So this is DBKP's Three Weeks in Crime.

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for April 20th-26th, 2008

At craigscrimelist I linked to a great article about child prostitution in the Bay Area that is being facilitated on craigslist.

Over at CrimeNe.ws the discussion of the week was about the NYPD cops that were acquitted in the shooting of Sean Bell.

At News of Doom the story of the week was about an Illinois female who killed her baby because it was cramping her nightlife.

With that story Illinois pulled into 3rd place behind Florida and Texas.

I posted a rather bizarre story at MyCrimeSpace about an Australian man who sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl he met over a social site. You have to read the post to get the full effect.

At Psycho for Love the story of the week was about the woman who duct taped her husband to death.

At ViceTube I posted my new favorite stupid criminal video.

And lastly at TheTrenchcoat Chronicles it was a busy week with not one but two school shooting plots being foiled. One in South Carolina and one where a 33-year-old man was involved.

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for April 13th-19th, 2008

At craigscrimelist I posted about a crime you wouldn't normally expect out of a craigslist user, defamation.

Over at CrimeNe.ws absolutely no one was surprised to find out a birthday clown was in possession of child porn.

The highest scoring story of the week at News of Doom was about a Connecticut woman who dehydrated a 2-year-old to death.

No major scoring changes.

The story that had the most discussion at MyCrimeSpace was not about the infamous Florida teens but about a mother who showed some really tough love for her dope smoking daughter.

At Psycho for Love comes a rather bizarre story about an accused child molester who was also a blackmailed sex slave.

At ViceTube the week of recorded beatings continues as I posted about a 14-year-old girl who thought her high school cafeteria was a WWE taping.

And lastly at TheTrenchcoat Chronicles I posted a story about how gay advocacy groups did not want the killer of a gay student to be tried as an adult and I asked my gay readers if these groups spoke for them.

Trench Reynolds: DBKP This Week in Crime, March 30-April 5

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for March 30th-April 5th, 2008.

At craigscrimelist the story of the week was not about a crime per se but how craigslist is flexing their legal muscle against a man who had a blog about craigslist before they did.

Over at CrimeNe.ws I made this post a full day before the passing of Charlton Heston. Click on over and you'll see why that's relevant. Just as an aside on Mr. Heston I think it's a shame that a lot of people will choose to ignore his role in civil rights in this country.

At News of Doom my pick for story of the week was about a man from Conn. who traveled 1000 miles to have sex with a 7-year-old girl.

Florida still stands atop the U.S. score.

The latest chapter in the Megan Meier saga has already been covered here at DBKP so from MyCrimeSpace I'll bring you the story of the Saudi man who killed his daughter because of Facebook and why I think the story is fake.

At Psycho for Love I generated a little controversy when I lamented that Andrea Yates is till incarcerated while the husband that drove her to kill, Rusty Yates, just spawned again.

CrimeTube is no longer CrimeTube. It seems I was infringing on a trademark by using that name so the new name is ViceTube. And from ViceTube I posted a story about a woman who was allegedly gang raped and the video was posted to YouTube. It turns out that she may be the actual predator.

And lastly at TheTrenchcoat Chronicles I weigh in with my opinion on the Georgia 3rd graders who plotted to kill their teacher. I'll let you in on a little secret to that post. My comments are sort of tongue in cheek.

At craigscrimelist this week there was stories about houses being ransacked and babies for sale but my best post this week was about a clueless state Attorney General who has no idea how the internet works.

Over at CrimeNe.ws I posted a story about an 11-year-old who was Tasered. She had it coming.

At News of Doom there wasn't really a story of the week so I bring to you a story and a rant about safe haven laws.

The top scorers remain unchanged from last week.

At MyCrimeSpace the catch of the week was the MySpace of one of the Virginia snipers.

At Psycho for Love we had not one but two stories about women who put their babies in danger to help their criminal boyfriends.

I started yet another new project this week in the vein of craigscrimelist and MyCrimeSpace. This time it's about stupid criminals who tend to post their acts on YouTube. My new project is called CrimeTube. The content is light right now but go on over and take a look.

And lastly at TheTrenchcoat Chronicles I go a little off topic and give my thoughts on the recent court ruling about cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal.

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for March 16th-22nd, 2008.

At craigscrimelist people often tell me that prostitution is a victimless crime. So I guess these kids that were prostituted weren't victims then.

It was vagina week at CrimeNe.ws as we had not one but two stories of moms trying to hide things in their mommy parts.

The story of the week at News of Doom was an obvious choice this week. It was this story out of Michigan where two alleged parents barbecued the body of their two year old to cover up his death.

Florida is still first place in the U.S. but England rules the world right now.

At MyCrimeSpace I've been posting about a rash of suicides in a Welsh town that some people have blame3d on the social site Bebo. Not the local coroner though. He's blaming it on YouTube.

At TheTrenchcoat Chronicles not only do I post about school shootings but also about extreme cases of hazing. This week I posted a story about a high school football player from Ohio who sodomized a teammate with a drinking straw.

This is DBKP's This Week in Crime for March 9th-15th,2008.

At craigscrimelist I posted two stories about readers that came across real estate scams where the scammers all used the same last name.

No farm animals being Tasered this week at CrimeNe.ws so instead how about a gnome that's terrorizing a town in Argentina.

There was somewhat of a recurring theme this week at News of Doom. It was victimize the mentally handicapped week apparently. In Illinois a pregnant and disabled woman was tortured to death. And in New Jersey three teens raped a mentally handicapped girl.

Florida still commands a hefty first place lead.

At MyCrimeSpace I give out an award to criminals who post evidence of their crime online called the Red Forman Dumbass Award. This week it was awarded to a group of wannabe thugs from Sheboygan.

At Psycho for Love I posted a story about a woman who married another woman but didn't realize that the other woman was a woman.

At TheTrenchcoat Chronicles I posted about a guy who claims that Columbine was his idea and about the latest school shooting plot to be broken up.

Lastly at my personal blog I posted a little political/crime/humor post about everyone's favorite ex-New York Governor, Eliot Spitzer.

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for February 24th-March 1st, 2008

At craigscrimelist I posted about one of the many downsides to being a craigslist hooker, people will not believe your rape allegations.

I've always had a fascination with mugshots that have a story behind them. So this week at CrimeNe.ws I posted not one but two mugshots of guys who obviously messed with the wrong person.

At News of Doom there were two stories of mass outrage this week. The first one was about the two teens from Ohio who beat and tortured a girl who was recovering from brain surgery. The second one was a 'mother' from New York who drowned and poisoned her kids.

New York leads the scoring right now but Texas is hot on its heels. 3-time champion Florida drops to 6th place.

This story will probably be of particular interest to readers of DBKP. AT MyCrimeSpace I recently posted that there will be no criminal charges brought against the people responsible for 'Megan Had It Coming'.

At Psycho for Love I posted that S&M sex may be hazardous to the health of Canadian women.

And lastly at TheTrenchcoat Chronicles I posted about a school shooting plot in Oklahoma that has a strange connection to a more infamous school shooting.

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for Feb 17th-23rd, 2008

As always we start off at craigscrimelist, the craigslist crime blotter, where I posted a story about 3 teachers in Nashville that were arrested in a prostitution sting. Don't salivate just yet. They were all men.

CrimeNe.ws is no long a user generated crime news site because the users just weren't there. Also I've combined two of my other non traffic generating blogs, Public Enemy: Player1 and Tased and Confused, into this new Blogenstein's Monster.

Anyway the story of the week at CrimeNe.ws was a story about an Australia man who is claiming he was Tased while handcuffed just to 'shut him up'. Obviously it didn't work.

At News of Doom, where crimes are rated on a scale of how sick they are, the story of the week was about two 'parents' from Illinois who neglected their own baby for 8 days. Scoring wise these two are leading for the highest rated single atrocity while the state of New York has taken the 'lead' in the states' rankings. Surprisingly, Florida is in 5th place. Will the defending champion be unseated this year?

At MyCrimeSpace I posted a story about a kid who was punished by his school for making a crude and libelous fake MySpace about his principal. How did his parents react. Why they sued the school of course claiming their precious little snowflake's right to free speech had been violated.

In New Zealand they don't have their own version of the Jerry Springer show. They might get one after reading this story about a Father and son love triangle that I posted about at Psycho For Love.

Last week a lot was made over the fact that the NIU gunman had recently stopped taking anti-depressants. At TheTrenchcoat Chronicles I posted how that probably had little to do with the shooting but how being on Ambien may have had something to do with it.

Trench Reynolds: DBKP This Week in Crime

February 10-16, 2008

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for February 10th-16th, 2008.


We start off with craigscrimelist with a review of a different inline classifed site that doesn't lend itself to criminal activity like craigslist does.


Next we go the user generated news site CrimeNe.ws. And I'm not kidding when I say user because I seem to be the last user left there. Anyway at CrimeNe.ws there;s always been a sort of fascination about guys who commit crimes with swords. This week was no different as I posted a link to a story about a naked guy with a sword in Rhode Island.

This week News of Doom was called the site that makes you want to kill yourself. I won't deny that and this week's story is an example of that. The story of the week at NoD was about an Arkansas daycare worker who raped a 4-year-old girl.

For the fisrt time in years Florida is no longer leading the scoring but not really that surpsisng New York and California are.

At MyCrimeSpace my favorite police department is featured once again. The Punta Gorda, Florida Police Department have made another drug arrest using MySpace.

At Psycho For Love I posted the tabloidish story about how much sympathy the former Long Island Lolita, Amy Fisher, has for shooting victim Mary Jo Buttafuoco which isn't much.

At Tased and Confused I posted a story about a grandmother who took a Tasing from an intruder and still managed to open a can of whupass.

And lastly at TheTrenchcoat Chronicles the big story of the week was the tragedy that happened at Northern Illinois University. However I don't want some other stories to be swept under the rug because of the focus on NIU. A 15-year-old from Oxnard, California was shot and left brain dead just because he was gay. A 19-year-old was shot at a Memphis High School which stemmed from a neighborhood argument. And in a story that I've been following for three years the son of the heqad of the Boston police union was convicted of plotting to attack his school. It's my opinion that due to his connections he won't even see the inside of a cell while an innocent 'friend' of his was sentenced to 10 months behind bars.

March 2nd-8th,2008

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for March 2nd-8th,2008.

At craigscrimelist I posted about what happened to one family when a father hired a baby sitter from craigslist. Let's just say he had buyer's remorse.

I know how much you guys like Taser stories so at CrimeNe.ws I posted a story about an off duty cop who Tasered a cow. The cow didn't even get the worst of it.

There was a clear leader for story of the week at News of Doom. It was story about a Florida 'father; who was charged with 350 counts of sexually and abusing his children for 6 years.

That story catapulted Florida into first place.

At MyCrimeSpace the story that garnered the most attention this week was when I posted the MySpace profiles of three of the four suspects accused in murdering the Caffey family from Texas.

Speaking of the Caffey family at Psycho for Love I posted about how the motive behind the family's murder was something as petty as the Caffey's teenage daughter not being allowed to see her boyfriend.

And lastly at TheTrenchcoat Chronicles I posted about a school shooting plot in New Jersey that was foiled. One of the participants was a member of the New Jersey National Guard and the other was a guard wannabe.
