AP Notices Obama Refusal to Answer Questions about Blagovich, Rahm Emanuel

Obama, Chicago and Blagojevich:
The Media Asks Questions--After the Election

The AP is Curious About Obama

The AP thinks it's a story when Barack Obama refuses to answer any questions.

That the former junior senator from Illinois didn't have to answer many during the campaign might have something to do with his present stance.

President-elect Barack Obama is refusing to answer any questions about the internal review he has ordered into Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's alleged efforts to sell his former Senate seat, saying he will do so when the examination is finished.

Obama's staff has declined to respond to even basic questions, like who is conducting the probe, how long it will take, what issues are being explored and whether they are working with federal investigators. Obama has promised transparency throughout his service and to divulge contacts his staff has had with Blagojevich's office in the coming days. But his staff has locked down on inquiries in the meantime.

The Obama transition team's refusal to talk has contributed to a maelstrom around Obama's incoming White House chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, a Chicago congressman likely to have been in contact with the governor, who was arrested this week in a corruption scandal. But Emanuel is not a target of the probe, according to people who have been briefed on the investigation.

Barack Obama, international man of mystery lists 51 things that we do know about Obama, including the fascinating facts that the President-elect enjoys Scrabble and poker.

Obama supporters may become confused about the Mainstream Media's new-found curiosity over the president-elect. What's all of the chatter about? Didn't Obama say that he didn't know anything?

That answer seemed to work just fine during the primaries and general election. Why won't that answer satisfy the press now?

Barack Obama and Saul Alinsky: The Godfather of Community Organizers

Saul Alinsky: "Eternal War Must Never End"
Barack Obama And The Alinsky Method: Leftist NewAge Beliefs

The Crack Emcee
The Macho Response

“A light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany, and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote for Barack.”
-- Barack Obama

Saul Alinsky: The Chicago Godfather of Community Organizers

"(Barack) Obama worked in the organizing tradition of Saul Alinsky, who made Chicago the birthplace of modern community organizing...."

-- David Moberg, on "Obama's Community Roots", in The Nation Magazine.

"THERE IS ONLY THE FIGHT --- An analysis of the Alinsky Model."

-- Hillary Clinton, in her BA Honors Thesis, Wellesley College, 1969, from Front Page Magazine.

“Is this manipulation?” asked Alinsky. “Certainly.”

Alinsky stressed the need for organizers to convince their followers that the chasm between the enemy and the members of the People’s Organization was vast and unbridgeable. “Before men can act,” he said, “an issue must be polarized. Men will act when they are convinced their cause is 100 percent on the side of the angels, and that the opposition are 100 percent on the side of the devil.” Alinsky advised this course of action even though he well understood that the organizer “knows that when the time comes for negotiations it is really only a 10 percent difference.” But in Alinsky’s brand of social warfare, the ends (in this case, the transfer of power) justify virtually whatever means are required (in this case, lying).

Winning was all that mattered in Alinsky’s strategic calculus: “The morality of a means depends on whether the means is being employed at a time of imminent defeat or imminent victory.” “The man of action … thinks only of his actual resources and the possibilities of various choices of action,” Alinsky added. “He asks only whether they are achievable and worth the cost; of means, only whether they will work.” For Alinsky, all morality was relative: “The judgment of the ethics of means is dependent on the political position of those sitting in judgment.”

Given that the enemy was to be portrayed as the very personification of evil, against whom any and all methods were fair game, Alinsky taught that an effective organizer should never give the appearance of being fully satisfied as a result of having resolved any particular conflict via compromise. Any compromise with the “devil” is, after all, by definition morally tainted and thus inadequate. Consequently, while the organizer may acknowledge that he is pleased by the compromise as a small step in the right direction, he must make it absolutely clear that there is still a long way to go, and that many grievances still remain unaddressed. The ultimate goal, said Alinsky, is not to arrive at compromise or peaceful coexistence, but rather to “crush the opposition,” bit by bit. “A People’s Organization is dedicated to eternal war,” said Alinsky. “… A war is not an intellectual debate, and in the war against social evils there are no rules of fair play.… When you have war, it means that neither side can agree on anything…. In our war against the social menaces of mankind there can be no compromise. It is life or death.”

Alinsky warned the organizer to be ever on guard against the possibility that the enemy might unexpectedly offer him “a constructive alternative” aimed at resolving the conflict. Said Alinsky, “You cannot risk being trapped by the enemy in his sudden agreement with your demand and saying, ‘You’re right -- we don’t know what to do about this issue. Now you tell us.’” Such capitulation by the enemy would have the effect of diffusing the righteous indignation of the People’s Organization, whose very identity is inextricably woven into the fight for long-denied justice; i.e., whose struggle and identity are synonymous. If the perceived oppressor surrenders or extends a hand of friendship in an effort to end the conflict, the crusade of the People’s Organization is jeopardized. This cannot be permitted. Eternal war, by definition, must never end.

-- John Perazzo, on how the American people are being lied to and manipulated in the name of evil, for Front Page Magazine.

"Barack Obama isn't really one of us. Not in the normal way, anyway.

Dismiss it all you like, but I've heard from far too many enormously smart, wise, spiritually attuned people who've been intuitively blown away by Obama's presence - not speeches, not policies, but sheer presence - to say it's just a clever marketing ploy, a slick gambit carefully orchestrated by hotshot campaign organizers who, once Obama gets into office, will suddenly turn from perky optimists to vile soul-sucking lobbyist whores, with Obama as their suddenly evil, cackling overlord."

Political Patchwork: Obama, Palin and Edwards, Oh My!

Obama's Community
Palin's MSM Fallout
Edwards a Libility

A Community Organized

Sarah Palin doesn't have a lot of use for community organizers. Democrats are aghast, but most of America doesn't have any use for them, either. Chicago has community organizers: how's the Windy City's community organized?

Democrats.org say that community organizers are how ordinary people respond to out-of-touch politicians and their failed policies. Doug Ross responds, "Do tell. For the last 77 years, Democrats have controlled Chicago." Oops!

Chuck Norris calls the Democrat Nominee "Puff, the Magic Obama". Well...Obama did say--in one of his better lines of the campaign--the "idea was to inhale".

Barack Obama, phone home: your city needs you.
In a cbs2chicago.com report published today, Chicago’s CBS affiliate reported some incredible news: the city’s 125 summer murder total nearly doubled the number of soldiers killed in Iraq during the same time period.
One statistic you won't see Harry Reid calling a press conference to announce.

Palineous

JWF says that a renowned community organizer whined like a little bitch today after getting gangster-slapped by the hockey mom" and points out that a certain community looks a bit unorganized. For equal time, we refer the reader to PJ's This is Why.

More equal time: The United Steelworkers' Union admits that Todd Palin is a union brother--and then treats his family like red-headed stepchildren. Shoebox thinks Hell Hath No Fury Like (Bitter) Women Scorned. No, not Sarah Palin, the has-beens at NOW. The Palin Bounce. CBS Poll McCain 42, Obama 42.

Newt Gingerich verbally body-slams an MSNBC reporter
who thinks he's talking to another member of the media instead of the former Speaker.

Speaking of slams, RR calls a certain left-wing nutroots site, "The Daily Kock".

BRINGING THE HATE BOOMERANGS ON MSM: Rasmussen says American, after the MSM `went 24/7 Kill Mode, view Palin more favorably than either McCain or Obama. Bringing the heat means bringing the love, at least in this latest example of the MSM injecting itself into the news instead of just reporting it.

OPRAH says, "no" to Palin; though her staff is split on the issue. This is understandable: Oprah actively campaigned for Barack Obama earlier on.

Only last week, a spokeman said that John Edwards was looking to fill out speaking schedule. So, he followed in the footsteps of his wife and canceled his speaking appearance at Hofstra University. Strange way to expand your appearances.

“Nothing is more important than electing Barack Obama and Joe Biden,” Edwards said in a statement released Thursday by the Harry Walker Agency in Manhattan. “I don’t want my appearance at these events to be a distraction from the important issues of the election, or from the important purpose of these meetings.”

Which prompted Simon at Deceiver to raise the question: Is Edwards admitting that he's a political liability?

Hey, wait a sec… I thought Edwards was a private citizen? I thought this scandal had absolutely nothing to do with Obama? But there it is in black and white gray and slightly lighter gray: Edwards just went out of his way to link himself to Obama. Otherwise, why would appearing in public be a distraction from Obama’s campaign?

More on Edwards later today.

Chicago Smoke Nazis Roll Over Pipe Smokers and Rights

SMOKE NAZIS
On the March in: Chicago

Smoke Nazis in the Chicago area rolled over the right of free association, when they forced attendees to the Chicagoland International Pipe and Tobacciana Show to go outside to smoke.
At the Chicagoland International Pipe & Tobacciana Show in St. Charles, IL, attendees have been told that, due to a statewide smoking ban that went into effect in January, they may not light up even though theirs is a private gathering of only willing participants. This, despite the fact that the conventioneers bent over backwards to try to reach an accommodation.

There was a time--years in the past--when one could volunteer for the American Cancer Society fund raisers without feeling like a fascist. Now, the ACS is one of the leading components of the Nanny State.

Mike Grady, the ACS's Illinois director of public policy, illustrated the Cancer Society's belief that they are on the side of right--and your rights be damned.
"This is the first time we've seen such a blatant attempt . . . to actually undermine the law through legal sophistry. We're very happy with the outcome. This is the perfect example that the law is being enforced."

Some officials are more insufferable than--cancer?

At least in Illinois, the smoking ban was passed by the legislature and signed by the governor. They can be held accountable for their actions in the next election.

In many locales, smoking bans are administered by Health Departments and Health Boards: groups of unelected officials who can write citations, levy fines and, in some cases, order jail time for offenders. In these cases, voters have no recourse.

Fascist Tactics

Writing on a different topic, Doan Boal did a paper that compared the tactics of the Nazis in Germany and the anti-gun movement in America. His paper examined the "comparison of Nazi propaganda techniques and those used by the powerful anti-firearms-ownership movement in America..."

Boal found more than a few similarities in tactics. He might well have been comparing the Smoke Nazis to the original ones.

Among the articles of faith for the Smoke Nazis are:

1- The belief that they are smarter than you.
2- They know what's best for each individual.
3- The free market of ideas and minds is too messy. Better that laws and regulations are passed and the punitive power of the state is applied to unbelievers.
4- They believe in the power of re-education.
5- They are frightened that people may make the wrong decisions if left to their own devices.

These were also some of the tactics used in Germany in the 1930s.

Anti-smoking officials and agents are part of the larger Politically Correct crowd: both are concerned with regulating behavior and thought.

People standing on the sideline lose whenever they allow the Smoke and Health Nazis to take away their neighbors' freedoms. They lose because their freedoms will likely be next.

Count on it. Ask yourself three simple question:

1 "If every last smoker in the USA quit today and never smoked again, would all of the overzealous public health officials harassing smokers, suddenly find meaning to their lives?"

2 "Or would they find another behavior to demonize, repress and regulate?"

3 "What are the next personal activities to be targeted by the Smoke/Health Nazis?"

Smoking, by some estimates, kills 434,000 people a year in the USA.

To paraphrase Emiliano Zapata, "I'd rather die--smoking, wheezing, coughing--on my feet than live on my knees."

Smoke Nazis are all about control.

If you're in doubt about the validity of the above statement, ask the convention goers at the Chicagoland International Pipe and Tobacciana Show.

Chicago Suburb Police Warn of Death Threat Spam

And the "Botnets" who control the world's spam...

Police in the northwestern suburb of Chicago in Arlington Heights are warning residents of a new kind of spam on the internet, death threats via email.

The spam emails demand money, sums of either $15,000 or $20,000, or the recipients will face death.

According to the police, if the recipient responds to the email the sender would be able to acquire the IP protocol address which would "jeopardize" the spam victim's banking and credit info.

Investigator Chuck Buczynski said there was no need for concern, that the email was "spam" and to not open it.

Spam is known as junk mail sent to people's email addresses on the web. According to the New Zealand Herald, 85% of the world's spam is controlled by a groups of botnets:

Marshal's TRACE team, which monitors spam, phishing and virus activity around the world, has identified the six botnets that it says are sending the bulk of spam.

Botnets are virtual networks of private computers that are secretly controlled and used to distribute malware or viruses to other machines. Owners of such infected machines are almost never aware their computers are being used maliciously. One botnetwork, known as Mega-D, is alleged to have 35,000 machines under its control.

A recent spate of emails pretending to be from the Department of Justice have resurfaced from last summer:
The latest batch contains an image from the DoJ website, which contributes to its apparent legitimacy, Masiello said. The spoofed emails also contain a keylogger that once downloaded onto a recipient's computer, collects personal information, such as the user's bank account numbers and passwords.

Similar-style attacks should continue as tax rebate checks begin arriving, Masiello said. "As the tax rebates begin arriving in the May/June timeframe, we'll likely see additional spoofs apparently from the government." Source - SC Magazine

Arlington Heights is an affluent village which lies 25 miles northwest of downtown Chicago with a population close to 180,000 residents. To date only 3 recipients have reported receiving the extortionist spam.

Dog the Bounty Hunter: Buck Naked Bounty Hunter

Naked--but wet--in Honolulu

Tim Chapman Buck Naked troubles: innocent changing of juiced clothing, or lewd act?

You decide.
Tim, a sidekick of TV bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman, turned himself in to authorities Friday after a shopping center security guard reported seeing him naked in his pickup truck, performing a lewd act, police said.

But Tim Chapman's lawyer insists his client spilled juice on himself and was just changing clothes Thursday night.

Tim Chapman and the security guard obviously didn't see eye-to-eye about the event.

In fact, Chapman, according to the guard, tried to get "up close and personal" with him--with his truck.
The guard told Chapman to put on his clothes and get out of the truck, police said. After dressing, Chapman started his truck and drove over a sidewalk, nearly hitting the guard, then drove off, police said.

Fame has its benefits.

And its drawbacks.

The guard told police that "he recognized Chapman from Duane Chapman's show "Dog the Bounty Hunter" and that he was performing an unspecified lewd act."

The story goes on to state that Duane Chapman and Tim Chapman are not related.

That was buried in the sixth or seventh paragraph.

Three Male Chapmans--all fully clothed--with Beth

Tim Chapman's attorney, Brook Hart, came to the rescue--as attorneys are wont to do--and said it was all a misunderstanding.
"It was simply a man who wet his pants with orange juice inadvertently and was changing them, doing nothing wrong at all and believing he had sufficient privacy to do it," Hart said.

Police said they were still investigating the matter. There's no word on whether they plan to charge Chapman, 42.

Several questions leaped to mind after reading this.

Was Tim Chapman alone?

What was the lewd act?

Does it matter if you're in the privacy of your own pick-up truck?

What attracted the security guard's attention?

Meanwhile, life goes on for the millions of "Dog the Bounty Hunter" fans who face another day without their favorite show.

As one person put it, "Maybe the security guard will investigate that one".

Don't hold your breath.

Da Kine, in da Sunshine

We realize that Tim Chapman is accused of almost running over someone.

But it was only a security guard, after all.

UPDATE: 8 am - Attempted Murder?

From Private Officer:
One of the stars of the reality TV show “Dog the Bounty Hunter” was arrested today on suspicion of attempted murder and indecent exposure.

and also:
Police checked Tim Chapman’s Hawaii Kai home, but were told he’s separated from his wife and has been living out of his truck. Then around 2:30 this afternoon, Tim Chapman turned himself in to Honolulu police.Chapman’s attorney Brook Hart says it’s all a misunderstanding. “Tim Chapman was driving in the Ala Moana, Kapioplani Blvd. area when he inadvertently spilled some orange juice, orange drink or liquid in his lap, and he got all wet so looked for a place for some privacy,” said Brook Hart, Tim Chapman’s attorney.Hart says Tim Chapman was not performing lewd acts.”He was merely changing from one pants to another when a security guard came and yelled at him to get out of his car. Tim panicked and drove over the curb and left the area,” said Hart.Tim Chapman was booked on suspicion of indecent exposure, and attempted murder for nearly running over the security guard. Although, police say he may be charged with terroristic threatening instead. Tim Chapman remains at the Honolulu Police Department’s main cell block tonight, pending charges.

Nothing at this time on the attempted murder charge anywhere else but this one source.

JFK Assassination Plot in Chicago Revealed

Forty-four years after it happened, details continue to come to light about the assassination and the presidency of John F. Kennedy.

World Net Daily has a story of more intrigue: an attempted whistle-blower in the form of a secret service agent; the agent's imprisonment; the recanting of the testimony of a key witness against the agent; and, the story of another November plot to assassinate JFK.

From JFK assassination plot uncovered in Chicago?:

Ex-Secret Service agent reveals tip caused president to change travel plans 3 weeks before Dallas shooting

Former agent Abraham Bolden, 72, told Chicago ABC affiliate, WLS-TV, Kennedy was waved off from a much-publicized visit to Chicago on Nov. 2, 1963, to attend the Army-Air Force football game at Soldier Field and ride in a parade after the Secret Service received a report from a motel manager who told of seeing several automatic weapons with telescopic sights on the bed of a room rented to several Cuban nationals. They had an outline of the route Kennedy was to follow from O'Hare airport that would take his motorcade past the motel. The route had been printed in Chicago newspapers.

Bolden, a former Illinois state trooper, was the first black agent to protect a president.

The Secret Service was already uneasy about the presidential visit because an outspoken critic of the president, Thomas Vallee, had arranged to take off work for Kennedy's visit. Vallee was arrested before the planned visit with an M1 rifle, a handgun and 3,000 rounds of ammunition in his possession.

News of the Cuban nationals triggered an investigation but, Bolden charges, the surveillance was mishandled and the Cuban suspects disappeared and were never identified.

"No one was sent to the room to fingerprint it or get an ID. The case was lost and that was the end of it," he said.
More food for thought for both those interested in full disclosure of the JFK story's details and JFK conspiracy theorists.
The day of the planned flight from Washington, D.C., with a suspected Cuban hit team somewhere in Chicago, the Secret Service urged a change of plans.

"The morning of the game, the special agent in charge of the Chicago office called the White House and recommended the president cancel his trip to Chicago," Bolden said.

News reports at the time blamed the change in plans on illness and a diplomatic crisis. South Vietnamese President Ngo Dinh Diem was assassinated in Saigon on that same day.

But Bolden told WLS-TV neither illness nor crisis were the reason plans were changed – JFK stayed away from Chicago because of the suspected assassination plot.
Bolden tried to come forward at the time, but his story about the assassination attempt and the bungling by officials was overshadowed by another story: that of a secret service agent arrest for bribery.

It was hard for Bolden to make much noise from a prison cell.
Following Kennedy's murder in Dallas three weeks later, Bolden said he tried to inform the Warren Commission of the Chicago plot and misconduct by Secret Service agents, including on-duty drunkenness, but his efforts were thwarted when he was arrested, prosecuted and sentenced to prison for soliciting a bribe from a counterfeiter.

Bolden, who served six years, claims he was set up to silence his criticism of agents' behavior and is hoping to clear his name after the main witness against him recanted his testimony.
This story is an illustration of the times: with so many sources of media available to people--the Internet and blogosphereare bit two--it's hard to imagine the story staying out of the public eye today.

The same media voices who chastise the blogosphere as some sort of irresponsible "Wild West" environment are the same ones who left this story unreported for years.
There's a difference between the media of 1963 and the media of 2007.

It's the difference between having 5 or 6 points of view and having a choice of thousands.

Given his choice between the sanctimonious gatekeepers of Traditional Media and today's Internet news resources, Abraham Bolden would probably cast his vote for the "Wild West".

by Mondoreb & Little Baby Ginn

Holy Ramadan, Mumita!

All the coolest super-heros have their own movies nowadays:Superman, Spiderman, Fantastic Four, Batman, Daredevil, the Hulk and--Mumita? First there was our DBKP's own INFIDEL WARRIOR BABES. Now they get some company in the girl superhero comics department.

SUSAN HOGAN/ALBACH at the Chicago Sun-Times:
Batman has brains, Superman has brawn, but Mumita has a great kick.

She's part of the superhero cast of "The 99," an Islamic-themed comic book that debuts in select U.S. cities today, including Chicago.

"Every child is looking for a superhero," said Firas Ahmad, an editor at Islamica magazine. "When I grew up, the people from my cultural background were always the bad guys in comics."

Already a hit overseas, "The 99" features superheroes from around the globe using their superpowers to battle forces of evil.
Will Mumita go on a jihad? How would a go-round with the Infidel Warrior Babes turn out? What's her secret identity?
