Petition to Ban Islam to be Presented to World Court

We got an email within the last hour, notifying us that there was a petition to Ban Islam, "that will be presented to the World Court".

It was signed by "Mystic".

It has been pointed out to us that "this will only make the moderate Muslims mad" and also that "you can't fight people who blow themselves up with petitions".

That may very well be.

Or, It might be a desperate attempt to "work through the system".

But, there's something to be said about ingenuity and PR, and we'd guess that's what the petition is apt to get: attention.

Attention to what some feel is a growing problem in some sectors of Europe.

Whatever it's intent, a copy of the petition's wording is presented below, as well as some links for anyone interested in signing it.

To: International citizens

BAN ISLAM

TO: THE WORLD COURT

IN THE INTEREST OF HUMAN VALUES AND UNIVERSAL LOVE, WE DIRECT THIS PETITION TO THE WORLD COURT FOR JUDGEMENT.

WE, THE UNDERSIGNED INTERNATIONAL PETITIONERS, REQUEST A BAN ON THE ORGANIZATION CALLED ISLAM. WE REQUEST THIS BAN DUE TO THE CRIMINAL ACTS OF ITS FOUNDER, MOHAMMED AND THE KORAN'S DOCTRINES WHICH PRESENTLY LEGITIMIZES THE CRIMINAL ACTS OF PAEDOPHILIA, ASSASSINATIONS, THE OPPRESSION OF WOMEN BY SUPPRESSING THEIR HUMAN RIGHTS, THE PENALTIES OF STONING AND DISMEMBERMENT, THE UTILIZATION OF TERROR AS A WEAPON OF INTIMIDATION AND CONTROL.

Sincerely,

There are currently 265 signatures on the petition, which was posted in the last hour.

Like we said before, whatever it's intent, the petition is sure to be condemned: by some for being "hate" literature; others, for not going far enough.

But, we'll let the reader decide that for himself.

Zombie Drug: It's Gonna Get You

Is there really a "zombie drug"?

If there isn't, how can it be a "problem"?

In case you were wondering what CNN Headline News does to fill the time it didn't use to report on the John Edwards Love Child Scandal or ask questions about the Larry Sinclair-Barack Obama sex and drug allegations, we may the answer.

They spent 7 minutes a year ago on this "scary" documentary about scopolamine--a common ingredient in motion sickness medications.
In medicine scopolamine has 3 primary uses: treatment of nausea and motion sickness, treatment of intestinal cramping, and for ophthalmic purposes. Use as a general depressant and adjunct to narcotic painkillers is also common. The drug is less commonly used as a preanesthetic agent and uncommonly for some forms of Parkinsonism. Scopolamine is also used as an adjunct to narcotic analgesia, such as the product Twilight Sleep which contained morphine and scopolamine, some of the original formulations of Percodan and some European brands of methadone injection, as well as use of tablets or patches to combat nausea as well as enhance the pain-killing ability of various opioids. Scopolamine can be used as an occasional sleep aid and was available in some over the counter products in the United States for this purpose until November 1990.

Just in case you weren't sufficiently terrified by the weenie producer and his pantie-waist "Tales from the Dark World of Scopolamine", he:

1 soundtracked a cheesy voo-doo wailing music throughout the whole interview.

2 invented scary stories, i.e., "We were afraid he would blow some of this drug in our faces and steal our car."

3 Keep talking about how frightened people are of it.

4 Kept referring to scopolamine as "The Zombie Drug".

The only trick in the "drug demonization" handbook he left out was saying that blacks liked to use it to rape white women.

Watch the CNN "Report" and then you decide for yourself

Usually, demonization of a substance is the first step in getting more money appropriated so drug warriors can combat the new "demon drug".

The whole thing started with a couple books written back 1982 by a Canadian.
Wade Davis, a Canadian ethnobotanist, presented a pharmacological case for zombies in two books, The Serpent and the Rainbow (1985) and Passage of Darkness: The Ethnobiology of the Haitian Zombie (1988).

Davis traveled to Haiti in 1982 and, as a result of his investigations, claimed that a living person can be turned into a zombie by two special powders being entered into the blood stream (usually via a wound). The first, coup de poudre (French: 'powder strike'), induced a 'death-like' state because of tetrodotoxin (TTX), its key ingredient. Tetrodotoxin is the same lethal toxin found in the Japanese delicacy fugu, or pufferfish.

At near-lethal doses (LD50= 5-8µg/kg), it can leave a person in a state of near-death for several days, while the person continues to be conscious. The second powder, composed of dissociatives like datura, put the person in a zombie-like state where they seem to have no will of their own.

Davis also popularized the story of Clairvius Narcisse, who was claimed to have succumbed to this practice. There remains considerable skepticism about Davis's claims, although there is wide belief among the Haitian people of the existence of the "zombie drug". The Voodoon religion being somewhat secretive in its practices and codes, it can be very difficult for a foreign scientist to validate or invalidate such claims.

As always, we prefer to let the reader make up his own mind.

But if you ask us--and nobody did yet--we'd be quick with our decision of this "report".

Larry Sinclair: Obama Accuser Submits to Polygraph

The strange sordid saga of the man who alleges he and Senator Barack Obama had a couple of one-nighters with illegal drugs and oral sex has gotten even stranger, with polygraphs, drug tests, fatal brain tumors, Vicki Iseman, and the tabloid, The Globe.

According to the site,Whitehouse.com, which has the video and the details, Sinclair has submitted to both a drug test and the first of two polygraphs.

Whitehouse.com has stepped into the breach left by the non-response of the MSM. The site offered Sinclair $10,000 to take a polygraph to substantiate the allegations Sinclair made on a video posted a month ago on Youtube. Whitehouse.com also agreed to pay Sinclair the sum of $100,000 if he passed the polygraph.

Sinclair maintains that he met Obama back in November of 1999 in an "upscale" Chicago lounge. He alleges that he and Obama went back to a limo Sinclair had rented where Obama allegedly procured illegal drugs, crack and powder cocaine for their use, and that he, Sinclair, gave the then State Representative Obama, a "blow job."

Sinclair goes on to allege that he and Obama met a second time, at an unknown motel in Gurnee, Illinois.

Vicki Iseman

To prove their site is non-partisan, Whitehouse.com has also challenged the woman in the center of the McCain lobbyist scandal, Vicki Iseman, to take a polygraph and if she passes, the sum of $100,000.

Sinclair in 1999

Whitehouse.com is reporting that Sinclair has now submitted to a first polygraph and will take a second, the results which will be announced on their site, "Monday or Tuesday." Whitehouse.com is also reporting that Sinclair was given a drug test prior to the polygraph.

DBKP contacted Mr. Sinclair for an interview and after an initial contact, there's been no further response from Sinclair. DBKP is also attempting to verify information about Sinclair that was put out in a piece written by the tabloid, The Globe.

Since the MSM has failed to investigate Sinclair and/or his claims it has fallen upon the shoulders of intrepid bloggers. Whitehouse.com has gone above and beyond by getting Sinclair to submit to a polygraph.

So far details about Sinclair, who he is, his past, have not been forthcoming. The Globe put out a story, "Obama Sex Scandal" in its latest edition. We'd put up a link but we're too cheap to spend the money for an online subscription and so quotes will have to suffice.

According to the details printed in the Globe of Sinclair's past, these "facts" could call into question the veracity of his claims.

According to the Globe Sinclair is a 46-year-old ex-con whose "spent time in prison in Florida, Arizona and Colorado on credit card fraud and other charges."

The Globe claims Sinclair was a coke and pot drug trafficker and also a "coyote," a person who "moved" people from Mexico to the United States. For a price.

Not only does the Globe claim Sinclair is an ex-con, coyote, dope trafficker, but that Sinclair has now been diagnosed with a "brain tumor" and "given only a little more than a year to live."

The Globe has also expanded Sinclair's "story" about the night he "met" Obama at a lounge in Chicago. According the Globe, just after meeting the Senator at the lounge Sinclair told Obama he could "use a line (of cocaine) to wake up." Sinclair says Obama "made a phone call and said he could get it for me."

Sinclair says he gave Obama $250 which Obama allegedly used to buy crack and powder cocaine. In his Youtube video, Sinclair claims he and Obama also spent a gay ole time at a motel in Gurnee, Illinois.

Quite a few "details" indeed.

An ex-con, credit card fraud, drug and human trafficking, and now a terminal brain tumor with less than a year to live.

Shades of a Mexican telenovela, but then life is stranger than fiction.

Take the Hillary Clinton Test: Seven Little-Known Facts about HRC

"What you don't know won't hurt you."

The common saying above might apply to Hillary Clinton.

Or not.

At any rate, we looked for little known facts about Hillary Clinton--just because we're big trivia buffs, don't you know. And we came up with seven that we can use without seeming, well, partisan.

Take the Hillary Clinton Test. What kind of score can you achieve?

So, here are seven little-known facts about the Woman who would be President.

1. In 1969, after Hillary Diane Rodham graduated with departmental honors in political science, she worked her way across Alaska, washing dishes in Mount McKinley National Park and sliming salmon in a fish processing cannery in Valdez (which fired her and shut down overnight when she complained about unhealthy conditions).

2. In 1978, Hillary Clinton invests $1,000 in cattle futures. Within a few days she has a $5,000 profit. Before bailing out she earns nearly $100,000 on her investment. Many years later, several economists will calculate that the chances of earning such returns legally were one in 250 million.

Hillary Clinton makes a $44,000 profit on a $2,000 investment in a cellular phone franchise deal that involves taking advantage of the FCC's preference for locals, minorities and women. The franchise is almost immediately flipped to the cellular giant, McCaw.

3. It took Bill Clinton 4 years to make Hillary become his wife. They started dating in 1971. Hillary Rodham and Bill Clinton were married on October 11, 1975, in a Methodist ceremony in their living room.

4. Bill Clinton returned to the Governor's office in 1982. Only then Hillary Diane Rodham began to use the name Hillary Clinton, or sometimes "Mrs. Bill Clinton", in order to have greater appeal to voters.

5. From 1986 to 1992 Hillary Clinton was enjoying six-year tenure as a director of Wal-Mart, the nation’s largest company. Fellow board members and company executives say Mrs. Clinton used her position to champion personal causes, like the need for more women in management and a comprehensive environmental program.

6. Hillary Clinton failed the bar exam in Washington D.C.--but passed it in Arkansas.
This must have been somewhat of a blow to "The World's Smartest Woman".

But, when life gave her lemons, Hillary made lemonade. As she puts it:
"I had taken both the Arkansas and the Washington, D.C., bar exams during the summer, but my heart was pulling me toward Arkansas. When I learned that I had passed in Arkansas but failed in D.C., I thought that maybe my test scores were telling me something." --from "Living History" by Hillary Clinton.

7. Hillary Clinton became involved into a scandal about having a lesbian affair with her personal aide Huma Abedin. A new book by Edward Klein, ‘The Truth About Hillary’ is said to make some claims about Hillary Clinton having lesbian relationships.

How many of these little-known facts did you know?

Here's how you score:

0-1 answer right = Average American voter
2 answers right=== Democrat
3 answers right=== Hillary Supporter
4 answers right=== Hillary campaign contributor
5 answers right=== Political junkie
6 answers right=== Opposition research, McCain For President
7 answers right=== James Carville or Bill Hillary

The Twelve Questions Hillary Clinton Wouldn't Answer

Pravda's pissed.

The Russian newspaper, once eagerly read by the CIA for hints about the USSR's Communist leadership, sent the junior senator from New York twelve questions.

They never received any answers.

In fact, they still haven't received a dah or nyet.

The paper was so peeved it published an editorial a several weeks ago taking Hillary Clinton to task for not even responding to their request a few years back for some answers.
Two years ago, the office of Senator Hillary Clinton was contacted with a polite message requesting an interview. A standard anonymous answer followed. Despite repeated contacts during the election campaign, not even a message of recognition was received, contrary to all the other political parties in the USA, including the office of Vice President Richard (Dick) Cheney. Here are the questions that Hillary Clinton did not answer:

Even Dick Cheney!

Although the Russian newspaper started sending their queries a few years ago, they must have added to their list since then, as the last couple questions pertain to Barack Obama's campaign, which wasn't announced until little over a year ago.

What were the questions that Clinton didn't even acknowledge?

Pravda published them on February 3 2008 along with a couple snide--some would say accurate--observations.

Here they are:

The Twelve Questions Hillary Clinton won't Answer

1. Senator Clinton, is it true that you insinuated President Putin does not have a soul?

2. You have said you wish to reform the US healthcare system. Could you please tell us how you plan to do this?

3. Why should you succeed where others have failed?

4. How would you comment on your statement that being a Republican and a Christian are difficult to conciliate?

5. Is it true that you have the support of the Jewish Lobby? If so, how will this influence your foreign policy? Will it continue to be controlled by Israel?

6. What is your message to the average American voter? How would you propose to make his/her life better?

7. What are your plans for Iran? Do you stand for a war?

8. How would you improve America's standing in the international community?

9. Why did you support the war against Iraq?

10. What are the reasons for your having fallen for the lies which were launched against Saddam Hussein?

11. Why does your Candidate website not have an email for the Press, whereas that of Senator Obama has? Would you agree this is a comment on the professionalism or the arrogance of your campaign?

12. Did you hope to gain an advantage over your opponent by announcing your trip to Florida and your support for the seating of Florida delegates just prior to the Florida primary?

After listing the above questions in their editorial, Pravda then followed them with a few obsevations.
The absense of an answer, on a systematic basis, can mean one or all of a number of things: Senator Clinton cannot answer these questions, does not want to answer these questions because she cannot find a credible enough reply, could not care less about the international press (in which case, what a fine candidate for a US President at a time when the USA needs to build bridges) or worse still, never received the messages in the first place, which would indicate a tremendous and shocking degree of lack of professionalism. If she cannot handle a website, how can she be expected to govern a nation of 300 million people?

The reader can decide for himself the wording or validity of Pravda's questions, especially those in #5.

However, more than a few Americans would agree with the conclusions they reached.

Pravda then fired a parting shot at Clinton's presidential campaign by noting that, "Indeed, for some reason Barack Obama’s website has a contact for the Press, whereas Senator Clinton’s has none."

Whatever one thinks of the questions that Clinton declined to decline to answer, one has to admit one thing.

They're tougher questions than anyone in the American MSM has asked the Democrat candidate to date.

Now Pravda knows how many American voters feel.

They've been trying to get some of those answers for years.

Man Throws Away Woman's Needles, Slashes Her Tires, Then Returns to Pour Sugar in Woman's Gas Tank

One More Heroin User Succumbs to an Urban Legend

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

A Massachusetts man got off for slashing a woman's tires, then returned 20 minutes later and was arrested for pouring sugar into her gas tank.
James Hoover got off the hook for slashing a woman's tire because the victim declined to press charges, according to a report by Officer Francis Bradley.

The officer told Hoover, 36, of 200 Parker St., Unit 11, he was lucky, and Hoover replied, "Yeah, that was dumb and I shouldn't have done it," the report said.

Hoover and the woman had argued at 200 Parker St., and police were called at 8:13 p.m. Monday. The officer escorted Hoover away from the scene, however, the victim called police 22 minutes later to say Hoover was back and he did more damage. The victim told police that after they left, Hoover returned and poured sugar into her car's gas tank. Police saw what looked like sugar caked around the gas reservoir, along with a flat tire, the report said.

Bradley arrested Hoover, and Hoover told the officer he and the victim are heroin users and the argument stemmed from him throwing away her needles, and that he wanted to get clean, the report said.

Poor Hoover can't catch a break.

First, his needles. Then, he's jailed. Finally, the effects of sugar in the gas tank are mostly rumors and hear-say.

Another heroin user succumbs to an urban legend.
Putting sugar or water in the gas tank of a vehicle can indeed cause the engine to stall -- sugar because the granules won't dissolve in gasoline and may clog the fuel filter; water because it interrupts combustion -- but neither method will produce a predictably-timed engine failure. Depending on the quantity of the foreign substance introduced, it might take minutes, hours, or even days for the stall to occur, if it occurs at all.

Hoover copped an attitude when he got to the police station, calling the officers "a joke". The police delivered their punchline by charging him with willful and malicious injury to personal property.

Hoover later calmed down and apologized.

If the perp had pour straight H20 into the woman's gas tank, he'd have accomplished the same thing as pouring the sugar--and there would have been no residue around the gas tank opening.

But Hoover seems the persistent sort.

Maybe next time.

MA Cops Awarded "Corruption" Plaques; Might File Federal Charges Against the Dirty Rat That Did This

Ungrateful?

Police in Lawrence, MA were so unhappy at receiving plaques honoring them for being corrupt, they're thinking of making a federal case out of it.

The impressive-looking plaques were each embossed with a gold police shield, a small gun and each was engraved with an officer's name.

Police launched an investigation immediately into sent them the awards.

The cops were so upset at receiving the award, they are contemplating filing federal charges.
But these "plaques" sent to the police department Sunday were no awards. They came from a bogus address in Puerto Rico, supposedly sent from a former assistant district attorney and were in recognition for the officers being "corrupt." They were dated "9-11-2007."

As first reported on The Eagle-Tribune's Web site eagletribune.com yesterday, police Chief John Romero has launched an investigation into who sent the packages. He said police are contemplating criminal charges, possibly at the federal level. Police yesterday dusted the plaques for fingerprints. Romero was one of the recipients of the so-called award.

Lawrence police also notified the postal inspector in Boston. The sender could face federal charges for using the U.S. Postal Service "to threaten, harass or intimidate," Romero said.

Police said that they have a suspect in mind "based on similar harassing correspondence" Romero had received. He declined to identify the suspect.
It's not uncommon for the Police Department to receive disparaging or critical letters along with notes of kudos and praise. But Romero said he's never received a plaque of this nature.

"It seems this individual went to great lengths and expense to do this. That, in itself, is disturbing," Romero said.

Whoever made up the plaques and shipped them went to considerable expense, Romero said. The plaques probably cost $200 apiece to make and the shipping total was $75.

Local papers routinely publish the names of people arrested for charges which are later dropped. This unwanted publicity is sometimes called "rehabilitation through humiliation".

Seems someone must have thought the Lawrence, MA police department needed rehabilitated.

Enzyte Male Enhancement: Feds Convict Owner, Mother of Fraud

Women may not say it to your face, but they all want a larger, harder man. The all natural male sexual enhancement product Enzyte can take you to the next level. Source - Enzyte Website

Those "Smiling Bob" Enzyte commercials, either you loved em or hated em but either way, "Smiling Bob" ain't smiling no more.

Owner Steve Warshak and his mom, Harriet, were found guilty by a federal jury of conspiring with other employees to "commit mail, wire, and bank fraud." Warshak was also convicted of 60 counts of money laundering and various other sundry charges, enough to put him in prison for to 20 years or more.

How did this happen? According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, Warshak made false claims in his ads, ran up unauthorized charges to customer's credit cards and made it virtually impossible for customers to halt shipments in the mail.

Warshak denies any wrongdoing while his in-house counsel was convicted of "money laundering and conspiracy to obstruct federal proceedings" and seven other employees have plead guilty to conspiracy charges.

Check out the "North Pole"

Enzyte commercials with their main character, "Smiling Bob" were chocked full of double entendres.

From the Santa commercial:
"This is Bob, it looks like Bob is here to "spread around a little joy. But there seems to be a lot of rumors going around about this chubby Santa, because not long ago Santa decided he needed a little more room in his sled so he made a call to Enzyte about natural male enhancement.

And after a few short weeks, what did he get? Why not only a sleigh full of confidence and a sack full of pride... it looks like Bob got the one thing every lady likes... the joy of a gift, that keeps on giving.. Yes, with things heating up on the old North Pole it looks like there's no mistaking this Santa for an elf... anymore..."

From the Enzyte website:

What does Enzyte contain?
Vegetable cellulose, Swedish flower pollen extract, Tribulus terrestris extract (45% saponins) (stem and fruit), Ginkgo biloba leaf 50:1 extract, L-arginine HCl, maca root, saw palmetto berry, Panax ginseng root extract (80% ginsenosides), Avena sativa extract (aerial parts), horny goat weed extract (Epimedium sagittatum) (10% flavonoids as icariin) (whole plant), muira puama stem 4:1 extract, and octacosanol complex (5% octacosanol)

It must be the horny goat weed extract that made the pills worth $39.00 for a 30 day supply.

FAQ's
Will I have difficulty sleeping if I take Enzyte before bed?
Consumers have not reported that taking Enzyte disturbed sleep patterns.

Will Enzyte enlarge the penis in the flaccid state?
Enzyte may help create fuller, firmer erections, but it cannot alter natural physical size.
A customer "testimonial"
Mike is 36 and single. His career with a Fortune 500 company has really taken off, and Mike has many good friends.

Before Enzyte, Mike was not as successful with women as he had been in his career. Most of his friends were dating monogamously or were already married. Like so many of us, Mike had wondered how his sexual performance affected his ability to maintain a strong relationship.

Warshak and his mom remain free on bail until sentencing later this year. The Enzyte website is still up and running but it remains to be seen if Smiling Bob will be back on TV with the lure of "all natural male enhancement."

Jack Bauer's number could have been changed to a "10".

As in 'years in prison'.

A college student repeatedly rammed his car into another man's vehicle, yelling that the man was a terrorist and that he was Jack Bauer, the crack terror-fighting fed on the Fox TV show "24".
"My name is Jack Bowers (Bauer) and I work for the FBI and the Secret Service. My wife and family was kidnapped by the president and terrorist," Edgar Sullivan shouted, according to court documents.

Sullivan was given probation today when the "terrorist" whose car he rammed failed to show for any of the court dates. He faced up to 10 years in prison for second-degree assault for his Jack Bauer impression.

The Howard County State Attorney's Office speculated that Marlon Cantoral "may have been living illegally in the country," and that may have been the reason that he provided a fake address to police at the time of the ramming.

Or, he may have been a terrorist.

Sullivan made a good bid to be Kiefer Sutherland's replacement, should the "24" star need replacing.

He was driving a Ford Escape on I-95 a year ago when he struck Cantoral's van. The van left the highway and was rammed a second time as he tried to drive over the grass median strip.

Cantoral then fled on foot into the lobby of a correctional facility. Bauer...er..Sullivan followed him into the correctional facility and shouted "he's a terrorist and he kidnapped my family".
Officers contacted Sullivan's father who said his son was not married and the family was fine, authorities said. In court Thursday, Sullivan apologized for the incident, telling Howard County Circuit Judge Richard Bernhardt that he has been attending alcohol treatment and plans to graduate in May.

Sullivan, a student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County who pleaded guilty in September to drunken driving, smiled but did not speak as he left the courthouse with his parents.

So maybe Cantoral really was a terrorist.

But Sullivan wasn't really Jack Bauer.

Another career in law enforcement is snuffed out by the hard edge of reality.

A & E's Flip This House: Viewer "Beware"

Viewers beware: another Flip This House star has been exposed as a con.

Back in 2007, the AP ran a story on one of A&E's "expert" house flippers on the reality series, Flip This House, Atlanta businessman Sam Leccima. Not only was Leccima accused of fleecing investors but of also pulling an elaborate scam on viewers.

Sam Leccima

The popular A&E reality series Flip This House shows developers buying properties, fixer-uppers and foreclosures, renovating the property then turning it around for a profit.
Tackling one of the most exciting aspects of today's high-stakes real estate market - the transformation of an eyesore into a profit-making beauty - A&E's hour-long "docu-soap" follows the travails of three real-estate developers in the hot housing markets of New Haven, San Antonio and Atlanta, where each boasts a team of characters that buys homes, renovates them, then flips them for a profit. It sounds simple, but sparks fly and tempers are high before the fixer-uppers sell to happy buyers. Source - A&E
Leccima starred in the 2006 season of Flip This House where he claimed he was a successful real estate investor who just happened to have had his Georgia Real Estate License revoked in 2005. A Georgia panel ruled Leccima ""does not bear a good reputation for honesty, trustworthiness, integrity, and competence."

WAGA TV in Atlanta investigated Leccima's claims of "flipping" houses and found "mismatched wood floors and patched unpainted walls." But it was the elaborate hoax staged by Leccima, where he had friends and family pose as "buyers" and posted "sold" signs on unsold homes.

Leccima claims he never "owned" the homes and that A&E knew what Leccima was up to. A&E yanked Leccima's show off the air and removed any mention of Leccima from its website.

Armando Montelongo Jr.

Today a grand jury in Austin, Texas indicted yet another "house-flipper" from the A&E series.

According to the San Antonio Express News,
Armando Montelongo Jr. was indicted on "theft of services" charges for failing to pay appraisal fees. Montelongo could face up to two years in jail for the felony charges.

Montelongo has also been sued by the local school district for over $5,000 in delinquent back taxes. Montelongo's brother David, who starred on the show with Armando and their two wives, is being sued for "breach of contract and fraud" by a California investor.

Armando has capitalized upon his house-flipping success, putting out a series of how-too videos, Flip and Grow Rich and a new business listed on the web, Montelongo House Buyers.

During our two-year debut on “Flip This House”, we appreciated sharing our expertise with viewers and recognized the value of working with family. This time in our lives has now propelled us to even greater opportunities through the commencement of Montelongo Partnerships*, our new company. We believe that true success embodies sharing knowledge with others, modeling virtuous work ethics, and engaging in partnerships that equally benefit each party involved. As a trusted name and face in the real estate industry, we continue to hold higher standards of excellence and integrity in every endeavor. Source - Montelongo House Buyers

This is a case of "viewer beware" as back in 2007 A&E spokesperson Dan Silberman issued a statement from the network:
"A&E Television Networks is not a party to any of the transactions shown in Flip This House and has not received any formal complaints about the properties or sales."

Silberman also made the statement, that in effect, what happens on A&E, stays on A&E, as the network "doesn't investigate claims made by people on the show, opting to take them at their own word."

So in other words, if you're "flipping a house" on A&E, "anything goes" and a "sucker's born every minute." In this case, it's the viewers getting suckered as house flippers can claim they bought a property, fake renovations, then claim they "sold" it for.... whatever they want to claim and the viewer is none the wiser.

Everybody knows, on A&E, anything goes!

Montana to Secede: 35 Comments from Gun Owners if Gun Rights are Taken Away

35 Somewhat Random Comments on Montana and Secession from the US

Mostly from the AR-15 Forum

The story of the Supreme Court case, Heller v. D.C. and the Montana attorney general, Secretary of State and legislators warning the Supreme Court that if the Court finds that there is no individual right to bear arms in the Constitution, is going to get interesting, to say the least.

It appears that if the Supreme Court sides with the District of Columbia in disarming gun owners and invalidating the constitutional protections contained in the Second Amendment, they would be in direct opposition to what all 50 states have guaranteed their citizens in the 50 state consitutions: the right to bear arms and protect themselves.

This has sparked questions.

If the Supreme Court decides what is constitutional and it runs counter to what every single state has clearly worded as a guaranteed right in the state constitutions, written at the time those states freely joined the Union, what then?

At this point, we're not going to speculate until we do more research.

BUT that hasn't stopped others, particularly gun owners from weighing in on the consequences.

At the AR-15 Forums, a large forum for gun owners, the comments have been flying fast and furious since the news of the Montana legislators sending their warning to the Supreme Court that a finding of "collective right" would violate the compact the state signed with the US government when the state freely joined the Union.

Many of the comments there--and one in particular at DBKP--struck as as so entertaining, informative, funny or a combination of all 3, that we decided to round some up and make them into a story.

We now present a somewhat random sampling of 35 comments on the Montana story from the AR-15 forum.

"Arizona Constitution

Article 2 Section 26 - Bearing arms

Section 26. The right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of himself or the state shall not be impaired, but nothing in this section shall be construed as authorizing individuals or corporations to organize, maintain, or employ an armed body of men.
"

--innocent bystander

"If AZ and NV go, Hoover Dam and all the power generation come with us... CA can build their own power plants."

--Gravity Tester

"I will live in Montana. And I will marry a round American woman and raise rabbits, and she will cook them for me.

--anjan9 (originally said by the Russian boat XO in Tom Clancy's 'The Hunt for Red October')

"The "minutemen" (or are you thinking of the Freemen?) weren't supported by the Montana state government or any allied state governments. Totally different situation. This would be like 1860/61 where people would be running back and forth choosing sides. Go read some history. There were loads of people who's families were torn apart by differences in opinion on allegiance to their state or to the imperial federal government. Lots of people from the north moved to the south specifically to join the confederate army, and vice versa.

If state governments are involved, the thing could very easily get very ugly very quickly. Montana just needs to hope some states will jump in on their side.

Edited to add: By the way... I wonder how many nukes Montana has? Just wondering.

I'm sick of the waffling pussy-ass politicians in most states. It's about time somebody _somewhere_ had the guts to call a spade a spade.

Those who think that's "crackpot" can just go on letting the shit go on in their own state and slowly become "subjects" instead of citizens. Too bad some people think standing up for what's right is "stoopid"."

--timb3

"Maybe Wyoming could secede as well? President Cheney!"

--steve in Washington

"So, if all of you ARFCOMers move to Montana after they secede, would the US respond militarily and the handful of armchair comandos have to face the US Army? That would suck balls."

--70satvert

One comment in particular was extremely pertinent to the discussion.

"Texas can, Texas has it in the State constitution " The right to succeed""

--point target, on the illegality of states seceding from the union

"Please cite which clause. I've read the Texas Constitution and cannot seem to find it. In fact, Article I, Section 1 of the Texas Constitution seems to state just the opposite:

Sec. 1. FREEDOM AND SOVEREIGNTY OF STATE. Texas is a free and independent State, subject only to the Constitution of the United States, and the maintenance of our free institutions and the perpetuity of the Union depend upon the preservation of the right of local self government, unimpaired to all the States.

Perpetuity means forever, in case you were not sure.

"My reading of the Statehood contract, if it was anulled, is that it would simply revert Montana to a US Territory, eliminating all Federal tax revenues from the state. That would be perfectly legal, if the contract is held as valid. As such, Federal revenue or "tax" collecting agencies such as the IRS, BATFE, and Social Security administration would not be welcome any longer. Of course that also means MT would not get Federal monies for Highways, schools, law enforcement etc anymore. It would not become a separate country, but would have much greater leeway in governing itself. It would become the "US Territory of Montana". JMHO."

"Let's join our Montana brethren! Uphold the constition!"

--gdblair

"I pity all you nay sayers who would rather live as slaves than die defending your rights. So what of MT would be obliterated if they seceded? We would die fighting for our rights. As long as we didn't kill innocent civilians left and right we would be on the level of the early American revolutionaries."

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress;

"Wow! Montana has more balls than any other state in the Union! I believe that I would try to move there if it did secede.

I wonder if China and Russia would recognize Montana's independence? I would think it would be highly, highly likely they would. One or more states withdrawing from the Union would be the biggest loss of face for the USA since the Civil War. If the USA tried to take back Montana by force, I would imagine that China and Russia would try their best to supply arms and aid to Montana (too bad Montana doesn't have any coast line)... I hope all you guys in Montana like AKs and RPGs!

Unfortunately, there would be no way that Montana alone could defeat the USA in open conflict. The only trump card is if Montana could retain functional control of any remaining nuclear silos.
