Mainstream Media and Socialism: The Education of John Q. Public

Leftist decry "socialist" as code for Black
Consevative Punk

The "Racist" Meme Continues

They're reaching on the "code word" smear more and more. You knew it was only going to be a matter of time until some schmuck said that "socialist" is code word for Black. Well, the wait is over. This from The Star in Kansas City:
The "socialist" label that Sen. John McCain and his GOP presidential running mate Sarah Palin are trying to attach to Sen. Barack Obama actually has long and very ugly historical roots.

J. Edgar Hoover, director of the FBI from 1924 to 1972, used the term liberally to describe African Americans who spent their lives fighting for equality.

Those freedom fighters included the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., who led the Civil Rights Movement; W.E.B. Du Bois, who in 1909 helped found the NAACP which is still the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization; Paul Robeson, a famous singer, actor and political activist who in the 1930s became involved in national and international movements for better labor relations, peace and racial justice; and A. Philip Randolph, who founded and was the longtime head of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters and a leading advocate for civil rights for African Americans.
This most laughable aspect of this charge, is that author Lewis Diuguid expects us to believe that something like J. Edgar Hoover's use of the word socialist to describe blacks is somehow fresh in the minds of Americans, leading it to be the natural connection we make when we hear the word. Not to mention that W.E.B. Du Bois was in fact a socialist.

Bravo on being the first to the bottom Mr. Diuguid.

Obama, Democrats and the Bubba Vote

Obama and the Undecided "Bubba" Vote
Faultlines USA

Democrats haven’t won a majority of whites since 1964. The party leadership is worried that Obama can’t win if he doesn’t improve Democrats’ appeal to the white working class. Is the term “Bubba” helping or hurting Obama?

The “Bubba Vote,” a derogatory term that has replaced “Rednecks,” has come to mean rural, white, working class voters. Today these Bubbas are quite undecided and up for grabs.

Early in September former House majority leader Dick Armey, a Republican, made a statement in an interview with USA TODAY concerning these undecided white voters.

"The Bubba vote is there, and it's very real, and it is everywhere," Armey told USA TODAY and Gannett News Service. "There's an awful lot of people in America, bless their heart, who simply are not emotionally prepared to vote for a black man."

According to a recent AP-Yahoo News poll conducted Sept. 5-15, “18 percent of likely voters are up for grabs — undecided or willing to change their minds . . .” Many of the undecided are experiencing economic woes and consider the economy their top issue, and they are less intensely behind Obama than McCain.

Among these undecided voters, Democrats are much less intensely behind Obama than Republicans are behind McCain. Obama appears to have more people on the bubble, and many of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's former backers haven't fully committed, while McCain's backers are hard-core Republicans and excited by his running mate selection of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. . . .

A report recently completed by the Democratic Leadership Council argues that “it will be difficult for Obama to earn enough African American and youth support to compensate for enduring Democratic failures with white voters.”

Democrats have not won a majority of whites since 1964. Since 1980 though, Democrats have struggled to even remain competitive among whites, particularly men, and that has allowed Republicans to dominate the last quarter century of presidential politics. . . The report strongly suggests, however, that it will be difficult for the Obama campaign to win if he does not improve Democrats’ appeal to the white working class.

The questionable term, “Bubba voters,” seems to have caught on especially with Obama supporters and African-American columnists and bloggers.

An article Monday, Obama and 'the Bubba Vote', was posted in OpEDNews. It was written by Mumia Abu-Jamal (AKA: Wesley Cook) Former Black Panther Party activist, Abu-Jamal, was convicted and sentenced to death for the 1981 murder of police officer Daniel Faulkner.)

. . .If this Bubba vote has kept Obama from bouncing after a successful convention, McCain's Palin pick has compounded this problem.

For it demonstrates that all the hue and cry over 'experience' was but a smokescreen for something else. It shows us that all the clamor over 'qualifications; was naught but pretext.
For after all is said and done, for millions of Americans, Barack Obama's blackness has made him automatically ineligible for election.

That's not issues; that's not views, that's not politics; that's race. Period. . .

What else is being said about support or the lack thereof for Obama among undecided Bubbas?

St. Petersburg Times: Fabricating Racism to Fit Story?

Media Caught Fabricating White Racists?
by Barbara Sowell
Faultlines USA

A quote attributed to Sandra Cichon, a private citizen, is spreading across the internet as a living example of White Racism. Did a reporter put words in this woman’s mouth?

An article in the St. Petersberg Times, quotes Cichon as having said, “I can't imagine having a black president . . .”

In a phone interview Saturday, Sandra Cichon of Spring Hill, Florida denied that she ever spoke with any pollster or reporter concerning Obama or about anything regarding race. Cichon was taken by surprise when phoned by this reporter, and she was not aware that she had been quoted in any newspaper.

The September 15, 2008 article Black ‘issue’ hangs over presidential polls by Adam Smith of the St. Petersburg Times Political states:

A pollster calling Sandra Cichon, a 60-year-old Democrat from Spring Hill, would hear her identify herself as an undecided voter. But is she really?

"I can't imagine having a black president, and I think he's inexperienced," she told a reporter recently, eventually acknowledging she was leaning unenthusiastically toward McCain. "I don't think we (Democrats) have a chance to be in the White House with Obama."

Many analysts wonder how many voters answering polls hide their racial biases or mislead survey-takers about their real preferences.

The article fails to name the pollster who claimed to have called Cichon. When asked during my phone interview, Cichon denied speaking to any pollster on the phone.

Cichon explained that the only time she spoke with a reporter was in August when she went to vote in the county commission races. She said that he (the reporter) seemed nice and she gave him a catalogue for gift baskets.

Cichon is quoted in an August 27, 2008 article in the St. Petersburg Times, Russell, Mitchell, Hackworth win congressional primaries, by Rita Farlow, Stephanie Garry and John Frank, Times Staff Writers.

Many Democratic voters said they were unimpressed with the quality of the candidates.

"I don't know one from the other," said Sandra Cichon of Spring Hill.

Sandra Cichon shows up in another August 27, 2008 St. Petersburg Times article Dismal voter turnout in Hernando by Barbara Behrendt and John Frank. Times staff writer, John Frank, was a reporter on both August 27th articles.

The response from the St. Petersburg Times was usual, non-denial denial.

Sarah Palin, Barack Obama: Feminism, Racism, the MSM

Obama, Palin's Nomination:
Losing Clout - Feminism, Racism, the Mainstream Media

Liberal Meltdown
Nancy Morgan
RightBias.com
September 8, 2008

In a delicious stroke of cosmic justice, it seems that the left, not the earth, is in meltdown stage. The sacred pillars of liberal orthodoxy are in the process of losing their underpinnings and it is not a pretty sight.

With the nomination of Barack and Sarah, three major industries and shibboleths of the left, feminism, racism and the media are losing their clout, big time.

The feminists who have preached against the 'social construct' of male patriarchy and female victimhood have achieved their stated goal, and they're furious. After 40 years, the feminist mantra that a woman can and should have it all, has come to fruition in Sarah Palin.

There's only one small problem. Palin doesn't buy into the feminist line. As Peggy Noonan so aptly put it, "she is a feminist not in the Yale Gender Studies sense but the How Do I Reload This Thang way." When feminists see Sarah Palin, they see a woman. When conservatives see Palin, they see a conservative. Who'se sexist?

Feminists are furiously backtracking on one of their core tenets, questioning whether Sarah Palin has the ability to juggle home and job. Instead of applauding a woman who has it all, they instead question whether she will have time to be VP, what with her family and all. Liberal feminist Whoopi Goldberg got it right when she described Sarah Palin as "a dangerous woman."

The Jacksons and Sharptons of the world who have spent their lives preaching racism are also in melt down stage. With the nomination of Obama, racism is in the process of becoming a hard sell, even the silent 'institutional racism' that has been in vogue these last few years. How will the race hustlers raise funds without genuine victims? How will blacks retain their hard won political power, which is based largely on white guilt? Who will pay for black oppression if there isn't any?

The presidential race of 2008 will go down in history as a turning point - as the pivotal event that exposed the shallowness of liberal policies, institutions and people. A mere 5 months ago, the liberals were on the brink of victory. And now...

Now, it appears that not only are the masses not buying what the left is selling, but have instead shown their stubborn allegiance to traditional values and God, as embodied so well by Gov. Palin. This, despite the herculean efforts by another liberal institution, the media.

The same media, which a study showed to have been the decisive factor in Obama's nomination, is now having to report that Palin is more popular than both McCain and Obama.

Unable to believe they've been on the wrong side of history, the media is lashing out in ever more frivolous and blatant attempts to smear Gov. Palin and prop up Obama. Only this time, they're encountering a backlash.

US Weekly Magazine is losing subscribers due to the vicious smear piece recently published about Palin. A new website has even been launched to organize a boycott of US Weekly and their advertisers. Adding insult to injury, Rasmussen reported a whopping 51% of American women believe the media is trying to hurt Sarah Palin and 24% say those stories make them more likely to vote for McCain.

More surprisingly, hundreds of small town residents in a small town outside Milwaukee "taunted reporters and TV crews travelling with Sen. John McCain on Friday, chanting "Be fair!" and pointing fingers at a pack of journalists as they booed loudly." Even Oprah is experiencing a backlash for refusing to have Palin on her show until after the election.

The media, like the rest of the liberal world, can't comprehend what is happening. The conservative, traditional worldview they thought they had thoroughly invalidated is rearing its ugly head and they can't understand, much less control, it.

Obama's nomination goes a long way towards discrediting the racism canard. And Gov. Sarah Palin shows that the American dream is available without help from either government or the self-anointed elites. She shows that faith in God is more powerful than faith in man. She shows that sexism and racism are indeed constructs, but artificial constructs designed not by old white men, but by liberal utopians - designed to achieve money and power, not liberation.

The times, they are a changin', but not in the way the left envisioned. The rules are changing as we speak. Because the liberal elites have consistently shown they are incapable of adjusting their world-views to include conservatives, I predict this will be the death of them.

I'm smiling.

New Hampshire Polling Problems

You Racist Bastards!

It turns out that the polling information about the New Hampshire primary was not wrong. It was the voters who were wrong. It wasn't flawed methodologies or undecided voters, it was racism. You see, whenever the polling turns out to be wrong, it is inevitably the fault of racist pigs. And we all know how racist New Hampshire is.

Please don't get confused. It wasn't racism when the polls got it wrong in 2004. That was just everyone's super duper love for Commander Guy. And it wasn't racism in 2006. That was everyone just voting for a change--albeit a confused, drug-induced vote for change.

But in New Hampshire, it was racism, pure and simple. What evidence do I have other than Chris Matthews' man crushes and rants? Well, let's just take a look at the facts.

New Hampshire is almost 97% white.
Only 1% of New Hampshire is Jewish.
New Hampshire is home to the White Mountains.
The capital of New Hampshire is Concord. The Concorde was a white jet.
The largest city in New Hampshire is Manchester. Melissa Manchester is a white singer.
The highest point in New Hampshire is Mt. Washington. Washington owned slaves.
The McDonald's brothers were from New Hampshire. Black people love McDonalds. They get fat and die. McDonald's hates black people.

The evidence is overwhelming. Barack Obama lost in New Hampshire not because 20% of the electorate was undecided, but because those cross-burning, black-hating, lynching-loving bastards of New Hampshire couldn't bring themselves to vote for a Negro.

I hope you're proud of yourself, New Hampshire!
