Threats to America

(hat tip storagemanager)

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich warned in a major speech yesterday that the United States is facing the danger of defeat today similar to Britain in the early days of World War II.

U.S. military, economic and intellectual power is eroding as threats are growing and both Republican and Democrat leaders are deficient, Mr. Gingrich said. The five "greatest strategic threats" to the country, he said, are China's rise, a resurgent autocratic Russia, radical Islam, rogue regimes seeking weapons of mass murder, and the growth of an anti-democratic system led by a "bureaucratic international elite."

The U.S. needs a grand strategy to confront and outmatch all five threats, but noted that "current American efforts are too small, too unimaginative, and too timid."
"Faced with these large, systemic challenges, the current generation of leaders in both parties are refusing to deal with the scale and the urgency required for continued American prosperity, safety, and freedom," Mr. Gingrich told the Business Executives for National Security.

Ideologically, "we find ourselves crippled by political correctness and incapable of having honest conversations about meeting the threats around the world," Mr. Gingrich said.
Recent guidelines by the Department of Homeland Security and National Counterterrorism Center instructing government officials not to use "Islamic terms" to describe terrorists is "enormously self-destructive," he said.

"If we cannot have an honest discussion about the nature of the threats against us, we cannot develop strategies to meet those threats," he said. "It is simply suicidal to treat the al Qaeda network as simply 'an illegitimate political organization, both terrorist and criminal' while ignoring the radical religious foundation underpinning this and other groups that constitute an Irreconcilable Wing of Islam. Anyone blind to this should be dismissed from working in national security.""

Thailand: Forgotten Front in the War on Terror

The Thai Taliban

Things Thailand reminds one of: The King and I, tsunamis, tourists--and battleground in the War on Terror.

If you didn't think of the last one, don't feel bad. Thailand is the "forgotten front" in the WoT. Red Planet Cartoons serves up a timely reminder of the systematic war being waged on other faiths in Thailand by the partisans of the "Religion of Peace".

"The Thai Taliban" has RPC's distinctive cartoon above, an excerpt from "Red Cross fair bombed, attacks in South increase" from the Bangkok Post, and a heapin' helpin' of informative links, with everyone weighing in on the subject from Little Green Footballs to The Jawa Report.

From the Bangkok Post:
* Militants launched a terrorist bomb attack at an annual charity event in Narathiwat province, setting off a bomb that wounded at least 12 persons, police said.

* Extremists also burnt two schools in Rueso district on Sunday night, police said, and six roadside pavilions were torched by suspected insurgents.

* A high voltage electricity transmission tower in Rangae district was blown into two pieces after a bomb was remotely detonated by a cell phone, causing a complete blackout in one village.

* In nearby Pattani province, closed circuit television captured the images of four men wearing knitted ski-masks who stormed into an automobile showroom and burned five cars in an operation that took only three minutes to complete.

Red Planet Cartoons reminds us that no matter what the other faith involved--Buddhist, Hindu, Christian--the Religion of Peace considers adherents to be living in the "House of War" and legitimate fodder for jihad.

Thailand is the latest--but surely not the last--front in, what some have labeled, World War IV.

More Saudi Student Visas: A Simple War on Terror Math Problem

Here's a simple math exercise for the nimrods in charge of the U.S. War on Terror.

ITEM:
From the Times:
Yet wealthy Saudis remain the chief financiers of worldwide terror networks. “If I could somehow snap my fingers and cut off the funding from one country, it would be Saudi Arabia,” said Stuart Levey, the US Treasury official in charge of tracking terror financing.

ITEM:
Insurgents reportedly tied to al Qaeda in Iraq considered using student visas to slip terrorists into the United States to orchestrate a new attack on American soil. ABC News, however, has learned new details of what remains a classified incident that has been dealt with at the highest levels of government.

Sources tell ABC News that the plot may have involved moving between 10 and 20 suspects believed to be affiliated with al Qaeda in Iraq into the United States with student visas.

In August, the FBI and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement alerted intelligence agencies and state and local law enforcement about 11 Egyptian students who had failed to report to their classes at Montana State University. The students were ultimately apprehended.

ITEM:
US Ambassador Ford Fraker said in Sakaka that his country aims to double the number of student visas issued to Saudis.

“Currently there are 15,000 Saudi students in the US,” he said during an event on Sunday with local business leaders to an audience at the Al-Jouf Chamber of Commerce and Industry. “We aim to increase their numbers to 30,000 over the next five years.”

If the Terroists Win: America Under Sharia Law

Beheadings, Stonings and FOX News Shut Down

The DEA Would Still Be in Business, Though

A Terrorist Caucus Would Vote Unanimously Democrat

Last October, a book which gave a glimpse of what America would look like under Islamic, or sharia, law.

It would be a much different looking country than what Americans are now used to.

It would also be a country in which those who raise their voices the loudest against the United States' fight against Islamist terrorists would be the first to feel the ire of America's new masters.

Beheadings, stonings and honor killings would be common-place if American ways weren't changed--and changed in a hurry.

"Schmoozing with Terrorists" by Aaron Klein was the number 1 book on Amazon.com about the Middle East.

Klein, an ABC reporter who was banned from Syria because of his religion, conducted a series of interviews before the book came out with leaders of various terrorist organizations.

It's extremely revealing what party and candidate the terrorists are all rooting for in the 2008 American elections.

Of the interviewed terrorist leaders, every single one of them said they hoped a Democrat becomes president in 2008.

9/11 was America's most disturbing experience with terrorists.

Before the 2006 U.S. midterm elections, Klein conducted a series of interviews with senior Middle East terrorist leaders who urged Americans to vote for Democrats. al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades leader Jihad Jaara told Klein a Democrat win would ensure victory for worldwide jihad, explaining the Democrats policy of withdrawal from Iraq would "enhance the resistance."

Klein also read to the terror leaders statements from prominent Democrats such as House minority leader Nancy Pelosi claiming a withdrawal from Iraq would end the insurgency there.

All terror leaders interviewed rejected the claim.

Islamic Jihad leader Muhammad Saadi said an American withdrawal would "prove the resistance is the most important tool and that this tool works." Jaara declared a U.S. withdrawal from Iraq would "mark the beginning of the collapse of this tyrant empire (America)."

Pelosi got in some practice wearing a headscarf

Nancy Pelosi, in particular, was much appreciated by the terrorist leaders. If the Speaker of the House continues her unauthorized diplomatic attempts in the Middle East and her anti-military votes in the House, she may well earn the plaudits of as many terrorist leaders as well as her constituents in San Francisco.

Of course, Pelosi would likely not have to worry about sharia--she wore a hijab on her visit to Syria.
In April, 2007, when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Syria and called for dialogue with Damascus against the stated recommendations of the White House, Klein conducted interviews with Mideast terror leaders whose headquarters are in Syria.

The terrorists called Pelosi's visit "brave" and "very appreciated" and said it could bring about "important changes" to America's foreign policy, including talks with "Middle East resistance groups," Iran and Iraqi insurgents.
One terror leader, Khaled Al-Batch, a militant and spokesman for Islamic Jihad, expressed hope Pelosi would one day become U.S. president, explaining the House speaker's Damascus visit demonstrated she understands the Middle East.

But assuming that Pelosi and her fellow Democrats have their way and sharia law does ever become the law of the American land, what can Americans expect?

Bars and clubs would be closed down, church bells would be banned, non-Muslims would pay special, extra taxes and Madonna and Britney Spears would be put out of their misery.

In the book, various leaders took turns describing everyday life in the U.S. if al-Qaida or other terrorist groups won the war on terror.
"Once Islam dominates, anyone living inside the Islamic state must abide by our rules. There is no choice. You will abide or face the punishment," said Muhammad Abdel-El, the spokesman and a senior leader of the Popular Resistance Committees terror organization.

Sheik Abu Saqer, a prominent Gaza-based preacher, a founder of the Sword of Islam terror group and a subscriber to the ideology of al-Qaida, explained if Islam controls the U.S., all American women, whether Muslim or not, must cover their hair.

"This is the demand of our religion. Being and walking naked doesn't mean that you are enjoying more freedom; it means that you are going against Allah's laws and you are serving the enemies of Islam who want to empty our Islamic society from its values. Uncovered heads is a form of nudity."

Yasser Hamad, a cleric and a Hamas leader in the northern West Bank, explained in "Schmoozing" Islamic law enforcers would at first try to persuade American woman to cover their heads, but eventually females would be forced. Those women who refuse may be stoned.

Asked by Klein whether stoning was too harsh a punishment, Hamad replied:
"If you don't respect the local law in America, if you don't pay taxes, if you drive on a red light, aren't there sanctions used against you by your government? Of course there are and it's okay with you. Why is there a problem when it comes to the Islamic state that wants to impose its rules?"

Sharia would likely not bother those Americans who are in the habit of proclaiming, "There ought to be a law."

There will be plenty of laws.
Hamad and other terror leaders stated all Jews and Christians living in the U.S. once Islam takes over would need to pay the jizya, a special protection tax, and other special taxes for non-Muslims, including one for the right to cultivate land. Non-Muslims cannot own land themselves.

Saqer said no new synagogues or churches can be built in the Islamic state. Existing houses of worship may remain, but services cannot be conducted loudly or in any public fashion. The ringing of church bells or blowing of the ceremonial Jewish shofar would be forbidden, the terror leaders said.
"For every sin and crime there is a sanction."

That is how Hamad explained sharia in the U.S.
"Prostitution: one hundred whippings; if the prostitute was married, he or she will be stoned until death; for a thief, his hand will be cut. But before enjoying the primitive nature of Islam and before you express how much you are shocked by our rules, I must say that these are not immediate sanctions, but they are used only if the person was warned."

Hamad explained prostitution doesn't mean selling sex; he said the Islamic definition applies the term to all extramarital sexual relations. But he boasted Islam's allowing men to marry many women was a perfect remedy for prostitution.
"In order to prevent prostitution and before reaching the sanctions of stoning or whipping, we will marry all our unmarried young. By the way, Islam allows the man to marry four women, so if he or she keeps practicing sex outside marriage and prostitution, in this case the sanctions mentioned in Quran will be used."

The terror leaders all said alcohol would be banned and American movies and television would be shut down. DEA agents would likely notice no change, as they would still be employed.

The war on drugs is one aspect of sharia law that is already implemented in America now.

"American culture is very cheap and very corrupting. Your American culture is based on capitalism, on democracy, sex, and other principles that go against the nature of human beings as Allah created. We will fight all that this culture represents and promotes," said sheik Saleh Faraj, one of the main leaders of the Islamic Liberation Party in the West Bank.

Freedom of the press in America would mean: no freedom. In the American Islamic state, the terrorists said once Islam rules the U.S., American media outlets that don't conform to disseminating Islamic messages will be closed.

They said that the NY Times, CNN and the Washington Post would all likely be banned.
"The media will be closed not because there will be no freedom but because what is the logic of allowing the activity of media that can endanger the political and social stability of our state?" said Nasser Abu Aziz, no. 2 of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group in the northern West Bank.

One thing the terrorist leaders had in common with the American Left and Media Matters is an intense dislike for the FOX News Chennel, which some called a "network of evil."

That's the terrorists' appraisal.
Abu Abdullah said, "The evil FOX encourages a lack of respect to Islam and resistance movements and will cause moral confusion and negative political influence."

There is a possibility American music may be altogether banned if Islam takes over. Saqer explained in "Schmoozing," some Islamic experts and sages, including those of the school of Egyptian scholar Sheik Yusuf al-Qaradawi, allow music; while others, like those belonging to the Islamic Salafite school, forbid music.

Multiple terror leaders had never heard of many top singers in the U.S., but Klein said they were all familiar with Madonna and Britney Spears.
"Unfortunately, I heard the names of Madonna and Spears on [Arab] television when parents complain that their children neglect their studies and their values because they are influenced by your cheap American music that you call culture," said Saqer.

Hamas's Abu Abdullah said, "At the beginning, we will try to convince Madonna and Britney Spears to follow Allah's way. But I honestly don't think they will follow. If they persist with their whoring music, we will prevent them by force. I don't think that I can be in the same place with these singers. They might be killed if they do not respect our laws."

A stoning offense

The Committee's Abdel-El, whose group previously bombed Americans, said, "Their music video clips will be forbidden and these whores Madonna and Spears will be thrown in jail until they admit they made sins and return to the moral way. If they don't, they will be stoned to death or eighty times hit with a belt."

Abdel-El said even before Islam takes over America, he would personally kill Madonna and Spears if he ran into them.

"If I meet these whores I will have the honor ? I repeat, I will have the honor to be the first one to cut the heads of Madonna and Britney Spears."

The terrorists repeatedly state that their goal is a worldwide Islamic caliphate.
"We see already in America a nucleus of Islam, a base for Islam. This will become bigger, stronger, more important, until Islam will take control and will seize the power in America and the world," said Faraj.

Abdel-El affirmed, "America will be overthrown. We are seeing more and more signs that prove that the process had already started."

So that's what America will look like if the leaders of the terrorist groups that some Americans insist do not threaten us ever come to power.

During the Cold War, there was a segment of the American political spectrum that was always advising against fighting the Soviet Communists. They blamed America for every confrontation with the Communists.

Their motto was:

"Better Red than dead."

These Americans would transition easily to sharia law.

They're many of the same ones who are counseling "submission" in the war on terror.

Sharia is all about submission.

Or you die.

Senate Bill 1959 and Unintended Consequences: Needed Terror Tool or Thought Crime Prevention Act?

The law of unintended consequences?

Back before there was a chicken in every pot, a car in every garage, or a lawyer in every speed dial, laws could be passed and common sense could prevail.

Those days are no longer.

A bill which passed the house and is now being considered in the Senate, Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act, Senate Bill 1959, is a piece of legislative mischief waiting to happen.

The overly-broad legislation is another tool in the fight against terrorism, but like all tools, could be used, as written, as a deadly weapon. A more appropriate name might be the Law of Unintended Consequences of 2007.

For conservatives and liberals alike, any legislation is likely to cause unintended consequences. What are we talking about when we say 'unintended consequences'?
For example, it is often conjectured that if the Treaty of Versailles had not imposed such harsh conditions on Germany, World War II would not have occurred. As such, war was an unintended consequence of the Treaty of Versailles.[1]
It's not often DBKP goes looking for ideological back-up on the Left, but in this case, that's where most of the outcry seems to taking place.

Of course, it's all layered with "Bush coup" and "Bush Nazi" and talk of Evil Dick Cheney, but strip away all the overblown rhetoric and political shots they can't seem to resist taking, and there is a point to be made.
More evil unintended consequences than Evil Dick Cheney

This bad bill will make for bad law.
The bill states:

‘...ideologically based violence’ means the use, planned use, or threatened use of force or violence by a group or individual to promote the group or individual’s political, religious, or social beliefs...

Note that this means the "planned use of force to promote a political or social belief" would be considered an act of terrorism. This all hinges on the definition of "force," of course. Based on the loose use of logic in Washington these days, and the slippery interpretation of the meaning of words, "force" could mean:

• A grassroots campaign to barrage Congress with faxes
• A non-violent street protest
• A letter-writing campaign that deluges the Senate with too much mail
• A sit-in protest that blocks access to a business or organization
• A grassroots e-mail campaign that overloads the e-mail servers of any government department or agency

You get the idea. "Force" could be defined as practically anything. And since the "planned use of force" would be considered a criminal act of terrorism, anyone who simply thinks about a grassroots action campaign would be engaged in terrorist acts.

If you stopped someone on the street and handed them a Bible, for example, this could be considered an act of terrorism ("...use of force to promote the individual's religious beliefs...")

If you sent a barrage of angry letters to Washington about global warming and the destruction of the environment by the U.S. military, this could also be considered an act of terrorism ("...to promote the individual's political beliefs...")

If you believe in same-sex marriage and you wrote a letter threatning a sit-in protest in front of your state's capitol building, this could also be considered an act of terrorism, even if you never carried it out! ("...planned use of force to promote a social belief...")[2]
The authors of the bill and the Bush Administration don't intend the bill to be used like the above examples.

But then, we were assured that the RICO Act would never be used against political protesters. Tell that to the National Right to Life movement. They engaged in a 17-year-long court odyssey to escape from a law that was passed in 1970 to take on organized crime.

Civil libertarians at the time of the bill's passage warned of its misuse and were pooh-poohed. Their worries would have been rightly discounted in a common sense society. Sadly, the U.S. doesn't seem to be that anymore.

The civil seizure laws, which repeatedly were trumpeted as a tool to fight "big drug dealers and cartels" also had unintended consequences. Federal and local law enforcement agencies routinely count on the money made from seized family mobile homes, farms and cars to plan their budgets now.
Police stopped 49-year-old Ethel Hylton at Houston's Hobby Airport and told her she was under arrest because a drug dog had scratched at her luggage. Agents searched her bags and strip-searched her, but they found no drugs.

They did find $39,110 in cash, money she had received from an insurance settlement and her life savings; accumulated through over 20 years of work as a hotel housekeeper and hospital janitor.

Ethel Hylton completely documented where she got the money and was never charged with a crime. But the police kept her money anyway.

Nearly four years later, she is still trying to get her money back.[3]
Advocates for civil seizure laws will point out that Ethel's case is not the norm. That's not much consolation for Ms. Hylton and others who've suffered similar fates. They are victims of unintended consequences of a poorly-written law, just as Senate Bill 1959 is poorly-written.

Some other famous unintended consequences follow.
* Most economists believe that minimum wage laws increase the unemployment rate among low wage workers.

* The stiffening of penalties for driving while intoxicated in the United States in the 1980s led, at first, to an increase in hit and run accidents, most of which were believed to have been drunken drivers trying to escape the law (Later, legislators stiffened penalties for leaving the scene of an accident when driving while intoxicated as well).

* "Prohibition", in the 1920s U.S., originally enacted to suppress the alcohol trade, drove many small-time alcohol suppliers out of business and consolidated the hold of large-scale organized crime over the illegal alcohol industry. By the time the U.S. repealed Prohibition, the brewing industry had concentrated in a few major brewers, which had been able to ride it out. Sixty years later, the "War on Drugs," intended to suppress the illegal drug trade, likewise drove many small-time drug dealers out of business and consolidated the hold of organized drug cartels over the illegal drug industry. Additionally, it has led to the existence of street drugs of unknown strength and contamination; at least some drug-related (and particularly opiate-related) deaths are the result of accidental overdosing on drugs that a dealer neglected to dilute to the usual extent.

* In CIA jargon, "blowback" describes the unintended, even undesirable consequences of covert operations. Examples include:
o Operation Ajax, which contributed to the 1979 Iranian Revolution & the Iran hostage crisis
o Covert funding of the Contras in Nicaragua, which lead to the Iran-Contra Affair
o Covert funding of the Mujahideen, which led to the rise of the Taliban

* Government rent control has led to the unintended consequence of housing shortages and reduction in housing quality, increased difficulty for less desirable renters to obtain or retain housing and even to the creation of slums—areas where owners permit rental property to run down until it becomes uninhabitable, leading renters to leave.

* The locking of aircraft cockpit doors to prevent terrorists taking control of the aircraft resulted in Helios Airways Flight 522 crashing due to the pilots' loss of oxygen and the stewards' inability to control the craft.[4]
This is not an anti-government screed: one of those would take up the better part of a week to construct and there's other, more important, work to do.

This is a call for a less-sloppy bill. Tightening the language to give the authorities a tool to fight legitimate terrorists, without non-terrorists having to worry wouldn't be so hard, would it?

If the bill's proponents can't construct the bill without using the far-reaching, vague language that is in it, then this whole bill needs to scrapped.

Cold.

Anyone who's ever had to stare down a local, let alone a federal, government agency knows the sick feeling the mere threat of prosecution brings.

Company CEOs know the feeling of being railroaded by Eliot Spitzer: pleading guilty to save the time, money and aggravation of facing a zealous prosecutor. And those CEOs had more money and assets available to them then an ordinary citizen caught up in this bill's assured future unintended consequences.

One other unsettling point was raised, though not being a peruser of Senate bills, it's hard to know whether it's valid, or more Left proof of the coming of Evil Dick.
While other government agencies, such as the Department of State, the Department of Justice, and the Department of Defense, are all referred to by their full names in Congressional documents, including this one, apparently the Department of Homeland Security is so big and so much more important than all other agencies, despite its ripe-old-age of 5 years, that now it is officially to be called the Department. No clarification will apparently be necessary any longer.[5]

The U.S. needs tools against terrorists. But it does not need tools against terrorists that have so much potential to be misused.

The Nixon Administration would never have dreamed that RICO would be used against pro-life protesters.

Just as another Republican administration never dreamed that ordinary citizens, not "large drug dealers and cartels" bear the brunt of poorly-written civil seizure laws.

This is a bad bill as written.

Terrorism is better combated with the aid of ordinary American citizens. Those citizens should be eager to help the government fight terrorists that threaten us all. The government needs tools against terrorism, not potential tools against citizens.

Mark down Senate Bill 1959, Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act, as another threat.

Suitcase Nukes:
Real Threat or Myth?

A quick look at the state of the art on suitcase nukes.

Hollywood gave up on using Nazis as movie villains a while back. Is the demise of another favorite movie threat far behind?

A reality check from KATHERINE SHRADER, AP reporting at Breitbart:
Members of Congress have warned about the dangers of suitcase nuclear weapons. Hollywood has made television shows and movies about them. Even the Federal Emergency Management Agency has alerted Americans to a threat—information the White House includes on its Web site.

But government experts and intelligence officials say such a threat gets vastly more attention than it deserves. These officials said a true suitcase nuke would be highly complex to produce, require significant upkeep and cost a small fortune.

Counterproliferation authorities do not completely rule out the possibility that these portable devices once existed. But they do not think the threat remains.

"The suitcase nuke is an exciting topic that really lends itself to movies," said Vahid Majidi, the assistant director of the FBI's Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate. "No one has been able to truly identify the existence of these devices."
Hard to believe the suitcase nuke isn't the threat it used to be. Hard to believe.

So hard, in fact, we turned to our counter-terrorism expert, Code Name: pat. What'd he have to say?
The USA actually designed and made such products as far back as 1958 or so. They are not very powerful. .20 KT And have other problems. Google Davy Crockett for a bit of background on miniature nukes.

We will not be hit by a mini nuke, but a full on 20K weapon.

So the suitcase nuke is complex and costs a fortune to put together. But terrorists have time on their hands and money, so the suitcase nuke isn't going anywhere soon.

At least in the public's imagination.

Terror Watch List Swells:

A Rorschach Test For Punditry

755,000 Names Now on List

by Mondoreb

News that the terrorist "watch list" has swelled to over 3/4 of a million names can be taken as proof of several things. It's like taking an inkblot test: what you see depends upon your point of view and your agenda.

To civil libertarians, it's proof that the police state is upon us. To the anti-government libertarian, it's evidence that government can't do anything well. To small government conservatives, it's proof that if you subsidize something, you'll get more of it.

It might make terrorists on the home front flinch. Finally, the list will be waved by anti-terror warriors that: Houston, we've got a problem. To the beleaguered air traveler, it's just more bad news with no relief in sight for long lines, irritating delays and invasive searches.

The story from USA Today:
The government's terrorist watch list has swelled to more than 755,000 names, according to a new government report that has raised worries about the list's effectiveness.

The size of the list, typically used to check people entering the country through land border crossings, airports and sea ports, has been growing by 200,000 names a year since 2004. Some lawmakers, security experts and civil rights advocates warn that it will become useless if it includes too many people.

Useless? A list maintained by a bloated government bureaucracy? That's hard to believe.

More from CNN:
A Government Accountability Office study out Wednesday said the Terrorist Screening Center's watch list contained approximately 755,000 names. But because many potential suspects have multiple names or aliases on the list, investigators are not certain how many distinct individuals are actually represented.

Officials at the Terrorist Screening Center told CNN in September that the number of individuals on the list is about 300,000.

Sen. Joe Lieberman, the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, said the "sheer size" of the list raises concerns. Lieberman, I-Connecticut, said the list contains an even higher number of records than 755,000.
So the 'watch list' will be seen as all things to all pundits. What it mostly is: a large government print-out too big to make sense of or assist; with just the right amount of government-inspired snafus to ensure that some air travelers, and few terrorists, will be caught in its web.

Metal, Rap, & Patriotism Video:

STUCK MOJO FIRES UP PASSION WITH "I'M AMERICAN"

VIDEO "I'M AMERICAN" here
[hat tip: RidesAPaleHorse]

When you're attacked by CAIR, you know your music fires up some passion.
Stuck Mojo has been the pre-eminent band in the anti-Jihadi genre. In fact, they may have invented that category. If they didn't, they certainly are the kings with such videos as "Open Season" and "I'm American.

Stuck Mojo excites love and fury, not only with their music, but with their viewpoint. The blog, Passionate America, posted a video remix of "Open Season" and was attacked by CAIR. From the original post:
On January 5th I posted a remixed video, Stuck Mojo, Open Season - CAIR remix with For The Cause Of Allah intro (video). Who could have guessed CAIR (or as I like to call them Counsel of Anti-Americanism and Islamic Retaliations) would scream ISLAMOPHOBIA and attack Stuck Mojo?
This was covered by, among others, Little Green Footballs. At any rate, about three months ago, Mojo re-surfaced on YouTube with the above video and reaction was split down the middle: it received 321 comments, 160 of them favoring the video.

We favor the Mojo men ourselves and though the video's been out a few months,( diggs only had one story I could find in their search about it, that one being the YouTube release)it's certainly relevant today.

Enjoy the video. Enjoy it for the message if you're on the Right. Enjoy it for the best metal-rap combination since Zac De Le Roca and Rage Against the Machine was shilling for trendy liberal causes if you're on the Left.

I'm American
Music: Ward
Lyrics: Nelson, Ward
I'm an American related to all colors of brethren, Priests and Pastors and Prophets and Reverends, Divided we fall united we stand together man, In this cultural melting pot there's nothing better than, This land of the free and the home of the brave, Populated by ancestors of immigrants and slaves who met early graves So we could see brighter days and we could proudly praise and raise the stars and stripes as Americans

Hate me
Blame me
You can't shame me
Come and stand with me
I'm American

I'm an American born in these states united, Where racial discrimination keeps us so divided, But we've got free speech so I won't be quiet, We got a lot of problems here man I won't deny it, But ain't another place that I'd rather be, Than in this land of great opportunity, Where we can be anything that we wanna be, So until the day I D-I-E, I stand tall as an American

Iran Names CIA "Terrorist Organization"

A NEW PLAYER IN THE WAR on TERROR

by Mondoreb

The Terrorist Designation market is getting crowded. With its economy in shambles, Iran has sought to muscle it's way into a domain usually reserved for the United States, the country which had 3000 of its citizens murdered in one incident. From the AP
TEHRAN, Iran (AP) - Iran's parliament on Saturday approved a nonbinding resolution labeling the CIA and the U.S. Army "terrorist organizations," in apparent response to a Senate resolution seeking to give a similar designation to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The hard-line dominated parliament cited U.S. involvement in dropping nuclear bombs in Japan in World War II, using depleted uranium munitions in the Balkans, Afghanistan and Iraq, supporting the killings of Palestinians by Israel, bombing and killing Iraqi civilians, and torturing terror suspects in prisons.
Iran's parliment, taking their cue from TheDailyKOS and the American Left, is interested in scrutinizing past American history through the eyes of the present and condemning the United States.
"The aggressor U.S. Army and the Central Intelligence Agency are terrorists and also nurture terror," said a statement by the 215 lawmakers who signed the resolution at an open session of the Iranian parliament. The session was broadcast live on state-run radio.
It isn't known yet Iran's position on the storming of another country's embassy, taking foreign diplomats hostage, threatening nuclear annihilation and advocating extermination of particular religious groups. A good guess would be that no statements on these activites are planned.

SAUDIS FUNDING WAR ON AMERICA

The Funding of Radical Islam in the USA

by Mondoreb

Jihad! Death to the Infidel! Terror! Islamist Madness!

Now playing at a mosque near you!

To all those who followed this summer's New York maddrassa story, the radical nature of the curriculum to be taught there to US students came as no surprise. Teaching children that America is the "infidel" has been going on in the United States for some time. And to a large extent, the US has been financing the call for it's own destruction.
Of the more than 1,200 mosques in America, more than 80 percent have been built within the last 20 years – thanks in large part to Saudi money, according to Reza F. Safa, author of "Inside Islam."

"Saudi Arabia alone has spent $87 billion since 1973 to spread Islam throughout the United States and the Western hemisphere," Safa said.
US-Saudi Oil Imports Funds American Mosques

Saudi was home to 15 of the 19 Sept. 11 hijackers, as well as their leader, Osama bin Laden. And it has been a reluctant ally in America's war on terror. Now federal authorities are investigating whether Saudi laundered money to Islamic terrorist groups through U.S.-based Muslim charities. Some 80 groups have recently received subpoenas for financial records.

Now, this is may not be new to some, but it would shock the millions who depend upon the MSM to deliver their news. If the KKK or Neo-Nazis had attempted to set up schools and centers delivering the poisonous messages coming out of American mosques, CBS Evening News would have had Katie chasing the culprits, while the New York Times would have had it on page one everyday for the last 4 years.

Of course, the NYT was convinced the city's madrassa was benign. Everyone there knows that it's Christianity that's the real menace to domestic tranquility. Since it's only Radical Islam, CBS would make sure that Katie was in a burqua when she reported.

THE WAR ON TERROR IS NO DIFFERENT-There Are Always Those Who Look The Other Way While Evil Takes Place

by Mondoreb

The good folks at Red Planet sadly remind us that as long as there is evil in the world there will be those who choose to ignore it. The War on Terror is no different.

The jihadis weren't the first to have their apologists; when America was fighting for it's life during World War II, the Nazis also had their champions in the U.S., most notably Joe Kennedy and Charles Lindhbergh.
Leading up to World War II, Dr. Seuss ripped the America First isolationist/anti-war movement almost daily. It would be interesting to see what kinds of cartoons Dr. Seuss would be turning out if he were still with us today.

As for Dr. Seuss’ original caption: “We always were suckers for ridiculous hats.” This might have been the earliest known sighting of a moonbat hat.

If Dr. Seuss were alive today, liberals in particular and the Harry Reid/Nancy Pelosi crew would already have cranked up the Great Progressive Smear Machine.

It's better that the beloved Doctor is peacefully in repose.

OTHER COUNTRIES ARE WATCHING US: It's A Global War on Terror Not A U.S. Crime Problem

by Mondoreb

MEMO TO: Congressional hand-wringers, consciensious objectors in the War on Terror, and judiciary buffoons.
COPY TO: Democratic National Committee.

What happens in America doesn't stay in America.

Other countries watch what we do--closely. In their own battles with jihadis, other countries look to the U.S. for leadership: not France, not Germany, not China.

The following story, from today's Manila Standard Today, reminds us that the War on Terror is worldwide. The Filipinos are at war. The country is actively fighting real battles and losing citizens daily to Muslim extremists. They are very interested in what happens in the U.S. concerning the War on Terror.
SAN JOSE, California—A federal judge is considering whether to grant bail to a California man who is accused of having ties to a terrorist group in southeast Asia that has been associated with Al Qaida.

Federal prosecutors have opposed granting bail to Rahmat Abdhir, arguing that he poses a “danger to the community,” even though that community is 12,000 kilometers away. They have asked a judge to keep him in a San Jose prison pending trial.

Other countries surely are dismayed and puzzled about what they perceive to be a "catch-and-release" policy that puts terrorists back in play.

Terrorists murder Filipinos every day. When an ally catches one, they breathe a little easier. When the U.S. releases one, they have to be shaking their heads.
US District Judge Jeremy Fogel said he would decide next week whether to release Abdhir on bail. Abdhir, 43, a US citizen of Malaysian descent, is accused of sending more than $10,000 and military gear to his brother, who is believed to be a high-ranking member of Jemaah Islamiyah, Al Qaida’s regional affiliate in Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.

Authorities allege the brothers helped support the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, a separatist group fighting for autonomy for Muslims in the southern Philippines. The US government says the front has ties to Jemaah Islamiyah.

A quick search turns up former Gitmo detainees, released by the U.S. that have been detained, re-captured or killed in Pakistan, Denmark, Sweden, and Afghanistan.

When a terrorist is granted bail, flees and skips the country, he usually doesn't wind up jihad-free, sipping a Jack and Coke and comtemplating life on a white-sand beach somewhere. He turns up in another country and his kill-the-infidel ways are not likely mended.

He might even return to the Phillipines to murder an American ally's people.

War on Terror: It's Because of Them

by ornery elephant

In a war weary America, you can hear the moonbatters rant about conspiracies that put the U.S. in the Iraq War, but even in the Heartland of America, at the local diner with red and white checked tablecloth draped booths, you’ll hear some people ask, “Why are we in this mess?”

Well, today…right here, I’d like to propose that we are there in Iraq and we are in Afghanistan and we are in Pakistan because of “them.” Yes, because of them.

“Them”

“Because the first thing that I really wanted to do after, not even leaving Pakistan because I also met with President Musharraf, is tell the world you know these people, these handful of people I was telling you about is fighting the war on behalf of all of us, because this is, you know, I think an international war - international network of terrorists - with nothing. So I did that. “
Mariane Pearl, wife of executed journalist Daniel Pearl

“I as a parent turn to the parents and ask them to guard their children, and certainly this request is especially meant for parents living in the West Bank."
Noam Shalit, father of kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit

Petraeus Report: The Only War Democrats are Willing to Fight

by LITTLE BABY GINN and MONDOREB

The Left's usual, reliable poodles are yapping again. This time, they're nipping at the heels of the upcoming report by General Petraeus on the situation in Iraq.

Fueled by this MoveOn.org ad in the New York Times this morning, the LA Times, Yahoo News, and like-minded MSM toadies, the 'surrender drums' are beating louder for a US defeat in Iraq, by any means necessary. It's a steady, unrelenting, unyielding, never-ending 'BOOM, BOOM, BOOM' from Leftards desperately needing, yearning, aching for a US defeat--any US defeat. They would support another invasion of Viet Nam if they were assured that US troops would die and we would run away.

If a US defeat might be possible, Harry Reid couldn't be pried away from it with a truckload of earmarks. On Friday, The Pride of the Democratic Party weighed in on General Patraeus:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid got personal, questioning Petraeus' credibility:
"He's made a number of statements over the years that have not proved to be factual," Reid said. "I have every belief that this good man, General Petraeus, will give us what he feels is the right thing to do in the report that is now not his report. It's President Bush's report."

So, a senator who bankrolls half his family on US Senate Pork, paid for by US taxpayers, is pronouncing moral judgements on a military man who's risked his life so that Reid can throw one more syncophantic log on his payroll fire? Am I the only one that thinks this is Democratic Buffoonery at it's most absurd?
Reid hungers for defeat as a crack whore hungers for a $10 trick. It's disgusting to watch. Even more so, it's a certainty that Reid the Meek would be leading the Democratic Whine Brigades should another terror attack hits the US.

He'll primp and skip in front of the cameras. "Why didn't we do more", he'll demand in front of the Running Dog Media. And the Peace Movement will march in support of anything they hope will defeat America: the country that's made it possible for them to march--thus giving meaning to otherwise unfulfilled, meaningless lives.

I expect the goofy, aimless Peace Movement to do their thing during times of war. Without the War in Iraq, they'd be nailing themselves to trees or hunger-striking for 'Rainforest Whales', or agonizing over whether they should have the mocha or the double latte.

And I expect MoveOn.org to attack America: it's what they do. If I were a billionaire, ala George Soros, I'd probably seek meaning to my life, too.

But to the men and women in the US Senate and Congress: laboring at comforting America's enemies in a time of war; slandering those who risk their lives defending this country; sacrificing the defense of the USA for partisan gain; to you I say:

"A particularly hot place in the inner ring of Hell eagerly awaits your wretched demise."
