Josef Fritzl, the 73-yr-old Austrian father who kept his daughter as a sex-slave in a cellar prison for 24 yrs, sits in prison awaiting his daughter's video taped statement.

Doctors have advised that Elisabeth, Fritzl's daughter, who bore her father seven children after 24 years of alleged imprisonment and rape, is not ready to withstand any type of contact with her father.

According to The Mirror, Elisabeth must give a video taped statement in order for Fritzl to stand trial "as soon as possible". This type of testimony, via video, allows Elisabeth to not have to attend a trial and testify in front of her father. It was only after police assured Elisabeth that she'd "never have to face her father "again" that Elisabeth broke down and told authorities that she and three of her children had been imprisoned beneath the Fritzl family home for 24 years. Three other children were taken by Frizl upstairs and raised by him and his wife. Friztl had Elisabeth write notes claiming she was okay but that she could not care for the children who were toddlers at the time. One child died shortly after birth. Fritzl was the midwife for all 7 babies born by Elisabeth in her's cellar of horror.

Elisabeth and three of her children might never have been released if not for the illness of her 19-yr-old daughter Kerstin. For some reason Fritzl allowed Kerstin to be treated at a local hospital after she became critically ill back in Mid-April. Doctors induced a coma when Kerstin's organs began to fail. She remained in critical condition in her artificially induced sleep until June. Doctors now say Kerstin is not only awake but is up and "walking".

Doctor's had found a letter in one of Kerstin's pockets from Elisabeth imploring them to take care of her daughter. A plea was issued by the hospital for the "mother" of Kerstin to please come forward as Kerstin was critically ill. Fritzl then allowed Elisabeth to leave her 24-yr prison to travel to the hospital. It was then that the police intercepted the two. When the authorities guaranteed that
Kerstin would never have to "face" her father again she broke down and told her gruesome tale, how her father had drugged then handcuffed her then locked her into his makeshift prison cellar.

Fritzl now sits in prison awaiting charges. As soon as doctors determine Elisabeth is able to testify she will "face" her father via a TV screen as he listens to her statement.

Mauer Hospital, where 19-yr-old Kristen is undergoing treatment

New details have emerged about the father who kept his daughter locked away in a cellar-dungeon for 24 years. Details which reveal a man whose early life was dominated by the ravages of World War II and a propensity for sex crimes and who has now attracted the attention of "lovestruck" female fans.

The story of 73-yr-old Austrian Josef Fritzl, the father who locked his own daughter away in a secret cellar prison for 24 years and bore him 7 children has gripped the world. No one could fathom how a father could be so cruel and inhumane to not only imprison his own daughter beneath the family home but to also continuously rape her for a period of 24 years, to impregnate her with seven children and who also split up the children acting as an insane King Soloman. Three of the seven children were chosen by Fritzl to be deposited upstairs on the front doorstoop as toddlers with "notes" from their mother Elisabeth. The notes asked her mother and father to help raise the babies as she was "unable to". One child, a boy, died shortly after birth. Fritzl is alleged to have acted as midwife in all seven births.

All this came to light when the oldest of the seven children, 19-yr-old Kristen, became desperately ill. Fritzl allowed the girl, who had never seen the light of day, to be brought to the local hospital where she lapsed into a coma. Doctors issued a plea to have the girl's mother come to the hospital as the physicians were baffled by the girl's illness and had also found a note in one of her pockets from Elisabeth, begging the doctors to please help her daughter.

Doctors and the authorities were suspicious of Fritzl and his relationship to the desperately ill girl. For some reason Fritzl allowed Elisabeth to leave the cellar prison to go to the hospital. It was then that the story of Josef Fritzl's 24 year reign of terror began to unfold and Fritzl was arrested. Fritzl remains under arrest at Austria's Sankt Poelten prison.

Kristen has been kept in an artificially induced coma since she was brought to the hospital on April 19. Doctors have decided that her condition has improved enough to allow them to begin the "wake-up" process. The doctors are unable to estimate when Kristen will fully emerge from her artificially drug induced "sleep". Kristen's mother Elisabeth is said to be undergoing psychiatric counseling.

Josef Fritzl's past, of growing up during World War II without a father and as a young man who was a sexual predator in the 1960's have come to light.

New details have emerged in the story of the Austrian man who held his daughter captive as a sex-slave for 24 years in the family's secret cellar-prison. Police now say there are more hidden unsealed rooms yet to be investigated in Josef Fritzl's cellar-prison of horror.

According to the Daily Mail, the cops have completed an investigation of the cellar-prison rooms where Fritzl kept his daughter and three of her seven children born to him, captive. The cops claim there are even more hidden rooms that are still sealed that they plan to investigate. They also say Fritzl moved an astounding 200 tons of dirt carving out the secret cellar-prison.

Fritzl had obtained a permit from the city of Amstetten in 1978 where the Fritzl family home, a concrete villa that contained 8 flats is located. Fritzl was also given a government grant which he used to finance his "project". The government grants were given out for people who wished to build Cold-War nuclear fallout bunkers. Fritzl used the funds to build a hidden fortified bunker used to imprison his 19-yr.-old daughter Elisabeth beginning in 1984. Elisabeth was to remain in the windowless series of rooms for 24 years, bearing her father seven children, one child purportedly died shortly after death. Fritzl is accused of tossing the baby boy's body into a furnace.

Fritzl's nuclear fallout shelter was approved for a room the size of 20 square meters. According to investigators when Fritzl drugged his daughter and locked her into the secret cellar-prison in 1984 there was only one room. Elisabeth was chained up with a dog collar and leash for the first nine months.

If we had no idea who these two were then we might think to ourselves, look at this lovely couple celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2006, perhaps someone's parents or grandparents, they seem so happy. We wouldn't know that the man in the photo was a bonafide monster.

More photos and details have emerged in the story of the Austrian man who kept his daughter captive as a sex-slave in a secret cellar prison for 24 years, bearing the man seven children while 73-yr-old Josef Fritzl wants everyone to know that he is "no monster".

Fritzl made a statement today via his attorney and stated that if it weren't for him the 19-yr-old Kerstin "wouldn't be alive" and he "made sure she gets to a hospital".

Kerstin remains in an induced coma since being admitted to the hospital April 19, her critical illness a catalyst for the release of her mother and two brothers who shared the dingy cellar prison beneath the Fritzl family home.

There's no word yet as to what caused Kerstin's illness when Josef allowed her mother Elisabeth to carry her daughter upstairs. Elisabeth was then put back into the cellar prison while Josef purportedly took the girl to the hospital.

Fritzl said that he could have "killed them all" and "nothing would have come out of that". He also claimed that "No one would have ever known about it".

Father- Daughter Sex-Slave: Another Man May Have Been Involved

New details have emerged in the story of the Austrian man, Josef Fritzl, who held his own daughter as a sex-slave captive for 24 years, how another man may have been involved plus recollections of Fritzl as a sadistic bastard to his wife of 51 years, Rosemarie, of his treatment of Elisabeth as a small girl, and his behavior as a tyrant and despot to the entire Fritzl family.

While Josef Friztl is adamant that he was the only one who was involved in forcibly locking up his daughter and using her as a captive sex-slave to beat and rape her for a period of 24 years resulting in seven children, a witness has stepped forward and claimed that he met another man who was "allowed" into the forbidden cellar.

Alfred Dubanovsky, one of the Fritzl's tenants, there were eight "flats" or apartments in the Fritzl "home", claims he once met a man who was allowed to go into the cellar. Dubanovsky rented a flat that was directly overhead the hidden prison in the Fritzl basement. He claims Fritzl warned all the tenants that the cellar was wired electronically and that anyone who went into the area would be immediately thrown out of their flat.

Fritzl, who purportedly spent a majority of his "time" in the cellar, ostensibly to work on "technical drawings" of machines he sold to other companies, was known by some members of his extended family to be sadistic to his wife, Rosemarie, and a tyrant to his family of seven children and to three of the seven children borne to him by daughter Elisabeth in the family "dungeon".

The three children, ages 16, 15, and 12, were chosen when they were babies by Fritzl to be allowed to be placed on the family door stoop with a "note" written by Elisabeth, telling her family she was unable to care for the babies. The other children, ages 19, 18, and 5, lived an even meager existence, locked away in the sunless secret prison bunker, the only source of the outside world, a radio and television Fritzl had installed.

Fritzl's sister-in-law, his wife's sister, Christine "R", tells of family get-togethers where Fritzl would take "sadistic" pleasure in demeaning her sister in front of other family members, often making crude and sexual jokes in front of her plus he would also take the opportunity to "tell her off". Christine said she found his behavior offensive especially in lieu of the fact the "everyone" knew the couple hadn't had sex for years. What they didn't know was that Fritzl was "having sex" with Elisabeth, regularly beating and raping her while she was locked away in the secret cellar prison.

Government Grant Paid for Secret Dungeon

New details have emerged in the case of Josef Fritzl, the Austrian father who held his daughter captive as a sex-slave for 24 years in a secret basement prison and fathered all seven of her children. How Fritzl was able to get a government grant for thousands of pounds to finance his diabolical dungeon and how his daughter and three of her children locked in a secret room in the cellar failed to raise anyone's suspicions.

It's been reported that authorities are looking into whether Fritzl, the father of Elisabeth, the daughter he held captive, plus six other children with his wife, Rosemarie, was convicted of raping a woman back in the late sixties and served time in prison. So far the authorities haven't disavowed the information but haven't said it's true.

Another detail that has emerged is that the Fritzl family home also served as an apartment house to 8 other tenant flats. One former tenant whose flat was directly above the basement and the secret prison, a 42-year-old petrol pump attendant, said that he was "shocked" when he opened a paper and read the news of Elisabeth and her seven children, how he realized "all this awful stuff had been happening in the same house where I used to live".

The former tenant went on to state that Friztl banned his tenants from going into the basement or the back garden. Alfred Dubanovsky said that he rented the flat directly above the basement for 12 years, that he had moved out last year. He also said that Josef warned the tenants that the basement was guarded by a "sophisticated electronic alarm" and that anyone caught down there would have their lease terminated immediately.

Dubanovsky said that from his window he could look out to the back garden and that he saw Josef use a wheelbarrow to bring food to the cellar... and only at night. Another strange tidbit from Dubanovsky, a grown son of Josef and Rosemarie lived at home but was only allowed to go out one night a week.
