10 years old - kidnapped last June 26. Christian associations charge that they could end up as prostitutes.

How Easy is it to Build a Christian Church in Muslim Countries?

While scanning the news, DBKP came across this July 7th Fox News story:

"Lawsuit Claims Anti-Muslim Bias in Maryland Town Amid Mosque Dust-Up"

Officials of a rural Maryland town illegally discriminated against a Muslim group by barring them from building a mosque and holding annual conventions on land zoned for farming, the property's owner claimed in a federal lawsuit filed Monday.

Basically, the zoning officials did not want a Mosque in open, productive farm land, and no doubt weren't thrilled with the daily amplified caterwauling from the same, 5 times a day. Much less the prospect of the community becoming a host to misogyny, weapons storage, illegal immigration, terrorist literature distribution, and all the other features of Mosque life that make this religion so unique.

But, authorities conceded that if the Mosque wanted to purchase a properly-zoned parcel, nothing would prevent it from being constructed. Of course, this was not good enough.

So in an effort to be fair, DBKP did a survey of how easy it was for Christian churches can be built Islamic countries . A sampling:

EGYPT

Egypt has between 7 and 10 million Christians. It is impossible to get the exact number because it is against the law to compile statistics on Christians. Most Christians are Coptics, the descendants of ancient Egyptians, as opposed to the Arabic majority which were invaders.

State control of church property is governed by the outdated Ottoman Hamayouni Decree of 1856,
amplified by the Interior Ministry in 1934 as the Alazabi Decree. This decree sets out certain restrictive
conditions which must be met before a church can be built. It additionally requires the signature of the
President before construction can commence. No such signature is required in order to build a
mosque.

So in order to buid a Christian church, the President of the country must sign a resolution to that effect.

Needless to say, none are built.

SAUDI ARABIA

America's special 'friend'.

The Kingdom has established more than 1,359 mosques abroad at a cost of SR 820 million. King Fahd also established a number of scholarships and academic chairs in foreign prominent universities and colleges.

Outside the Arab Islamic world there is a number of Islamic research institutes supported by the Kingdom; amongst these are the American University of Colorado, the American University in Washington, the Arab World Institute, Paris, France which receives considerable Saudi contribution to its annual budget, the Duke University, North Carolina, the Howard University, Washington, the Institute of the History of Arab and Islamic Science, Frankfurt, Germany, the John Hopkins University, Maryland, the Middle East Institute, in Washington, the Shaw University, in North Carolina, and the Syracuse University, in New York.

No Christian churches are allowed. The open practice of Christianity is punishable by death.

TURKEY

Prior to 1920, Turkey had well over 2 million Christians. In fact, entire regions--particularly along the Mediterranean coast--were predominantly Christian, as was the northeastern region of Armenia. The Armenians were slaughtered and starved to death.

The Christians in Iona and the Mediterranean regions suffered a slightly different fate. In a replay of the conquest of Constantinople, over three days Ataturk's army and Muslims gang-raped, tortured, and slaughtered hundred of thousands of Christians. They then looted and set fire to Christian communities.

This little-known episode has been covered up by the Western powers for years, because they stood by and refused to rescue a single Christian--although there were battle ships nearby--so close, they could hear the screams of the women.

So, what is the current policy of the EU poster child, vis a vis Christian churches?

Apart from lacking legal recognition, in fact, these minorities are prevented from constructing, and even from restoring, their places of worship, from possessing buildings and land, and from opening schools. Christians are forbidden from taking up some offices and professions, particularly in the military.

AlGERIA

Algeria had up to one million Christians before its independence from France in 1962, but today counts just 11,000, according to the ministry for religious affairs. Most of these are Catholic, although the Protestant Church claims around 50,000 adherents.

Since 2006, Algeria requires every existing church to apply for a permit. So far, 25 churches have been denied the permit and ordered to shut down. No new churches have been permitted.

INDONESIA

The 'moderate' and most populous Muslim country is not getting any more moderate.

On June 14 the Indonesian government disregarded a formal agreement with Protestant leaders by demolishing three churches. The agreement called for the churches to suspend their Sunday religious functions in exchange for not being torn down.

Minority religious communities are finding it more and more difficult to exercise their rights. On something as simple as church construction and repair, changes in 2006 to a ministerial decree of 1969 regulating the building of places of worship has not improved conditions: it is still very difficult to get a permit to build churches, so much so that many religious groups have had to practice their faith illegally.

This in turn has provided Islamic extremists with excuses to carry out violent attacks against home churches.

PAKISTAN

Pakistan is home to some 4.8 million declared Christians and a large number of crypto-Christians, apostates who will be put to death if discovered. Sharia law was established for the entire country in 1998.

Christian are under constant pressure to convert to Islam or die. Gang-rapes of Christian girls are common as is the arrest of all Christians for blasphemy. Young Christian women are sometimes kidnapped and forcibly converted to Islam, married, and then raped in an attempt to stamp out Christianity by Islamic extremist (a practice in Egypt, also).

All Christian services require a permit. Most 'churches' are in fact homes. There is little or no construction of new churches.

IRAN

Iran is considered by many to have the most promise for the spread of Christianity in the Islamic world. The citizenry is disgusted by the rule of The Mad Mullahs.
Iran likely has among the highest drug abuse in the world. The social pathologies of the Mullahs is more than evident to the discouraged citizenry who are among the most educated in the Muslim world--a cultural heritage from it's Persian roots.

Led by ignorant, fanatical, religious bumpkins, many have left Islam and have become secular and crypto-Christian, the latter punishable by death.

The fear of Christianity by the Mullahs is so deep that Iran is now considering establishing the death penalty for apostates throughout the entire world. Needless to say Christian Church construction is not a priority.

Churches and Christian training centers are routinely monitored and there has been widespread closure
of these institutions by the Ministry of Islamic Guidance (MIG), forcing many churches to go underground.
The Armenian and Assyrian churches have been allowed to stay open because their services are
conducted in the Armenian/Assyrian languages and because they have agreed to the government’s
demands forbidding Muslims and Muslim converts from attending the church services and refraining
from evangelism.

Circulation of Christian literature, including scripture in the Persian language, is banned. The office of the
Bible Society together with all Christian bookshops were closed in 1990. Several Christian leaders,
mostly converts from Islamic backgrounds, have been executed or assassinated. The deaths which
occurred in 1994 are particularly renowned and include Rev. Hussein Soodman, Mehdi Dibaj and
Bishop Haik.

No new churches have been constructed in years, although a few which were confiscated by the Government have been repaired for tourists.

There you have it. These countries are the largest in the Muslim world. The remarkable tolerance of Muslims is only matched by their hypocrisy. If any evidence is needed about the cult status of Islam, one need only review the fear Islam has of confronting Christianity.

The notorious moonbat Prince of Wales, Charles, is said to have secretly converted from the Church Of England, to that of the Church of Terrorists. Says who?
"In October 1996, London's Evening Standard newspaper quoted the Grand Mufti of Cyprus, who claimed that the prince had converted to Islam.

"It happened in Turkey. Oh, yes, he converted all right," the Grand Mufti was quoted as saying. "When you get home, check on how often he travels to Turkey. You'll find that your future king is a Muslim."

Charles has, in fact, applied his dubious cogitation to the wonderment of Islam publicly. For instance, when the bizarrely-impenetrable author, Salman Rushdie, was ordered to be killed by the equally impenetrable, but more entertaining, writer and madman, Ayatollah Khomeini, spiritual leader of the Shiia, Charles vigorously responded.

"... Charles reacted to the death decree by reflecting on the positive features that Islam has to offer the spiritually empty lives of his countrymen."

This thoughtful analysis was not a mere one-timer.

In 1997, the year of his supposed secret conversion, which is known throughout the Muslim world, but apparently unshared with the people of the United Kingdom, Charles stated:

"I start from the belief that Islamic civilization at its best... has an important message for the West in the way it has retained an integrated and integral view of the sanctity of the world around us. I feel that we in the West could be helped to rediscover the roots of our own understanding by an appreciation of the Islamic tradition's deep respect for the timeless traditions of the natural order."

Now I confess I have no idea what he is talking about. But it impressed the hell out of the Muslims. My guess is he wants us all to enjoy the fruits of Islamic civilization.



So we can be as cultured as the Palestinians, Egyptians, Sudanese, and Iranians.

Barack Obama: Muslim Call to Prayer "One of the Prettiest Sounds on Earth"

A little something to go with the Clinton-leaked Obama photo to Drudge.

A year ago, Nicholas Kristoff, in the New York Times blogs, wrote, "“In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (it’ll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as ‘one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.’”

Grand Old Partisan states that "Obama recited, "with a first-class [Arabic] accent," the opening lines of this prayer:"

"Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that Muhammad is his prophet... "

We don't know what it all means--if anything.

It just seems to go with the above photo.

FBI agents are arranging extradition for Luster. But the Chapmans could face charges - Mexican law says bounty hunting is kidnapping.


At home in Honolulu, Beth told the Mirror: "I think it's disgraceful for what he did, the deed he did for the US government.

"The Feds are just going to let him rot. Duane talked to them every day during the hunt. Now they say they can't have anything to do with him."

Chapman, a bounty hunter since 1979, is so famous in America that he organises his own speaking tours.

He is known for "Dogisms" such as: "Born on a mountain, raised in a cave. Arresting fugitives is all I crave." Or: "Six men carry you or 12 men can judge you, you decide.

What would Dog do?
Fast forward to November of 2007. Dog the Bounty Hunter is laying low, his show canceled, his fans signing petitions, mailing pineapples to the A&E Network and rallying to get his "Bounty Hunter" TV show back into the line-up.

Just because Dog is temporarily down, doesn't mean that other bounty hunters are not working. And some of them are working for evil ends.

The following story caught our eye for several reasons. Since the "Enquirer tapes" story made headlines, we've heard a lot of comments about "Dog fans": who they are, what they do with their time when they're not watching "Bounty Hunter" or their level of education.

Those comments are generalizations and they are, in many cases, unsympathetic characterizations of Bounty Hunter fans.

This got us thinking: what would they think of the actions of the bounty hunters in this second story. This is about a group of bounty hunters who are not after criminals. Their prey is a young girl whose only crime is that she is running from being raped, beaten and/or other violence.

The story is about the girl running from those bounty hunters. It happened in England. It happens in the United States, but the stories usually get reported in the back of newspapers and don't receive much attention in the popular media.

The story begins: "She has been kidnapped, tortured, shot at, beaten and, at 16, forced into marriage with a stranger twice her age. And for the past five years Sara Ali has been tracked across Britain by an army of bounty hunters... bounty hunters paid for by her own family." --about Sara Ali in The Mirror's "Woman's 'honour crime' hell by Lucy Thornton.

Settle back--the story takes about 10 minutes to read--but is worth the time. Read the rest of this story and ask yourself: What would Dog do?

Now 22, divorced and living near Newcastle with the father of her two-year-old child, Sara is a victim of so-called "honour crime", a never-ending nightmare that began when she was just 11 years old.

"We lived in a really big nine-bedroom Victorian house and it was always mad busy. My dad had two wives, so there were 11 of us.

My mum had married him in Pakistan after he claimed his wife back in the UK was dying. England was this fantasy, a picture-perfect country with money, so her father agreed to the match.

I had a good childhood, I was popular at school and was pretty much allowed to do what I wanted. But it all started to change when I was 11 years old and taken to Pakistan where men kept asking my parents if they could marry me ... Mum and Dad were under a lot of cultural pressure.

I just thought it was all pretend and even when one of my sisters overheard my parents discussing my engagement I just thought this was the sort of thing that happened to big girls, not to me.

Then, when I turned 14 and was back in the UK, there was a phone call from Pakistan asking when I was going over there to be married.

All hell broke loose when I said I wouldn't go. And it was then that the mental and physical torture began.

My father would drop to the floor, clutching his chest saying I was giving him a heart attack. My brothers and sisters told me they would kill themselves because of the shame I was bringing to the family.

I got a really bad beating from my dad. I locked myself in my bedroom but he kicked the door off its hinges and screamed at me, 'I'm going to burn you alive.'

I remember being so scared I lay shivering from fear in my room. In the night I crept downstairs and ran to the local police station.

I was put into foster care but eventually my family got in touch and I ended going back to them because I was just so scared they would kill me if I disobeyed them.

But when I got home, things just got worse. They called me "dirt" and an "outcast". I had to cook my own food in different pots and pans from the rest of the family.

A little while later, when I was 15, they tricked me into travelling to Pakistan by getting my grandma to phone to tell me she was really ill and wanted to see everyone before she died. I was so naive.

We all flew over, but when we arrived they drove straight past my grandma's house. They told me I was being taken to a remote village to be married. I had no passport, no money - and no hope. I was just a child.

The wedding day was held on my 16th birthday to a man who was 40 and looked like my dad with big bushy hair, a big moustache and a pockmarked face.

I begged him to help me, saying I did not want to marry him but he told me: "Why would I say no to a walking visa?"

I knew it was hopeless, but I even told the priest during the ceremony I did not want to marry this old man, but he just carried on.

On the wedding night I had to go to my "husband's" house where he tried to rape me. I was 16, and had never even kissed a boy before. I'd only ever held hands.

He was an animal. He held my arms and pinned me down. He started licking me and bit me like a dog. I kicked and screamed the place down which probably saved me, but still I felt like I wanted to pour bleach all over my body I felt so dirty.

In the end he pulled my trousers down and screamed in my face: "I'm not going to keep you as a wife. I'm going to use you and abuse you because you're just a slag!"

He beat me violently and tried to rape me again but I made so much noise that his family stopped him in case someone outside the house heard. After that I kept a knife hidden under my pillow.

The next month I flew back to England with my family while he waited for his visa to join us. I went back to college for a bit, but I was messed up and started drinking. I tried to kill myself several times and even threw myself into the canal but I was always dragged back home, without any help or sympathy.

Six months after the marriage I was told my husband was coming to England to live with us and I realised I had to escape. That's when I ran away to Wales, and over time met and fell in love with a white boy.

I thought at last that I was safe and that they would never find me. But I was wrong ...

One day about 80 people turned up outside my flat - they were everywhere - blocking the road. Friends, relatives, friends of friends, neighbours of friends of friends.

When I opened the door I was slapped in the face and dragged back to a car by my hair and driven to my parents' house.

When they got me home, my parents told me I had to sleep with my vile husband but I refused. I begged my father to kill me rather than put me through this daily hell. In total I think I ran away about half a dozen times, but they always found me - even in women's refuges.

They paid these strangers to find me, bounty hunters, giving them my picture, my national insurance number and they showed it round, asking for me.

Eventually, I plotted with my boyfriend to run away, but it went wrong as we were spotted by a relative. We were followed by 15 cars and my brother pulled in front, forcing us to emergency stop. He got his arm through the window, flicked the lock and grabbed me by the hair, pulling me onto the road.

The police heard about it and told my family to take me to the police station. Dozens of my relatives waited outside, but the police helped me escape to a refuge.

But again they tracked me down and threatened to kill my sister if I didn't go with them.

They forced me to go Pakistan and kept me with my so-called husband's family in terror for nine months, telling me I was there to make babies.

I had two guards outside my door and was beaten regularly and one time I was kept in hospital with internal bleeding when his brother beat me with a chair.

They would say: "It's not England. If we bury you now, nobody will come looking. They have no authority over here."

I was even shot at because they said I had disrespected their brother, but it missed and went over my shoulder, I'm still deaf in one ear.

I eventually managed to slip out and phone a youth worker in the UK. It was an answer machine and I left a message: "Please get me out of here. They are going to kill me. If you don't hear from me in the next few weeks, assume that I'm dead!"

Afterwards my husband's family found out I had used a phone and threw me into a river, breaking my arm. But the youth worker contacted immigration who arranged for a judge to have me sent back to the UK.

I never went back to my parents and now I have a beautiful family of my own. I was in heaven until a few months ago when, out of the blue and after changing my name by deed poll I received a letter from that man, a petition for a divorce.

I was terrified, he'd simply found me by paying £14.99 to a tracker agency. But if I must, I will simply move again ... people who lose hope, lose everything.'

Think this is a rare case? Ask yourself that same question after reading the following statistics.

Around 5,000 women a year - 13 a day - die worldwide in "honour" crimes, according to the United Nations.

In Britain figures show 13 people die every year in honour killings, but police and support groups believe it is many more.

The Metropolitan Police are investigating 200 deaths they believe are linked to honour killings.

In a BBC poll of 500 young British Asians last year, a shocking 10 per cent believed honour killings were justified.

Around 250 forced marriages are reported to the Home Office Forced Marriage Unit every year, a third of which are children as young as 12 years old.

The suicide rate of Asian women aged 16 to 24 is three times the national average.

Two stories: one short, the other, longer. Would Duane "Dog" Chapman, for all of the things he's been called over the past 4 weeks, have taken the case to find this girl? Undoubtedly, he would have found her by now. He and his crew would have taken her back to the ones who are looking for her--her family.
