British Dogging It: UK Gay Sex OK in Public

Dogging It in Britain:
Political Correctness Turns Creepy

Don't Want to Watch Gay Sex?
"Take Another Path"

It was only a matter of time before tolerance turned to privilege among the politically acceptable victim groups. So the following story in The daily Mail hardly surprises us:

Mother and teenage daughter who stumbled on open air gay sex told to 'use a different path' by police
A mother shocked by seeing two half-naked men having sex while out walking the dogs with her daughter was told by police to take a different route in future.

Marie Cragg, 44, spoke of her disgust at the officers' reaction and said she feared the woodland beauty spot would be turned into a no-go area for ordinary members of the public.

The men seen by Miss Cragg and her 18-year-old daughter Jessica were stripped from the waist down and carried on with their activities even after they knew they had been spotted.

Why would this poor woman and her daughter expect anything different? The whole world has watched as Britain and Canada have descended into some sort of madness. Surely this woman whole-heartedly voted for the politicians who have adopted this insanity as if it were a sign of even handed social policy.

But it is not. Because the same privilege, of open air sex, sodomy, or fellatio are not accorded heterosexuals.

Couple arrested for 'having sex' on crowded train

A couple have been arrested for allegedly having sex in a crowded train carriage.

Other passengers en route from Liverpool to London appear to have sat in embarrassed silence as the 41-year-old woman allegedly committed a sex act on her male partner.

The pair were arrested by police on arrival at Euston station. Officers are believed to have been called after a guard on the Virgin intercity train spotted the couple on CCTV.

And well they should have been arrested. But what about the creeps on the trail?

"You should not have to see that, should you? They can go into the woods and go wherever they want - it's sick.

'They saw me and didn't care and just carried on. I could have been a childminder with kids. I would rather go past a gang of hoodies - they are making the place seedy.'

The encounter happened on a public footpath where Miss Cragg was walking the family dogs, Molly and Ruby, near their home in Penwortham, near Preston, last week.

It follows a briefing last month by the deputy chief constable of Lancashire, Mike Cunningham, in which he called for police to turn a blind eye to outdoor sexual activity.

Under the Sexual Offences Act anyone who takes part in 'dogging', where couples meet for sex in car parks, and cottaging, where men meet for sex in public lavatories, face arrest for outraging public decency, voyeurism and exposure.

But Mr Cunningham, who is also a spokesman on homosexual issues for the Association of Chief Police Officers, argues that offenders should only be prosecuted as a last resort because of the potential impact on their lives of making their activities public."

So there you have it, how special.

What could go wrong?

What's Your Carbon Footprint?
Who Cares?

As the presidential election heats up, Obama maintains a 5 point lead against McCain. This, despite new revelations about improper foreign money flowing into the Obama campaign.

The drive-by media is doing its part to foster Obamania, and so is Paris, where Obama fashions were featured on the catwalks.

A new Obama video is making the rounds. It features young children in lockstep, singing the praise of Dear Obama. When comparisons were made to North Korea and Hitler's Germany, YouTube yanked the video. Now comes another chilling Obama 'Youth Video', this time with teens in uniforms, marching and proclaiming that "because of Obama" they will achieve various accomplishments.

You Tube also yanked a video which outlined in very simple terms the fact that the Democrats are largely responsible for the financial crisis which dominated the headlines last week. More info in this week's article, 'Dangerous Videos'.

GOOD NEWS:

It did this conservative's heart good to see Barney Frank get a good spanking when he appeared on the O'Reilly Factor. That was the first time he has been held to account. Hopefully, not the last.

The GOP is finally taking off the gloves, as evidenced by their new commercial wherein they target Dems for obstructing reforms that could have prevented last week's financial meltdown.

It appears most Americans aren't being taken in by cheap soundbites and soaring rhetoric. 74% of American adults have no confidence that our nation's policy makers know what they're doing.

A new survey shows that 59% of voters agree with Reagan's statement, "Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem." And Rasmussen reports that if they could vote to keep or replace the entire Congress, 59% of voters would like to throw them all out and start over again.

On the immigration front, more than 1,000 illegals who ignored deportation orders or returned to the US after being deported were arrested in a California immigration sweep.

Arrests of illegals along the border fell for the second year in a row. And money sent back to Mexico from Mexicans living in the US dropped by 12%, the largest drop on record since the Bank of Mexico began tracking.

Meanwhile, in Iraq, U.S. forces said they shot dead the leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq. Progress continues, even if not reported by the old media.

CULTURE:

A US space company has become the first private venture to successfully blast a rocket into earth's orbit. No government money was needed.

New software for mobile phones can now estimate a person's carbon footprint

The Citizen and Immigration Service has re-designed the citizenship test for immigrants who want to become Americans. Can you pass it without cheating? Apparently cheating has become so commonplace that kids now post proven cheating methods on YouTube.

The top member of the Nobel Award jury believes the US is too insular and ignorant to compete with Europe when it comes to writing. This, from the jury that awarded algore a Nobel peace prize. I'm smiling.

Speaking of great writing, the front page of Amazon.com shows that conservative books are outselling liberal books by a wide margin. No wonder liberals don't like free markets.

Across the pond, another effort by the government to socially engineer behavior took effect Wednesday. Smokers in the UK will now be confronted with gruesome images whenever they buy a pack of cigarettes.

The UK is experiencing white flight as 75,000 white British men and women are leaving the country every year. Britain's population is still rising, however, because of an influx of ethnic minorities. Has England been conquered from within?

GENDER AND FAMILY:

A judge has ruled in favor of a woman who sought parental rights to a boy and girl adopted by her former same-sex partner, a decision described as a first for Montana.

A new estimate by the CDC places the number of Americans infected with the AIDS virus at 1.1 million. US immigration officials announced moves to ease and speed up visa-processing for HIV-positive visitors to the US.
They held the world's biggest celebration of leather, bondage and sexual fetish in San Francisco last Sunday.

The culture wars may appear to have been lost but at least conservatives had one small victory. The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled that sex with dead bodies is banned. It was a 5 - 2 decision. Sigh.

Oh, and in Iowa, the state's attorney general asked the Iowa Supreme Court to review a judge's ruling that nude dancing is a legal art form.

ESSENTIAL TRIVIA:

In the frenzy to come up with something new and different one designer has created a line of jewellery which is intended to be worn on the eye.

Faith in God can really relieve pain, according to the results of a bizarre scientific experiment. And Manuel Aribe, the world's fattest man in the 2007 Guiness Book of Records, said that he is getting married next month, after losing half of his original weight. Whoa..

IDIOT OF THE WEEK:

We have a clear winner in this week's awards. By far, the biggest idiot of the week has to be:

Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney, who was caught on video accusing the U.S. Department of Defense of executing 5,000 prisoners Chinese-style and dumping their bodies in a Louisiana swamp. Maybe she's just off her meds.

Due to the proliferation of idiots and idiocy, RightBias now publishes the Top Idiots Of The Week Awards. For this week's idiot awards, click here.

Till next Monday, keep smiling,

Garbage in the UK: Politicians Torture Brits Over Garbage

Your Ad Here

Britain In The Bin
Garbage Nannies Take Over

The Nannies of Britain are never short of ideas to torture the public.

No matter how small the stature of office, politicians and their minions in the United Kingdom share a uniform desire to prove that each of them is the most trite, meddling imbecile in the land. Apparently the prestige of this distinction outweighs all else, because British politicians and public servants--if they be such--seem to conduct themselves with absolutely no discernment whatsoever.

Discernment being a trait only made worse by their bovine determination.

Cases in point.

'Thieves' stealing wheelie bins from backgardens turn out to be COUNCIL snoops searching for illegal dustbins

"When wheelie bins began to go missing from outside their homes, residents wondered whether they should call the police.

But when the thieves were unmasked, their identities proved to be something a shock.

The two men responsible were council officers assigned to secretly snoop in back gardens.

They were employed to find out which residents were using extra 'unauthorised' wheelie bins to dispose of their rubbish – and took those bins away if they considered them to be unlawful....The warden, working for Blackburn with Darwen Council in Lancashire, even used ladders to peer over garden walls on to lawns and back yards while the occupants were out. If they saw any homes with two bins for non-recyclable waste they took one away without informing the resident."

In that instant the garbage police were caught with the goods by an alert homeowner. But the story goes on to point out:

"The move is the latest draconian rubbish collection measure.

Earlier this year the Daily Mail revealed that Tory-run Plymouth Council wants families to name somebody to be in charge of their rubbish. That individual would then face £100 fines and a criminal record if rubbish goes in the wrong wheelie bins, or the bins are put out too soon or in the wrong place."

Volunteers?

If so inclined to be garbage warden for your household, read on.

Father of four taken to court and fined ... because he overfilled his wheelie-bin by just four inches

With his rubbish collected only once a fortnight, Gareth Corkhill's wheelie bin was so full the lid wouldn't shut.

And for that, the father of four finds himself with a criminal record.

Magistrates convicted the 26-year-old bus driver after hearing evidence that the lid was four inches ajar, which is against rules to stop bins overflowing.

ABOVE:
Four inches too far: Gareth Corkhill with wife Claire and son Josh

"He was ordered to pay £210 - a week's wages - after he declined to pay an on-the-spot fine imposed by the local council's bin police, who visited him wearing stab-proof vests and carrying photographic evidence of his crime."

Hmmm.

$100 per inch. And the Council thoughtfully collects only once every 20 days. Seems fair...... to the lunatics that run the asylum once known as Great Britain.

But rampant garbage crime is a unisex offense.

Mother fined £400 for leaving wheelie bin in wrong place

A young mother has been ordered to pay nearly £400 for leaving her wheelie bin in the wrong place.Holly Dutton, 26, failed to pay a £100 fixed penalty notice issued when she left the bin in an alley behind her house in Horwich, near Bolton.

Magistrates have increased the fine to £130 and added £215 in costs, plus a £15 surcharge towards a fund for victims of crime."

Not much sympathy from the man in the silly wig, there.

BTW, the fine for shoplifting in Britain is 80 Pounds.

But Big Brother does not stop at merely a searching a homeowner's backyard or tape measuring the gap of a bin cover ( instead of merely closing the same). No, these
dimwitted demagogues have gone high tech to entrap rubbish scofflaws.

Residents revolt against wheelie-bin spies

A huge revolt against wheelie-bin spy bugs is sweeping Britain, with thousands of defiant households removing the electronic devices and either dumping them or posting them back to their local town hall. The protesters are ignoring threats of prosecution for criminal damage in their anger at having their rubbish secretly monitored by council chiefs.

One of the biggest shows of defiance has been in Bournemouth, where councillors estimate that 25,000 bugs - one-third of the total - have been unscrewed.

Astonishingly, Bournemouth Council is considering replacing all the 'vandalised' bins at a cost of up to £600,000.The bugs, whose existence was revealed by The Mail on Sunday two weeks ago, are about the size of a 1p piece.

They contain a microchip that enables councils to record the weight of rubbish collected - and to impose fines if the Government brings in laws to punish people who don't recycle enough."

ABOVE: British Pitchforks carefully locked away from the hand of peasants.

The politicians of this nation of beaten sheep were not intimidated.

"But Kennet Council leader Chris Humphries said: "These bins belong to the council. They don't belong to the people who hold them. They are interfering with a bin that belongs to somebody else."

A council spokesman added: "Residents are not authorised to remove these numeric chips. The question as to whether the chips' removal constitutes criminal damage is a detailed legal issue."

One is left in wonderment of the sheer hopelessness of the situation. The citizens of this shipwreck of a country actually vote for these imbeciles.

Why? Because they have been led to believe that only the State can make decisions. Individual responsibility, the thought that welfare may not be available has become a fear greater than life itself.

Now dustmen won't take your rubbish away if wheelie bin is too heavy to pull with two fingers

"Binmen have put two fingers up to common sense by issuing an astonishing warning to council-tax payers.'If we can't pull your wheelie bin using just two fingers it is too heavy - and won't be emptied.'Bins that need three or more fingers, they claim, constitute a health and safety risk as they could fall from the lorry while being emptied."

The edict from binmen is the latest salvo in a continuing battle between householders and bureaucracy. It comes only days after the Daily Mail reported how widowed pensioner June Kay, 79, had been told to drag a 360-litre wheelie bin more than half a mile down a steep hill if she wanted it emptied. The two-finger policy was discovered by Katie Shergold in the historic market town of Warminster, Wiltshire.

ABOVE: Shergold couldn't believe it when she heard the barmy rule.

She watched in disbelief as binmen stuck a 'too heavy to move' sticker on her bin of grass cuttings, just 6ft from their lorry. Yet 5ft 4in Mrs Shergold, 26, had wheeled the bin round to the front of her house without any difficulty."

When a country is in the throes of cultural collapse, apparently small things give comfort. Like bedeviling your fellow citizens and celebrating insignificant bureaucratic accomplishment

Google has over 150,000 articles on Britain's efforts to stem the flow of garbage. The Daily Mail has over a hundred stories of the abuse perpetrated in this war. No doubt these fools have convinced themselves they are saving the planet from Global Warming or similar nonsense. The planet would be far better if the Brits shit-canned these politicians instead.

Kill the rot before it spreads.

PC in Britain: Police Often Take the Side of Lawbreakers

DBKP UK PC Roundup

Britain As Hell

Time once again for the DBKP United Kingdom weekly round up, where we explore the zany world of Political Correctness as a way of life.

The British started the week with the Police intimidating another elderly victim. it seems hardly a day can go by without the coppers deciding that criminals are far too dangerous for them, but slapping down the law abiding--and basically defenseless geriatrics--is just too much fun to pass on.

Grandmother arrested on race charges after telling rowdy Asian students to 'go home'

Now I know what you are thinking. Blurting out "Go home!" to a bunch of drunken Muslim thugs (The Koran apparently has multiple interpretations regarding drinking, but only Muslims are allowed to know what, when and how they apply) is criminally racist speech.

Or so the Police thought. The Crime:

After being woken for the third time in one night by a group of drunken and noisy students, Jo Calvert-Mindell was at her wits' end.

The former policewoman got dressed, went outside and shouted at them: 'Why can't you go back to where you come from and make some noise there? I bet your families and neighbours wouldn't put up with it.

She also reported the incident to police, who came and dispersed the eight students.

The 51-year-old grandmother was astonished when four months later she was arrested and accused of being a racist. It turned out that two Asians in the group had complained to the police

In April, Miss Calvert-Mindell, who has never been in trouble with the police before, was charged with using racially aggravated threatening words or behaviour under section 5 of the Public Order Act.

That is right. She wasn't telling them to go back to Pakistan. Just to go home.

But because they were Muslims ("Asian" in Brit PoliCeSpeak), she faced charges. It is important for all to know that freedom of speech is non-existent in Britain, and free thought is is disappearing, as well.

Speaking of Muslims:
Police told to warn criminals before setting canines on them - in case they are FRIGHTENED or ALLERGIC to dog hair

First, a little primer on British PoliCeSpeak. When the Brits talk about Muslims, the only time the word is used is in a positive reference. When it comes to the day-to-day anti-social, Sudden Muslim Grievance Syndrome, terrorism , misogyny, and intolerance that makes this 'religion' such a barrel of laughs, the Brits seem unable to utter the word "Muslim".

From the story:

Being chased by a police dog was never intended to be a pleasant experience. But now handlers are being extra careful to avoid upsetting criminals' sensibilities by giving them advance warning before dogs are set on them. Forces across Britain are being instructed to 'avoid offending' sufferers of cynophobia - the clinical name for a fear of canines - or those allergic to dog hair. The move comes amid fears that suspects whose medical conditions are triggered by dogs may file costly compensation bills against the force which authorised their use during arrests or raids on homes.

So how do we know this is about Muslims, and not the ordinary drug runner or crazy murderer on the run?

Because on July 6, 2008 the British police announced that police dogs would wear shoes when entering Muslim homes.

From Times On Line:

Police sniffer dogs will have to wear bootees when searching the homes of Muslims so as not to cause offence. Where Muslims object, officers will be obliged to use sniffer dogs only in exceptional cases. Where dogs are used, they will have to wear bootees with rubber soles. “We are trying to ensure that police forces are aware of sensitivities that people can have with the dogs to make sure they are not going against any religious or cultural element within people’s homes. It is being addressed and forces are working towards doing it,” Acpo said

But that bit of ass kissing was not good enough. So this week the Brits stooped lower.

Photographing thugs 'is assault', police tell householder snapping proof of anti-social behaviour

A householder who took photographs of hooded teenagers as evidence of their anti-social behaviour says he was told he was breaking the law after they called the police. David Green, 64, and his neighbours had been plagued by the youths from a nearby comprehensive school for months, and was advised by their headmaster to identify them so action could be taken. The youths were aged around 17; he said one threatened to kill him while another called the police on his mobile. And he claimed that a Police Community Support Officer sent to the scene promptly issued a warning that taking pictures of youths without permission was illegal, and could lead to a charge of assault.

Typical yobs

One of Mr Green's pictures shows two hooded teenagers, one making an obscene gesture towards the camera.

What about the thugs that were terrorizing and vandalizing the neighborhood? Don't ask. You could be arrested for anti-social thought. And the story helpfully points out that Mr Green's excessive use of the camera is not an isolated incident.

Last week, the Daily Mail reported that a father was told by a play equipment supervisor he was not allowed to take pictures of his own children on a slide.

British Police are sometimes willing to give a hand.

Police 'put half-naked rape victim in minicab and made her pay fare home'

Police allegedly marched a rape victim who had been found crying in the street at 1am to a cab firm, and then made her pay the fare home....instead of driving her to a hospital or a police station, the officers took her to a taxi firm close to Southwark Tube station. After it was found no one could collect her, the taxi firm agreed to take her home. The woman reported the incident, which took place on 4 July, the next day but investigators fear important forensic evidence may have been lost. A senior source said: 'It should have been clear that she may have been sexually assaulted. To top it off, they put her in a cab with another strange man.' Police think the woman may have been raped by an unlicensed taxi driver who dumped her in the street.

That story needs no comment.

It says everything one need know about British Police.

Not So Great Britain: Mastering the Broom and Binge Drinkers

The Weekly United Kingdom Insanity Report
The Nanny State: Off The Tracks
pat

Time again for DBKP's weekly review of the Not So Great Britain, the poster child for the endgame of Political Correctness. The United Kingdom demonstrates with clarity what happens when wishful thinking becomes a cornerstone of government.

Tens of thousands of years of common sense--mixed in with 300 years of civil authority and enlightened humanitarian philosophy--disappear without a trace when the left pushes forward a political agenda concocted in the minds of silly, delusional academics and politicians who view society as the enemy.

First, the whimsical safety concerns of the Nanny State.

Ridiculous' health and safety rules tell carpenters to ban the broom

Yep. The broom is a bit too dangerous for the workplace. The proper use of the broom seems to be something the modern construction worker may not be able to master, at least in Britain.

According to The Telegraph:
Carpenters and woodworkers have been told not to use brooms to sweep up sawdust because they are considered dangerous under "ridiculous" new health and safety guidelines.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) claims that sweeping up wood chippings in dusty workplaces can provoke asthma attacks and long term exposure lead to nose cancer.

Instead they are advising carpentry firms to buy state-of-the-art vacuum cleaners and air purification systems which can cost thousands of pounds.

So, not even the ShopVac will do.

No sir. The government needs the workplace to have a vacuum cleaner with an air purification system. Of course, it is not the government's money, so who cares?

The carpenters, it seems.

The boss of a joinery firm in Tayside, Scotland - who wishes to remain anonymous for fear of more health and safety checks - said: "I've been using a broom since Jesus's old man was a carpenter.

"This advice it totally off the wall. Industrial vacuum cleaners are expensive and they aren't nearly as good as an apprentice armed with a stiff-bristled brush."

Anonymous is a famous commentator in Britain

Unlike here in the American press, Mr and Mrs Anonymous actually exist in Britain. They are a terrified couple, scared of many things, but foremost of all, their own government.

Taking up his side of things, we reviewed Mr Anonymous' argument. Let us start with the nose cancer scare. Fortunately, nose cancer is extraordinarily rare. And fortunately--and overwhelmingly--nose cancer is associated with smoking.

So, unless one needs to smoke while sweeping, the chance that sweeping will cause nose cancer is remote. Note to regulators: need workplace sign.

No Smoking While Sweeping Wood Shavings

There are rare and unspecified associations with some metals and chemicals--none of which are common--in wood, even treated wood. As for asthma, that is more problematic. Each individual has a unique asthmatic allergenic trigger. If wood dust, even if that of a particular species of tree, sets off the same, then carpentry is the wrong trade.

Sorry.

Get out now. Because the fancy vacuum cleaner ain't going to make a whit of difference.

It may kill you.

The latter because these vacuum cleaners require emptying and cleaning. And the HEPA [high-efficiency particulate air] filters, the secondary filters and the tank expose the operator to incredible amounts of allergens--far more than the wood shavings that so scare the British authorities.

Which is why many households with asthmatics leave the vacuuming to more allergen-tolerant household members.

It is a shame that this attention to safety and health was not in play in 2005. That is when the boneheads that run Britain basically deregulated drinking. This again is one of those academic exercises that has crashed into the wall of reality.

We here at DBKP are a libertarian crew, but commonsense has a place in life.

But not in the United Kingdom.

Dead at 24: The tragic story of how a young girl's life was wrecked by cheap alcohol

Lying in a hospital bed, 24-year-old Stacey Rhymes cuddles a childhood toy before putting out an arm to her mother.

'Hold my hand, Mum,' she whispers, then slips into a coma. A few hours later, on a spring afternoon earlier this year, the girl with a whole life ahead of her was dead.

The once radiantly pretty Stacey had drunk herself to death on cut-price bottles of wine bought from corner shops, supermarkets and local pubs. She had started drinking at 17 and seven years later her body simply gave up under the constant assault from alcohol.

Losing control: Stacey's alcohol-related illness takes its hold

Her mother, Louise, says: 'I now want the world to know exactly what happened to Stacey and why. It was a terrible way to go.

'Her stomach was like a balloon, as if she was nine months pregnant. Her long hair was falling out, her urine was coloured black and she could not eat. She was scared to look in the mirror because her eyes were canary yellow. The only way to stop the pain at the end was morphine.'

The story of Stacey Rhymes is a salutary one: she is one of the youngest people in modern Britain to die of alcohol abuse. And her mother, speaking for the first time, is determined that the loss of her daughter will not be in vain.

This is insanity.

Drinking is now allowed 24 hours-a-day throughout the country. The streets are crawling with drunks. The social stigma of being publicly drunk has been replaced with a alcoholic bravado. And the Brits are killing the youth of the nation--not to mention productivity and civility

Since the relaxation of licensing laws in November 2005 - which allowed round-the-clock sales of drink in pubs, clubs, shops and supermarkets - the cost to the nation both socially and financially has been huge. Coupled with low prices for alcohol, there is now an orgy of drunkenness that rivals the gin epidemic of early Victorian times..The facts are stark. The numbers dying from alcohol-related health problems is rising. In 1999, there were 4,000 deaths. Today, the figure has doubled, with the age of the victims going down, too. Hospitals admit for emergency treatment more than 9,000 drunken teenagers every year.....Cases of liver cirrhosis in 20 to 30-year-olds - who often started drinking as children - have doubled in less than a decade.

Many Europeans and Asians consider America's take on alcohol quaint. In most cities in the USA, bottle liquor sales must stop between 10:00PM and midnight. Bars must close by 2:00 AM. Dance clubs and private clubs by 4:00 AM.

Many states only allow the sale of alcohol through state-controlled stores. Some prohibit open bars and the sale of alcohol on certain days. Some towns are dry, requiring a drive to get booze. The drinking age is a uniform 21 and underage drinking is severely punished, usually with the inability of the malefactor to get a driver's license. Most States consider the provision of alcohol to one's own child a serious offense.

These quaint laws serve a purpose: they emphasize that drinking is a State concern, as is public drunkenness. They also provide a cooling-off period. Someone on a binge, will most certainly lose the ability to get more booze. These regulated hours provide a sleep period--a time out, if you will--both for the tippler and society: a time when many will sober up, when many will lose the gang mentality of drinking as they go to different addresses to sleep the booze off.

We remember when the pubs of Scotland closed at 10:00PM and those of England at 11:00PM. Something poor Stacey needed badly.

Yet this is not the only catastrophic side-effect [of open drinking hours]. The Cabinet Office admits the real cost of drinking is £20billion a year if you include suicides, alcohol-fuelled crime, anti-social behaviour, depressive illness, family breakdown and domestic violence. Only this month, the Local Government Association - representing councils - warned the 24-hour drinking plan to emulate a European style cafe-culture in Britain had failed miserably.

Stacey's mother is devastated. She has established an Internet site at Facebook as a warning to young drinkers. But it is Britain that needs the lesson: a lesson in what is important and what is just plain stupid.

American Justice Tomorrow Seen Today in Britain

'Speak when you're spoken to!' The Queen sharply interrupted her.

'But if everybody obeyed that rule,' said Alice, who was always ready for a little argument, 'and if you only spoke when you were spoken to, and the other person always waited for you to begin, you see nobody would ever say anything, so that -- '

--Lewis Carroll

British Justice. Broken

Ever wonder where the American Justice system will wind up?

How about the propensity of Judges to disregard legislation, make up law, tell elected officials how to run the nation? Apparently, they inhabit a make-believe world wherein they are kings.

What about the tendency of Police officials and law enforcement to view law biding citizens as the enemy and terrorists as the victims? (Been to the airport lately?).

We need look no further than Britain. This nation of moonbats is entering the terminal stages of civil deconstruction. From the ever fascinating Daily Mail:

Man who claimed Paddington train crash turned him into a killer can appeal for compensation

A violent killer will be given up to £300,000 in compensation after he blamed the killing on trauma he suffered during the Paddington train crash

Gray, a council administrator, suffered minor injuries when the train he was travelling on was hit head-on by a high-speed intercity train on 5th October 1999.

However, he claims that as a result of the accident his personality was profoundly altered. From being a very passive person, he started to experience bouts of uncontrollable rage.

Diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, he became withdrawn, emotionally unstable and his relationship with his girlfriend deteriorated."

In August 2001, John Boultwood, a father-of-two, drunkenly wandered in front of Gray's car and hammered on his window.Gray, from Tilbury in Essex, started to punch and kick the 42-year-old welder, then stabbed him repeatedly with a kitchen knife.

Was this fellow traveling with the knife?

No. He went home to get it, came back and stabbed the drunk who was lying there. For this, a sympathetic Judge--apparently unaware that Post Traumatic Stress syndrome is not only rare, but virtually non-existent in the described circumstances--awarded him a minimum of $600,000.

Hey! It's somebody else's money after all. But what about the , ah, fellow who died?
Who cares?

The decision was greeted with outrage and dismay by the family of Gray's victim.

Mr Boultwood's mother Edith Sinclair, 74, said: "I can't believe it. So he will get rich by killing a person? How can that man blame it on the crash? It was two years after. He went and got a knife and came back. He knifed my Jonny seven times."

This incident is by no means isolated. From the same paper:

Former soldier arrested for kidnap after his citizen's arrest on yob who pelted his home with eggs

(Frank McCourt: He says he has been 'put through months of hell')

When Frank McCourt's home was targeted by young hooligans hurling rocks and eggs, he challenged them and told them to leave and never return.

But the next day they came back so Mr McCourt, a former soldier, tried to phone the police but was put on hold for 45 minutes.

At the end of his tether, he grabbed one of the louts by the arm and hauled him inside, telling him he was performing a citizen's arrest.

But it was Mr McCourt who was arrested later that day - for kidnap.
The 57-year-old spent six weeks on bail before being charged with the lesser offence of assault. "

"A Sussex police spokesman said: 'An allegation was made and officers duly investigated the facts reported to police. A file was presented to the Crown Prosecution Service in accordance with procedure.

A wild guess here: it is easier to deal with a law biding, compliant citizen that actual criminals, regardless of their age. It is generally believed in this country that the crime rates in Britain are decidedly less than here in America.

This is untrue. The reported crime rate in Britain, with the exception of murder by firearms, is far higher.

And that is only the reported rates. in many instances the Police in Britain--and in fact most of the EU--are under no obligation to file reports and, in fact, discourage the same by the shenanigans detailed here.

I Married My Sibling: Horror For One UK Couple

The last thing on one's mind, when they meet and fall is love, is whether their new love could be a biological sibling.

One couple in the UK discovered, much to their horror, they were twins, conceived by In Vitro Fertilization, then separated at birth. The privacy of the "anonymous" sperm or egg donor superseded their right to know the circumstances of their birth. The couple discovered that they were twins born after Invitro treatment and then separated at birth.

Current laws in Britain protect the identity of the biological donor parents, putting the children in a bewildering maze of Never Never Land. Never knowing who donated the sperm or the egg that led to their conception or the possibility that they may have multiple half-brothers and sisters.

David Alton, member of the Lords, said the couple were granted an annulment after a High Court Judge ruled their marriage had never "validly existed".

An annulment will not erase the trauma of breaking one of society's taboos, that of incest, even if it happened unknowingly or the myriad of other issues facing this couple.

Alton, a Catholic pro-life politician, is using the couple's plight to highlight the "deficiencies" of a new piece of legislation working its way through Parliament, the Human Embryology and Tissues Bill.
The bill is designed to make it easier for lesbian and gay couples to have children through assisted reproduction, recognising same-sex partners as legal parents of babies conceived through donated sperm, eggs or embryos.
Alton points out that there's no provision for the identity of the donor to be disclosed which protects the donor but keeps the child in the dark. Legally, the child will not be allowed to access any information leading to the identity of the donors involved with their conception nor genetic information.

From Testicare:
Around 8,500 of the 640,000 babies born in the UK each year are ART-conceived and it is estimated that every primary school now has at least one "test-tube baby".
From the Times Online: The Multimillion-Pound Sperm Industry
The global market for sperm exports has been estimated at between £25 million and £50 million a year. The US market is worth £5 million and £10 million and the European market is of similar size.

Import of Cryos sperm is restricted or banned in the UK, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, New Zealand and Australia — in most cases because the donors cannot be anonymous.

Cryos is still selling to the UK in “exceptional circumstances”, for instance, if a couple want siblings for a child already conceived by a Danish donor.
The largest buyers of Cryos sperm are clinics in Denmark, Ireland, Belgium and Finland. The couples being treated in these countries are often from nations where laws against the use of anonymous sperm are the most stringent.

US customers can pay $25 to browse extended profiles of donors, which contain details of the donor’s heart rate, skin tone, propensity to allergies or myopia, and where donors discuss their education, their career goals, their love life, their favourite food/colour/animal/car, and reminisce about their upbringing and family holidays. A photo of the donor costs $20.

While the rest of Europe looks to Denmark for donor sperm, Spain is becoming the place for couples requiring donor eggs. Though Spanish egg donors may not be paid, they may receive “compensation”. In Barcelona women can be paid £600. One clinic in the city gets five new British couples each week.
How many "sperm" donor kids are out there?

From Spermcenter:
What about the children? How many sperm donor babies are born in a year?
The short answer is, nobody knows because nobody's counting. There are several
reasons. Many women don't report their births. Some are so happy to have a child that reporting doesn't cross their minds. Others prefer to keep the method of pregnancy private, even from their doctors. But the root reason there are no records is there's no law that requires them, and no agency keeping track. The Center for Disease Control keeps detailed records on Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART), but not Donor Insemination (DI). ART involves the removal of an egg. It's considered high-tech, medically difficult and deserving of accurate statistics to measure success. DI is performed with the medical equivalent of a turkey-baster. It's considered low-tech, brainless and unworthy of keeping score.

Most news media report 30,000 sperm donor babies born in the US each year. But that number is 20 years old. At least one sperm bank claims on their web site the current number is 50,000. Table 1 shows the average number of children per donor under various assumptions about the number of donors and children. The average ranges from 19 kids per donor at the low end, to 54 on the high. With conservative
assumptions—say, 90,000 babies and 3500 donors—the average donor has 26 kids.

Will governments have enough gumption to address the issue of rights of invitro-babies?

Time and the sheer numbers of these babies being born will tell.

Gibbons Home From Sudan; BAIR Still Angry

The English school teacher who was imprisoned for allowing her class to name a teddy bear "Mohammed" is back home from Sudan.

Gillian Gibbons is relieved, but in a rather low-key English way.
Asked if she had been shocked by the punishment handed out to her, she said: "I am just an ordinary middle-aged primary school teacher. I went there to have a bit of adventure and got a bit more than I bargained for."
One group who was not happy about Gibbons' escape from Sudan was B.A.I.R. (Bruins Against Islamic References).

As was reported yesterday, BAIR spokesbruin, T.D. Bear, was still angry over Gibbons escaping with what he called "light punishment". He had call for Gibbons to be eaten by members of his group.

No word yet on BAIR's reaction to Gibbons making it home to the U.K. safely.

Madeline McCann:
Case Has Had False Leads and Alarms

Was the news in the Madeline McCann case a hoax, cruel trick or the work of an attention-starved news junkie?

Back in June, a letter was sent to a Dutch newspaper; supposedly it contained news of Madeline's death and the whereabouts of her body.

The letter set off a police investigation of the site mentioned in the letter. Police discovered no body at the location.

It started with the following revelation.
IS Madeleine McCann dead? A letter to a Dutch newspaper. And a map showing where her body can be found. It’s credible:

Police in Portugal are investigating an anonymous letter and a map claiming to show where missing four-year-old Madeleine McCann’s body is buried.

The letter, sent to Dutch paper De Telegraaf, identifies an area 15km (9.3 miles) from where Madeleine vanished.
Authorities naturally had to treat the letter as containing genuine information and dispatched police to the site to follow up.
Portuguese police say they have not found anything in a search of scrubland nine miles from where four-year-old Madeleine McCann went missing.

The search was carried out after a Dutch newspaper published details of an anonymous letter it received alleging Madeleine’s body was under rocks.

Officers said the line of inquiry had now been “discarded”.

Why was the letter considered a lead? The British press had plenty of theories on both the letter, its contents and its author.
It strongly resembles another letter sent to the same newspaper last year, accurately pinpointing where two missing Belgian girls were buried.

Ch Insp Olegario de Sousa said officers were “checking the information”.

Next to a cross and two question marks, the sender writes “vermoedelijke vindplaats Madeleine” - this is the place where Madeleine can probably be found.

A murder investigation. And still only one suspect.

One day on and “BURIED UNDER ROCKS,” says the Mirror’s front –page headline.

The paper notes how the handwriting on the letter is the same as that on the paper giving the whereabouts of Stacey Lemmens and her sister Nathalie Mahy who went missing in Belgium last year.

As the Sun reports, the note says Madeleine is buried “north of the road under branches and rocks, around six to seven metres off the road” in an spot near Odiaxere, close to the Algarve resort from where the girl went missing 42 days ago.

The Mail says the author of this letter and, most likely, the one concerning the Belgian sisters, is unknown to police.

A certain Abdullah Ait-Oud, a convicted paedophile, has been charged with their murders. He denies any involvement. Although police believe he acted with an accomplice who has not been traced.

“MADELEINE IS BURIED HERE,” says the Express on its front page. Portuguese police are searching the area…

That letter proved to be a false alarm in the baffling, and still yet-unfolding, story of the disappearance of the little English girl.

The list of hoaxers and false alarms plagued the case. The letter was neither the first, nor the last.
While the McCanns seemed to be getting their message across, the story also attracted hoaxers and fraudsters. One call was received from a man on an unregistered pay-as-you-go phone in Argentina claiming to know the whereabouts of their daughter, but led to nothing, while an anonymous letter and map sent to an Amsterdam-based newspaper claimed Madeleine was buried in scrubland close to the holiday resort. Some 50 officers and police sniffer dogs were sent to search the area but found nothing.

An Italian man and a Portuguese woman were subsequently held on suspicion of trying to extort money from the McCanns, saying they had information on the whereabouts of their daughter. A man in Eindhoven, Holland, was also arrested for attempting to defraud the McCanns by demanding £1.35m in exchange for information on their daughter.

The first signs of a backlash against the McCanns appeared in mid-June. Chief Inspector Sousa said that the fact that so many people had crowded into the room from which Madeleine was taken was making it difficult for the forensic teams to make sense of DNA samples.

At the same time, thousands of yellow ribbons tied to trees and railings in the McCanns' home village were taken down amid concerns they were attracting "grief tourists". Villagers said that Rothley's main square had become a morbid visitor attraction after it was made the focal point for tributes.

Hopes of finding Maddie were once again raised at the beginning of August when a customer at a restaurant in the Flemish town of Tongeren, not far from the Dutch border, said she was "100% sure" she had seen the youngster. The glass from which the child was drinking was removed for DNA testing. It proved to be a false lead.

The case has had its share of false leads and alarms. One lead that seems to be dead now is the theory that the McCanns were responsible for the girl's abduction.

Still another theory, entertained for awhile, that the body of the little girl, discovered in a cooler on a sandbar, near Galveston, TX and named "Baby Grace" might be that of Madeline's. That theory was shelved after the mother last week confessed to beating and torturing 2-year-old Riley Sawyers.

Riley Sawyers was "Baby Grace", not Madeline McCann.

To be the parents of Madeline, kidnapped from her room while on vacation months ago, every bit of news--true or false--causes pulmonary reactions.

Holding their breath, a sigh of relief, an angry hiss, the sharp intake of breath: all were likely to have been the McCann's reactions to various bits of news over this long stretch of waiting and wondering.

The news of the Dutch letter and the subsequent investigation was a false alarm. Both the police and the parents sort through bits of news.

Both have their own questions. Most of the questions are the same.

Who removed her from their room? Where is Madeline now? Where will all lead?

Police and parents alike are still working on the answers.

At this point, all that can be offered to Madeline's long-suffering parents is speculation.

Madeline McCann: "Killed by a Pedophile"

Madeline: photo taken the day she was abducted

On the same day that gruesome details of how Riley Sawyers ("Riley Sawyers Mother Tortured Her: Little Riley Never Had a Chance") died were released, news of what investigators now believe happened to Madeline McCann come to light.

It is not good news for those who had hoped she is still alive.

Police investigators in Portugal, where the 4-year-old was abducted, now believe that a pedophile killed her during a break-in at the resort room where she and her parents had been vacationing.

They were put out by the Telegraph in "Madeleine 'killed in moment of thwarted desire'":
Madeleine McCann was killed by a paedophile in a moment of "thwarted desire" before being taken from her Algarve holiday apartment, police investigating her disappearance believe, it has been claimed.

Her parents have all but been ruled out as suspects now. Originally, police had offered her mother a two-year sentence if she would confess.
Detectives now believe she was taken by an intruder who panicked and suffocated her to stop her from screaming, it was alleged.

They are close to abandoning the theory that Kate and Gerry McCann were responsible for their daughter's disappearance and will instead focus on the man seen walking away from the apartment carrying a child in his arms.

The U-turn has been suggested after a review of the case by senior detective Paulo Rebelo, 45, who took over the investigation in October.

Respected Portuguese daily Publico on Monday published a chilling recreation of what it claimed police now believe may have been Madeleine's final few seconds of life.

"It was a moment. An unexpected event thwarted the prospect of desire. Madeleine cries as she wakes from her sleep. Her fear makes itself heard," the newspaper said. "She has to be silenced. Violence, suffocation probably. And unexpected death.

"All over in minutes. Now he had to get her out of there. Close the door. Flee as fast as he could.

"The theory this is the explanation behind Madeleine's McCann's disappearance, the night of May 3, was practically ruled out previously by police investigators.

"Now though, it's gaining strength in the centre of the investigation."

Private detectives hired by the McCann family are investigating a possible link between Madeline and a local girl that was abducted in 2004.
Joana Cipriano, 8, disappeared from her home in the Algarve village of Figueria, 10 miles from Praia da Luz in September 2004. She has never been found.

Her mother Leonor, 36, and uncle, Joao, 35, were convicted of murder after Ms Cipriano confessed to the crime during police questioning.

She later retracted her confession, claiming it was forced during a beating by detectives, but was found guilty and sentenced to 16 years in jail. Her lawyers claim she is innocent and are appealing.

On Monday it emerged that Metodo 3 are looking into Joana's case to see if there is anything to link it with Madeleine's disappearance.

"There may be a connection," one of the Spanish detectives told Portuguese newspaper Diario de Noticias.

"We are following all leads," he said.
Sad news on both the Baby Grace/Riley Sawyers and Madeline McCann cases on the same day.

For Riley Sawyers' family, the hope that she was still alive has been extinguished. The details of how she died are not pretty.

For the family of Madeline McCann, there still burns a small spark of hope that she might still be alive.

Today's news did nothing but dampen that spark.
