Trench Reynolds: DBKP This Week in Crime - Aug 31-Sept 6, 2008

August 31-Sept 6, 2008
Volume 29

Trench Reynolds

I'm Trench Reynolds.

I blog about crime.

This is DBKP's This Week in Crime for August 31th-September 6th, 2008.

First I want to start off with an update of the story I posted about last time and that was the story of missing 5-year-old Giovanni Gonzalez. Unfortunately there's not a whole lot to update on. Giovanni was featured briefly on America's Most Wanted during Labor Day weekend and Clear Channel has donated a billboard in Lynn, Mass. asking people to call police if they have any information on him. Giovanni's father, Ernesto Gonzalez, is still in jail refusing to talk. Meanwhile the national media is still focused on the circus sideshow that is the disappearance of Caylee Anthony. Not that I don't hope that Caylee is found I just think that the media is focusing too much on the soap opera like aspects of it. Anyway if you want to be kept updated on the search for Giovanni Gonzalez you can go here.

So I have to apologize to DBKP readers. I took last weekend off because of the Labor Day weekend and speaking of Labor Day that usually marks when schools get into full swing for the new school year. With the way society is today along with the new school year has come a spate of plots to commit violence against the schools. Now some schools start their school years in August and that's how far I'm going back to bring you these plots.

18-year-old Colin McKenzie-Gude of Bethesda, Maryland had already graduated from high school. That didn't stop him from amassing a cache of weapons and explosives. Authorities also found a list of addresses of his former teachers and a map of the motorcade route that President Bush takes to Camp David. He also had forged documents that said he was a CIA agent and a U.S. contractor with protections from the Geneva Convention.

16-year-old Andrew Potts of Ardmore High School in Alabama was discovered to have been plotting an attack against his school. Potts was found to have hit lists that contained teachers and students names along with several swords and knives. Police also found Potts to be in possession of child porn in their search and Potts had been in previous trouble with the law for physically assaulting his grandmother. Potts has been charged as an adult.

Two 12-year-olds in Grand Rapids, Minnesota were arrested for planning a school shooting against Robert J. Elkington Middle School.

At Central High School 16-year-old Ryan McDonald was shot and killed by 15-year-old Jamar Siler. No motive has been released as of yet.

Not too far from me in Gastonia, NC a threat was made against Ashbrrok High School that was posted on a World of Warcraft message board. That threat turned out to be a hoax made by a juvenile from New Jersey.

18-year-old Allen Doelitsch of Boerne, Texas was arrested for plotting an attack against Samuel Champion High School, a school he didn't even attend. Doelitsch is also accused of trying to recruit a 14-year-old into his plot. He's blaming his actions on depression and the fact that his mom took him off his meds.

In Omaha, Nebraska 18-year-old Michael Tufly was arrested for threatening an attack against the Millard Learning Center which he attended. Tufly was an admitted 'fan' of Columbine and told police he was 'mad at the world'.

Am I trying to scare you into pulling your kids from school in fear that an attack is imminent at any time? No, not at all. More often than not these plots are discovered long before they ever come to fruition. The odds of a school shooting happening on the scale of Columbine or Virginia Tech are roughly the same as winning the lottery. However that doesn't mean that precautions shouldn't be taken or that parents shouldn't remain vigilant about what their children are up to. Most school shootings or plots could have been prevented if there had been just a bit more parental involvement.

Caylee Anthony Media Circus: Giovanni Gonzalez Gets No Attention

August 17-23, 2008
Volume 29

Trench Reynolds

I'm Trench Reynolds.

I blog about crime.

This is DBKP's This Week in Crime for August 17th-August 23rd, 2008.

For the past 8 months I've pimped out my sites here at DBKP. This week I'm doing something different, original content. What a concept, I know.

There's been a story in the news lately, you may have hard about it. A small child is missing. The child's parent is in jail on child endangerment charges and refuses to give police any information. There's evidence that the child may have been severely injured or even killed.

That sounds like the case of Caylee Anthony doesn't it? But it's not. This story is about 5-year-old Giovanni Gonzalez from Massachusetts.

Giovanni's father, Ernesto Gonzalez, had his son at his home for one of his visitations. The parents are currently involved in a custody dispute. When this past Monday came Giovanni had not been returned. Ernesto Gonzalez was arrested on child endangerment charges and is being held on $500,000 bond. He has a cut on his hand that he refuses to explain. Over this past weekend a bloody mop was found in Ernesto Gonzalez's home in Lynn, Massachusetts. Police are in the process of conducting door to door searches and have roadblocks set up all over the area.

Outside of mine and a few other blogs you won't hear about this story outside of the Boston area. No bounty hunters are involved and no L.A. lawyers are being retained as spokesmen. No armies of media are parked outside Gonzalez's house. No Nancy Grace or Greta Van Sustern doing shows about Giovanni Gonzalez. No psychics volunteering their assistance.

Why do you think that is? I think you know why but not for the reasons you think. It's because Giovanni Gonzalez and his parents are Hispanic. That's all there is to it. However I don't think the media outlets are racist. For the media it's all about numbers. They're ruled by ratings or readership. It's a twisted game of supply and demand. It's the American viewers and readers that are racist. They salivate over every minute detail that comes out of the Caylee Anthony story yet when a Hispanic boy befalls a similar fate no one outside of the area even bats an eyelash.

I used to think this wasn't true but I was just kidding myself about it. Think about it, since the dawn of 24-hour news can you name a crime story that held the nation's attention where the victim wasn't white? I used to also think it was about social class and not color but Casey Anthony doesn't seem to be financially successful so it isn't that either.

The media keeps producing these circuses because we demand them. If we stop watching and reading about them maybe then more missing children can receive the media attention they deserve. In reality that's nothing more than a pipe dream and the media will continue business as usual.

More information on the Giovanni Gonzalez story can be found here.

Trench Reynolds: DBKP This Week in Crime, Aug 10-16 2008

August 10-16, 2008
Volume 27

Trench Reynolds

I'm Trench Reynolds.

I blog about crime.

This is DBKP's This Week in Crime for August 10th-August 16th, 2008.

At craigscrimelist I made another short post about more teens involved in prostitution. And again more people think they're not victims.

The most interesting link I posted at CrimeNe.ws this week was a rare occurrence, someone on death row who actually took responsibility for his crimes.

At News of Doom we had several disturbing stories this week but the one that disturbed me the most was a story about a Florida DJ who had his eyes cut out.

The news was light this week at MyCrimeSpace but the story that was in the national media spotlight for a bit was about the missing Malibu twins. Luckily they were unharmed for the most part.

At TheTrenchcoat Chronicles the story that righteously raised my ire was a story about two parents who sued a school district for their son getting shot and killed there. You'd think they would have a case but read the post to find out why I think they're trying to collect blood money.

Speaking of blood money at Bad Breeders I posted a story about how I think there are some who are trying to collect their own blood money in the case of missing child Caylee Marie Anthony.

This weekend I've also opened a message board called The Open Trench. You can discuss any story from my blogs or any topic at all.

As usual if you want to follow my blogs you can use Twitter, the RSS feed, or Netvibes, and also Friend Feed.

That's it for this week. I'm Trench Reynolds for DBKP.

You will come to know when the bullet hits the bone.

Trench Reynods: DBKP This Week in Crime - vol. 27

August 3-9, 2008

Trench Reynolds

I'm Trench Reynolds.

I blog about crime.

This is DBKP's This Week in Crime for August 3rd-August 9th, 2008.

At craigscrimelist I made a short post about a woman who forced a girl into prostitution and yet some people still say that prostitution is a victimless crime.

Readers of DBKP may find this story from CrimeNe.ws interesting. Animal rights activists are believed to have firebombed the houses of two medical researchers.

At News of Doom the dismemberment theme continues as a woman in Greece was beheaded by her boyfriend. I also post weekly kitten pictures to help cleanse the mental pallet after reading these kind of stories.

The big story this week at MyCrimeSpace was the story about Mercades Nichols. You my remember her name from the infamous recorded beating of Victoria Lindsay. She's back in the news again because she was arrested again. This time on unrelated charges to the beating.

At my flagship site, TheTrenchcoat Chronicles, I posted a story that seems to have fallen off the media's radar lately. It's about an 18-year-old kid who may not only have been a would be school shooter but may have also been a would be presidential assassin.

And lastly at Bad Breeders while the coverage of the disappearance of Caylee Marie Anthony chugs on like the train that could the other story I want to feature this week is about a 14-year-old father accused of brutal child abuse.

As usual if you want to follow my blogs you can use Twitter, the RSS feed, or Netvibes, and now I also have Friend Feed for those of you who really want to stalk me online.

That's it for this week. I'm Trench Reynolds for DBKP.

Trench Reynolds: DBKP This Week in Crime 26

July 27-August 2, 2008

Trench Reynolds

[Editor's Note: DBKP apologize for the lateness of this week's Trench on Crime. We mistakenly thought this was posted earlier in the week. Look for new Trench's DBKP This Week in Crime on Sunday or Monday, as is usual.]

I'm Trench Reynolds.

I blog about crime.

This is DBKP's This Week in Crime for July 27th-August 2nd, 2008.

This week at craigscrimelist I the most amusing story was this one about a male temp that was running a prostitution ring in a veterinarian's office.

My favorite link from CrimeNe.ws this week would be this one which just happens to go to a guest post I did for Investigation Discovery.

Business has definitely picked up at News of Doom where we had not one but two particularly grisly stories.

At MyCrimeSpace the story of the week was about a 17-year-old rapist who was sentenced to 3 years in juvenile detention. The real story is in the comments section of that post.

At TheTrenchcoat Chronicles we had a story about a school shooter who is spending his life in prison who wants you to feel sorry for him.

And lastly at Bad Breeders while the coverage of the disappearance of Caylee Marie Anthony continues I do want to point out this post about a newborn that was mauled by a dog? Freak accident or inattentive parents?

As usual if you want to follow my blogs you can use Twitter, the RSS feed, or Netvibes. If you have another way you'd prefer to follow my blogs let me know.

That's it for this week. I'm Trench Reynolds for DBKP.

So until the next time have a good sin.

Trench Reynolds: DBKP This Week in Crime, vol. 25

July 20-July 26, 2008

Trench Reynolds

I'm Trench Reynolds.

I blog about crime.

This is DBKP's This Week in Crime for July 20th-July 26th, 2008.

This week at craigscrimelist I posted a story about how proponents of the so called 'victimless crime' harassed a man who was actually trying to clean up craigslist.

I think the DBKP readers might get a kick from a link I posted at CrimeNe.ws about some Barack Obama supporters.

Things are still slow at News of Doom except for one story I posted about yet another woman who had her baby cut from her womb.

A story from MyCrimeSpace that DBKP readers may also find interesting is the latest legal wrangling in the upcoming trial of Lori Drew.

At TheTrenchcoat Chronicles I posted about the most recent shooting to take place at a college campus. Even during the summer this still happens.

And lastly at Bad Breeders, I know I mentioned it last week but the blogging continues about the disappearance of Caylee Marie Anthony. Especially with the weird things that her grandmother, Cindy Anthony, keeps saying to the press.

Remember, if you want to follow my sites the best way is to use Twitter, the RSS feed, or Netvibes. Considering how often I change things around these ways are the best ways to keep up with me.

That's it for this week. I'm Trench Reynolds for DBKP.

Trench Reynolds: DBKP This Week in Crime - 24

July 13-July 19, 2008

Trench Reynolds

I'm Trench Reynolds.

I blog about crime.

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for July 13th-July 19th, 2008.

This week at the newly redesigned craigscrimelist the story this week was about an Idaho man who was tried and convicted for using craigslist to try to rape someone. You won't believe what his defense was.

My favorite link that I posted at CrimeNe.ws this week was about how some police departments are using injections to subdue some suspects.

Things slowed down this week again at News of Doom but I did post an update to the Megan Williams torture case.

At MyCrimeSpace the story of the week was about Joseph Genovese Jr. He killed a woman while driving under the influence then basically bragging about it on MySpace. You won't believe this one.

At TheTrenchcoat Chronicles a man who threatened a Columbine investigator only received probation. Yet people wonder why there are so many repeat offenders.

And lastly the Bad Breeders story of the week was the search for 2-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony who has been missing for over a month but her mom never reported it.

If you want to follow all my sites there are three different ways. You can subscribe to my Twitter feed, or the RSS feed, or my Netvibes page.

That's it for this week. I'm Trench Reynolds for DBKP.

Trench Reynolds: DBKP This Week in Crime 23

July 6-July 12, 2008

Trench Reynolds
I'm Trench Reynolds.

I blog about crime.

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for July 6th-July 12th, 2008.

I'm going to start out light this week with a story I posted at craigscrimelist. It was about a Florida government employee who was arrested for using craigslist to harass someone. What made it humorous is that I had a field day with his unfortunate name.

My favorite link that I posted at CrimeNe.ws was about an experimental crowd control device that has the tin foil hat crowd up in arms.

Business picked up at News of Doom and that's never a good thing. The most horrific story of the week was about an Oklahoma family who committed one of the worst cases of child abuse I've ever had the displeasure of posting about.

At MyCrimeSpace the conversation continued about the disappearance of Brooke Bennett especially with the revelation that the state of Vermont released her alleged abductor early.

At Psycho for Love I posted about an arrogant punk who gunned downed his girlfriend in front of witnesses and on surveillance tape but denied it.

At TheTrenchcoat Chronicles I posted about the revelations that came out this week about NIU gunman Stephen Kazmierczak.

And lastly the Bad Breeder of the week and possibly the year was an Ohio woman who did unspeakable things to her children.

If you want to follow all my sites there are three different ways. You can subscribe to my Twitter feed, or the RSS feed, or my Netvibes page.

That's it for this week. I'm Trench Reynolds for DBKP.

Trench Reynolds: DBKP This Week in Crime - Vol 22

June 29-July 5th 2008

I'm Trench Reynolds.

I blog about crime.

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for June 29nd-July 5th, 2008

At craigscrimelist the big post of the week was my response to a CNN article on child prostitution on craigslist and my usual call for craigslist to start taking responsibility.

The post at CrimeNe.ws which generated the most traffic and bizarre comment was a post about a woman who was turned in by her son for having sex with a dog.

It was a slow week at News of Doom and that's usually a good thing. Except for the one story I posted last week and that was about a woman who cut a baby out of another woman's womb.

The story of 12-year-old Brooke Bennett's disappearance continued to dominate the week at MyCrimeSpace. As it turned out she was not abducted by an anonymous MySpacer but her own uncle.

At Psycho for Love I posted a tragic story about a man from Louisiana who shot and killed his pregnant wife and tried to stage the crime scene.

At TheTrenchcoat Chronicles I posed the question should a 15-year-old multiple rapist be charged as an adult? In my mind that shouldn't even be a discussion.

And lastly at Bad Breeders I posted a story about a Utah woman who was charged a misdemeanor for leaving her infant in a hot car. How does someone forget their own child?

That's it for this week. I'm Trench Reynolds for DBKP.

Here's hoping I don't blog about you.

Trench Reynolds: DBKP This Week in Crime, June 15-21

June 15-21, 2008

Trench Reynolds
I'm Trench Reynolds.

I blog about crime.

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for June 15th-21st, 2008

At craigscrimelist there was an unusual turn of events when a Phoenix blamed craigslist for a crime that they had no part in...for once.

CrimeNe.ws has yet another format change and is providing quick links with minimal commentary to crime news stories.

At News of Doom the most horrific story of the week had to be about the cult in the Czech Republic where one of its members skinned her own child and fed the flesh to other members.

MyCrimeSpace had its own horrific story when an HIV positive man was charged with the rapes of underage girls he met through MySpace and VampireFreaks.

The headlines in my own backyard have been about the recently arrested alleged Black Widow so at Psycho for Love I posted about Betty Neumar who buried 5 husbands since the 50's.

Are you one of those people who think teens should be never charged as adults? Then you might be interested in a post I made at TheTrenchcoat Chronicles. Two teens from Minnesota are have been charged as adults in a double murder. Yet I don't hear the usual bleeding hearts coming to their defense. Is it because these kids are black?

And unfortunately I have a sad passing to report in the Trench Reynolds family of blogs. I'm shuttering Vice Tube because it just hasn't been producing content or traffic so I have to clos its doors. However don't be dismayed because I have started a brand new project that I hope will get the support of DBKP readers. The concept behind the new blog is to document people who dare to call themselves parents after the atrocities they commit on their own children. It's called Bad Breeders. On Saturday I posted a story about a couple from Mass. who would sexually abuse the woman's 8-year-old daughter and share the pictures with each other.

That's it for this week. I'm Trench Reynolds for DBKP.

Here's hoping I don't blog about you.

I'm Trench Reynolds. I blog about crime. Unfortunately I haven't done my weekly posts here at DBKP for the past three weeks.

So this is DBKP's Three Weeks in Crime.

For the sake of brevity I'm going to just post links to three stories for each website for each week. This will cover May 25th to June 14th of 2008.

craigscrimelist-The craigslist crime blotter

News of Doom- Man's inhumanity to man

At NoD we also have music and kittens and occasionally news of the Apocalypse.

MyCrimeSpace- A place for fiends

Psycho for Love- When passion leads to crime

Vice Tube- Incriminate yourself

TheTrenchcoat Chronicles- School shootings and other crimes.

That's it for the past three weeks.

For DBKP I'm Trench Reynolds.

Stay tuned later this week for my pro-wrestling report.

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for May 18th-24th, 2008

At craigscrimelist I posted about the reality of child prostitution on craigslist. No matter how much the deniers protest it is happening.

Over at CrimeNe.ws I've been keeping an eye on the Philly police beating and how the victims, who are also shooting suspects, are being supported by a pro-cop killing group and a lawyer who can't stay out of jail.

At News of Doom Florida widened its lead with a story about a woman who kept her adopted kids in cages. Stories like this always amaze me considering how hard it is for families to adopt in this country.

The story of the week at MyCrimeSpace was the one about the 17-year-old who posted nude pics of his 16-year-old ex on MySpace. He was warned by police to take them down and had a less than eloquent response.

At Psycho for Love I posted a story about the Nevada State Representative that stabbed her husband of 7 weeks because he embarrassed her in front of friends. I'm sure there's a 'slash the state budget' joke in there somewhere.

At Vice Tube I posed the question to Google on how can they censor the internet for a country of a billion people but can't prevent snuff videos from being posted to YouTube.

And lastly at TheTrenchcoat Chronicles I posted about a 33-year-old who conspired with a 16-year-old to commit mass murder and how there was child porn on the 33-year-old's computer. Was he really interested in school shootings or grooming his intended victim?

Don't forget you can follow all my blogs on Twitter or subscribe to the RSS feed

That's it for this week. Until next time I'm Trench Reynolds for DBKP. And even though Memorial Day is for military it wouldn't hurt to thank a member of law enforcement either. They keep the peace at home while our troops are fighting overseas.

May 11th-17th, 2008

I'm Trench Reynolds.

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for May 11th-17th, 2008

At craigscrimelist I received an e-mail from a reader who said that there was a possible predator in Tampa using craigslist to find his victims. craigslist is a scary place if you're not educated or have the right guide.

My favorite blurb from CrimeNe.ws this week was about another injustice of New Jersey eliminating its death penalty.

The most enraging story for the week at News of Doom was a story about a 12-year-old girl from Missouri who was trained to be a dominatrix and child prostitute. The child's 'mother' allowed a man and woman to do this.

In News of Doom scoring news the unholy triumvirate of Florida, Texas, and New York sit atop the standings. Click here to see where your state stands.

At MyCrimeSpace the story of the week was undoubtedly the federal indictment of Lori Drew. However a new video of the Victoria Lindsay beating was also released this past week.

At Psycho for Love a close friend of mine asked me to do him a favor by posting a story about a Texas woman who was beaten to death with a baseball bat by her ex-husband. The cowardly scumbag left three kids parentless. There's information for donations at the post.

Vice Tube was back on track this past week with posts about the alleged teenage rape victim her took to YouTube for telling her story. However it may not be about justice.

And lastly at TheTrenchcoat Chronicles I'd like to point out two posts I made this past week. The first one asks why do we need video to be outraged about crimes in this country? The other one is about a policeman's son who served 50 days out of a nine month sentence for plotting an attack against his school, while an innocent kid, in my opinion, served all of his sentence for the same plot. Preferential treatment? You tell me.

Don't forget you can follow all my blogs on Twitter or subscribe to the RSS feed

Trench Reynolds: DBKP This Week in Crime - May 4-10th

May 4th-10th, 2008

I'm Trench Reynolds.

I blog about crime.

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for May 4th-10th, 2008

The big news this week at craigscrimelist was about a rapist who used craigslist to find his victims. The sad twist to this one is that the rapist is alleged to have HIV.

On a lighter note from CCL check out a radio interview I did with the Canadian Broadcast Company.

My favorite short blurb at CrimeNe.ws was about the suicide of D.C. Madam Deborah Palfrey and the conspiracies that follow.

To put a damper on Mother's Day over at News of Doom was a story about a mother from Germany who is alleged to have killed three of her newborns and stored them in the freezer.

A couple of weeks ago you may remember the story I posted at MyCrimeSpace about an Australian man who was accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl. Well, he was acquitted.

At Psycho for Love the story of the week was about a spoiled rich kid from New England who was convicted of punching his girlfriend so hard he lacerated her liver. You can also read about all the people that have enabled him over the years.

And lastly at TheTrenchcoat Chronicles I called the media to task for once again trying to connect video games to school shootings and I do it without mentioning GTA IV.

I keep forgetting to mention this but now you can follow all my blogs on Twitter.

That's it for this week. Until next time I'm Trench Reynolds for DBKP, hoping your Mother's Day celebration doesn't make it to my sites.

Trench Reynolds: DBKP This Week in Crime

April 27-May 3, 2008

I'm Trench Reynolds.

I blog about crime.

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for April 27th-May 3rd

First up at craigscrimelist the so-called victimless crime of prostitution strikes again., This time in Vallejo, California where a mother-son duo pimped out a 15-year-old girl.

On an unrelated note, craigscrimelist and myself had a nice little write up in the Globe and Mail.

Over at the weekly horrorfest that is News of Doom the theme this week seemed to be scalding. We had two stories about children that were intentionally scalded.

Florida extended its lead to 12 points this week.

Then at CrimeNe.ws the conviction of Hans Reiser was discussed and why I think the conviction was correct.

The Florida videotaped teen beating is still reigning supreme over at MyCrimeSpace. This week the controversy continues with one of the teen suspect's lawyer says that their client has been overcharged.

At Psycho for Love I posted about a female teacher from Tampa who was caught having sex with a student for the third time.

ViceTube has become the new home of what I like to call the Red Forman Dumbass Award and we have two stories that illustrate that point.

And lastly at TheTrenchcoat Chronicles I posted a story that didn't get a whole lot of media coverage considering it came out of New York City. There was a hostage situation at CCNY and barely anyone outside of New York heard about it.

That's it for this week. Until next time I'm Trench Reynolds for DBKP.

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for April 20th-26th, 2008

At craigscrimelist I linked to a great article about child prostitution in the Bay Area that is being facilitated on craigslist.

Over at CrimeNe.ws the discussion of the week was about the NYPD cops that were acquitted in the shooting of Sean Bell.

At News of Doom the story of the week was about an Illinois female who killed her baby because it was cramping her nightlife.

With that story Illinois pulled into 3rd place behind Florida and Texas.

I posted a rather bizarre story at MyCrimeSpace about an Australian man who sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl he met over a social site. You have to read the post to get the full effect.

At Psycho for Love the story of the week was about the woman who duct taped her husband to death.

At ViceTube I posted my new favorite stupid criminal video.

And lastly at TheTrenchcoat Chronicles it was a busy week with not one but two school shooting plots being foiled. One in South Carolina and one where a 33-year-old man was involved.

That's it for this week. Until next time I'm Trench Reynolds.

Trench Reynolds: DBKP This Week in Crime April 6-12

April 6-12, 2008

I'm Trench Reynolds.

I blog about crime.

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for April 6th-12th, 2008

At craigscrimelist the story of the week was about what can happen when you order an 'escort' from carigslist. It can get you shot in the face.

Over at CrimeNe.ws my favorite post of the week was a column from Michael Smerconish who pints out that the Pennsylvania death penalty is a sham.

At News of Doom I Posted the story about the 2-year-old from Pennsylvania who was beaten to death with a video game controller. I focused less on the controller and more on the aabuser.

Florida is still on top.

At MyCrimeSpace the subject of the week was mainly about the 8 teens from Florida who recorded themselves beating another girl in order to post it to YouTube and MySpace. It gets even better with responses from one of the mothers and qa bailing out by Dr. Phil.

At Psycho for Love I posted about a teacher who tried to marry an underage student. But since the teacher was male he'll probably get the death penalty.

Speaking of double standards at ViceTube I posted about a beating that you'll probably never hear about.

That's it for this week. Until next time I'm Trench Reynolds.

March 23rd-29th 2008

I'm Trench Reynolds.

I blog about crime.

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for March 23-28th ,2008.

At craigscrimelist this week there was stories about houses being ransacked and babies for sale but my best post this week was about a clueless state Attorney General who has no idea how the internet works.

Over at CrimeNe.ws I posted a story about an 11-year-old who was Tasered. She had it coming.

At News of Doom there wasn't really a story of the week so I bring to you a story and a rant about safe haven laws.

ALSO at DBKP.com: Trench Reynolds: DBKP This Week in Crime

The top scorers remain unchanged from last week.

At MyCrimeSpace the catch of the week was the MySpace of one of the Virginia snipers.

At Psycho for Love we had not one but two stories about women who put their babies in danger to help their criminal boyfriends.

I started yet another new project this week in the vein of craigscrimelist and MyCrimeSpace. This time it's about stupid criminals who tend to post their acts on YouTube. My new project is called CrimeTube. The content is light right now but go on over and take a look.

And lastly at TheTrenchcoat Chronicles I go a little off topic and give my thoughts on the recent court ruling about cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal.

That's it for this week. Until next time I'm Trench Reynolds.

Trench Reynolds: DBKP This Week in Crime, March 16-22

March 16-22, 2008

I'm Trench Reynolds.

I blog about crime.

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for March 16th-22nd, 2008.

At craigscrimelist people often tell me that prostitution is a victimless crime. So I guess these kids that were prostituted weren't victims then.

It was vagina week at CrimeNe.ws as we had not one but two stories of moms trying to hide things in their mommy parts.

The story of the week at News of Doom was an obvious choice this week. It was this story out of Michigan where two alleged parents barbecued the body of their two year old to cover up his death.

Florida is still first place in the U.S. but England rules the world right now.

At MyCrimeSpace I've been posting about a rash of suicides in a Welsh town that some people have blame3d on the social site Bebo. Not the local coroner though. He's blaming it on YouTube.

At TheTrenchcoat Chronicles not only do I post about school shootings but also about extreme cases of hazing. This week I posted a story about a high school football player from Ohio who sodomized a teammate with a drinking straw.

That's it for this week. Until next time I'm Trench Reynolds.

Happy Easter and be careful out there.

Trench Reynolds: DBKP This Week in Crime

February 24th-March 1st, 2008

I'm Trench Reynolds.

I blog about crime.

This is the DBKP Week in Crime for February 24th-March 1st, 2008

At craigscrimelist I posted about one of the many downsides to being a craigslist hooker, people will not believe your rape allegations.

I've always had a fascination with mugshots that have a story behind them. So this week at CrimeNe.ws I posted not one but two mugshots of guys who obviously messed with the wrong person.

At News of Doom there were two stories of mass outrage this week. The first one was about the two teens from Ohio who beat and tortured a girl who was recovering from brain surgery. The second one was a 'mother' from New York who drowned and poisoned her kids.

New York leads the scoring right now but Texas is hot on its heels. 3-time champion Florida drops to 6th place.

This story will probably be of particular interest to readers of DBKP. AT MyCrimeSpace I recently posted that there will be no criminal charges brought against the people responsible for 'Megan Had It Coming'.

At Psycho for Love I posted that S&M sex may be hazardous to the health of Canadian women.

And lastly at TheTrenchcoat Chronicles I posted about a school shooting plot in Oklahoma that has a strange connection to a more infamous school shooting.

That's it for this week. Until next time I'm Trench Reynolds, hoping that you don't end up on my blogs.

That's it for this week.

Until next time I'm Trench Reynolds.

Stay safe.
