DBKP to Ask FBI to Probe Threats on CAIR Hate Site

Death by 1000 Papercuts (DBKP) will ask the Washington office of the FBI tomorrow to investigate apparent threats against Israel posted on an anti-LGF Internet hate site.

DBKP is going to ask the FBI to probe what it sees is a terrorist group posing as a front organization and the threat they pose to both America and Israel.

"They're like a pack of rabid dogs," said DBKP editor Mondoreb, "If you saw a pack of wild rabid dogs filing suits and threatening people, you'd call the FBI too."

"DBKP will call the FBI PDQ on CAIR about LGF."

Mondo continued: "Just today on the CAIR website, one of the lead stories was about CAIR delivering 12,000 letters to Congress "calling for an end to Israel."

"CAIR is or was populated with convicted or unindicted terrorists," said DBKP's RidesAPaleHorse.

"We think having terrorist connections is a sign of hate."



From today's CAIR website:

CAIR said today it has collected and is delivering to Congress more than 12,000 letters calling for an end to Israel's "collective punishment" of Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.

The DBKP threat to call the FBI came as a response to CAIR's calls to the FBI to investigate what CAIR felt were threatening comments on anti-Jihad website, Little Green Footballs.

Ginn: You can't mess around with these CAIR guys"

"We were immediately going to contact the FBI when we saw the CAIR press release, but then we figured, the FBI has already investigated them and found connections to terrorists," said DBKP's Ginn.

"What's good's another call today? The FBI's probably already a ton of surveillance on CAIR already and another ton would just be overkill."

"So we'll call tomorrow."



Mondo continued that it was not only the CAIR website that prompted DBKP's action: an Internet photo that showed CAIR officials also had DBKP staff worried.

They (CAIR) "appeared foreign-looking in some pictures."

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today asked the St. Louis, Mo., office of the FBI to investigate apparent threats against a local mosque posted on an anti-Muslim Internet hate site.

Because of similar bias-related incidents and lawsuits by CAIR nationwide, DBKP is urging conservative individuals and institutions to review security procedures using advice contained in its "Conservative Community Safety Kit."

The kit should be ready for "worldwide Internet distribution later this week", commented Ginn.

"We're treating this CAIR business like a serious threat."

"This whole CAIR thing just creeps me out."

Breaking Non-Story: "If Israel Withdraws From the West Bank, Hamas Will Seize it"

No real news to write about? No problem.

If you're the creative type, you play a game of 'what if' and get someone to comment on it. The result: hot copy ready to serve up to readers.

That's a recipe used to put together the following story. Reporter A has to write about something, but instead starts day-dreaming. What if they put on a peace conference and something concrete came out of it. What if Israel would decide to withdraw from the West Bank? What if...well you get the story.

And so did Report A, who dug up a quote from a ranking Hamas official to comment on the scenario. There were no surpises: the Hamas leader said, in effect, "You leave, we move in". More of the usual in the Middle East from Yahoo News:

A top Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip warned on Friday that the Islamist movement would seize control of the West Bank if Israel withdrew from the occupied territory.

"Israel says the party in power in Ramallah (Fatah) serves its interests and if Israel withdraws from the West Bank, Hamas will take control. That's true," Mahmud Zahar told a party rally in Jabaliya, in the northern Gaza Strip.

He called on Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas's Fatah party to "learn the lesson of what happened in Gaza" -- where nearly five months ago Hamas routed the moderate leader's loyalists and security officers in the coastal enclave.

Zahar also said an international meeting on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that the United States is preparing to host later this month would fail.

Here’s an alternative opinion from Hamas on the upcoming Annapolis “peace conference” between Israel and the Fatah party, at which Israeli PM Olmert seems determined to make serious concessions on the issue of withdrawing settlements in the West Bank: Hamas says it will seize West Bank if Israel withdraws.

This was a story that had to written--on a slow news day. As a slow news day in the Middle East usually means a day without a bomb blast and death, so that's not a bad thing.

This story could have just as easily been filed under "science" with the headline, "Nature Abhors a Vaccuum".

Atlas was good enough to include Little Green Footballs' objections to VB:

(1) that the party abstained in the European Parliament from approving the above mentioned Holocaust resolution;
(2) that early this month the party organized a “white supremacist” demonstration;
(3) that Nazi skinheads applaud the party;
(4) that neo-Nazis link to VB videos.

DBKP's take at this point: There are always going to be fringe elements in any group. It's important, after all the accommodations Europeans have made with Islam and immigrants' refusals to assimilate into European societies, to make a stand for Dutch and European culture somewhere along the line.

Because of some objectionable people, the Dutch people should be applauded for raising the question, even at this late hour. With Dutch emigration rising, it's important for assimilation to be stressed now. Whether there are those who take advantage of this concern for their own ends is largely immaterial to the larger debate.

Charles Johnson's been labeled a "Nazi", and worse, the Left countless times. It hasn't dampened his enthusiasm for spreading the truth of the jihadis or their apologists at LGF. No one should shut up because they're called "Nazi".

Either in The Netherlands or the United States.

From Little Green Footballs, known for its unending efforts at exposing the dangers the world faces from Islamists and Political Correctness comes a shocking story from Michigan State University. Usually under attack from the Kook Left, LGF now comes under fire from the Kook Right. The exposure of the conservative student group, Young Americans for Freedom, and their ties to Holocaust Denier and racist, British National Party leader, Nick Griffin.

LGF had looked into the “invitation” given out to Griffin to come and speak about the dangers of Islam at Michigan State University on October 26th. LGF quite correctly pointed out that the head of the YAF, Kyle Bristow had made a huge mistake in inviting Griffin.

Charles Johnson of LGF:

“If this was another case of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend,” it couldn’t possibly be more misguided. From the statement by Kyle Bristow, it’s clear that the YAF (not related to Jason Mattera’s group, the Young America’s Foundation) knew exactly who Griffin was when they invited him.
The YAF should apologize for this, and renounce any associations with the BNP or Griffin. It’s an indefensible move, and a gigantic mistake. Do the right thing, and distance yourselves now while you can still control the damage.”

One of the long time posters at LGF had sent a concerned email to Bristow and was quite stunned at his reply.

Another commenter at LGF was able to post a link to blog, Spartan Spectator, to post the “Nick Griffin Post-Event Press Release From YAF”:

The “press release,” written by Kyle Bristow was melodramatic and later disputed by others who were there

East Lansing, Mich. – Nick Griffin, the chairman of the British National Party, did not receive a pleasant welcome during his visit to Michigan State University on Friday. Countered by a mob of extremists, Griffin continually faced loud remarks and booing during his two-hour speech at the university.

After protesters disrupted America’s pledge of allegiance, Griffin constantly dealt with loud accusations of racism, baby killing and hatred. Throughout the event, Griffin was ignored and all questions relating to mass immigration were immediately shouted down and screamed upon. YAF chairman Kyle Bristow stated that he “was amazed at the level of savagery that occurred at a so-called institution of higher learning.” Video footage of the event is available upon request.

Upon exiting the building, YAF members were chased by a mob of extremists carrying baseball bats, canes and sticks. The mob shouted “let’s get them” as the YAF members ran towards safety.

Police reports have been filed and YAF is working with authorities; although the police have been little help in the past; Bristow hopes that Michigan State will stand up for free speech and civility on its campus.

The posters at LGF were quick to condemn Bristow’s use of a known racist and Holocaust denier such as Nick Griffin in the ongoing war against Islamism. Another LGF poster supplied a link to the blog, Michigan Messenger who had the Liveblog report from the Nick Griffin speech. It was reported that Griffin was flanked by white supremacist, Preston Wiginton.

"I have in the past said very rude things about the holocaust," Griffin said. "I have never denied it, and I do not doubt so many Jews were killed by the Nazis and the Allies."

"You seek to deny the white people of the world the right to collect in their own community and self determinations; then you are a racist," Griffin said.

Appalled that a so-called Conservative Student group such as the YAF would embrace the likes of someone such as Griffin the commenters at LGF lambasted the group and its leader, Kyle Bristow. One such comment from LGF:

“On the bright side, experiencing something like this contains the possibility of leading some of us to a crystalline insight on the importance of value systems in politics, the dangers of leftist totalitarianism, and the need to stand up to the jihadists in the right way without having people go off to bizarre, hateful ideologies. It can help us to see with perfect mental clarity that we must actively work to build good movements, political organizations, and to deal with issues openly and rationally; we cannot let happen what we are seeing in European countries.”

The reaction from Bristow was swift. From his “Spartan Spectator” blog:

LGF = Traitors to Western Civilization, along with a male figure swinging a sledge hammer at the Little Green Football, then the words, “Smash Left-Wing Scum!!!

Not content with this little display another post of vitriol was added by Bristow.

MSU-YAF Denounces Little Green Footballs for Being Prissy RINOs

The Little Green Footballs blog decided to condemn MSU-YAF for hosting Nick Griffin. In case you do not read Little Green Footballs, the blog is pro-Muslim, left-wing, politically correct, and basically a front for neoconservative foreign policy (instead of defending their culture, they want to build schools in the Anbar province). They are basically a puppet of the multiculturalists and believe that Islam is not the enemy of Western civilization and Christendom. Only Bush-bots read the Little Green Footballs blog.

Bristow obviously had forgotten that LGF has a long-standing reputation of being just the opposite of what he had previously described.

Instead of writing about threats to Western civilization, the LGF blog has recently attacked organizations who are fighting the culture war by doing more than just posting stuff on a blog that only like-minded people read.

Many of the comments on the LGF blog are critical of Pat Buchanan, Ron Paul, and paleoconservatism. If you are not a big government, globalist, middle-class-hating, promoter of economic treason, then LGF doesn't like you.

LGF and Al Qaeda both have something in common: they hate Western civilization and those who stand up for it.

Mr. Bristow tarred LGF with accusations that the blog is “big government, globalist, middle class hating, promoter of economic treason,” in short, evidently what Bristow could come up with for insults at such short notice. Bristow threw a little “far right wing extremist” temper tantrum when exposed by LGF as a kiss up and promoter of Neo-Nazis and Holocaust Deniers under the guise of exposing “Islamo-fascism.”

This is not a case of “Strange Bedfellows” between Bristow, the YAF, and LGF. Charles Johnson, the creator and force behind LGF has proven that there is no room for the likes of someone as vile as Neo-Nazis in the current war on Terror, nor will there ever be.

[Although some vague references were made about the Ron Paul campaign, one has to wonder if Paul is even aware of this. He's probably, as this is being typed, in bed at a Holiday Inn somewhere, dreaming sweet dreams of abolishing the IRS. So DBKP won't speculate.]

UPDATE [335 am 102807]: It's not everyday that LGF gets branded as "Left Wing SCUM". I'm sure The New York Times, The DailyKOS and Huffington post are wondering about what it takes for real Left Wingers to get noticed.

LGF now resides in that rarest of Internet worlds: where the Left Wing SCUM shall lay down with the knuckle-dragging Neo-Nazis.

Here’s a look into the squirmy, ugly mind of Ted Rall, whose latest cartoon about US troops in Iraq says: “Only idiots signed up; only idiots died. Back home, the average I.Q. soared.”

It's a media conceit these days that people in the press are too smart to join the Armed Forces, too smart to fight for their country, too smart to believe in anything more than whatever it takes to churn out 3rd-rate cartoon strips.

Ted Rall and John Kerry both got drunk one night and probably told each other the same joke about how anyone willing to enlist was an idiot. John Kerry retold that joke; Ted Rall must not have heard it wasn't very funny the first time.

500 years from now, if the US is a intellectual Utopia of creativity and pragmatism is if Ted Rall is unable to get lucky next time he gets drunk.

Calvan & Media Arrogance Squared: Lima's Beautiful, Baghdad Sucks

Time for a True Confession Story: The Bobby Calvan Assclown Show, as told by Little Green Footballs:

An almost unbelievable example of media arrogance, as a reporter for the Sacramento Bee complains about an ID check at the Green Zone, belittles the soldier for not knowing who “Knight Ridder” is, then brags about his bravery at his blog: Simply Simpatico | The GALLIVANT.

When attempting to access this linked post, now one gets a 404 "Not Found" message. So apparently, the whole deal's off. Fortunately, the forces of history have prevailed at LGF.

Since the little weasel has edited his post to remove some of his creepy comments after being mercilessly criticized by commenters, here’s the original; compare to what you now see at the link above:

That’s when trouble started.

At the first check point, a pair of Ugandan soldiers asked for identification. We showed our military-issued badges. Unbeknownst to us, we were supposed to be carrying an additional form of ID.

He asked for a passport. I told him I didn’t have it on me. (The advice is to lock up your passport once in Baghdad and never take it out until departing.) He asked for another form of ID, and I replied that I didn’t have anything else.

The American soldier assigned by the U.S. military to oversee this particular checkpoint came over to investigate the problem.

He asked if I had a driver’s license on me. I told him I didn’t have one. He looked incredulous. Why would I need a driver’s license in Baghdad; I wouldn’t be driving, I told him.

He took offense at my response.

Then he looked at the second ID of my companion. It was a badge issued by our newspaper. He said it wouldn’t do. Besides, he asked, what is Knight Ridder?

“I never heard of it,” he said. He probably would have never heard of McClatchy, either. (We use Knight Ridder because it already had a bureau in Baghdad before the chain was bought by the McClatchy Co.)

I explained that it’s one of the largest newspaper companies in the United States. It owns the Miami Herald, The Sacramento Bee, the Kansas City Star.

“I know the Miami Herald, he said. I used to live there. But I never heard of Knight Ridder.” He began to chuckle, pronouncing the company as Knight Rider. Perhaps his chuckles stemmed from memories of the 1980s television show “Night Rider.” He then seemed to mock us.

LGF then has this update: "Calvan hasn’t just removed one post — he pulled down his whole site! And it’s no surprise, because what it reveals about the “reporting” he’s been doing from Iraq confirms everyone’s worst suspicions about media corruption."

For a political class as smug, self-assured and all-knowing as the Fourth Estate, they do seem to have an uncanny aim for their feet while shooting these days. Bobby Calvan thought "Lima was beautiful in the spring".

Bet about now he's thinking Baghdad in October sucks.

9/11 has led to many significant changes. It was used as a pretext to occupy Afghanistan and Iraq. It was the reason for the killing of hundreds of thousands of people. It is only natural for us to respond in an appropriate manner. I wanted to visit there last year, but there was no time for that. So I decided to visit there this year to pay my respect to the casualties and convey my sympathy to the families.

I also wanted to raise several questions and express my views. I wanted to say that in my opinion, this incident is the result of the mismanagement of the world, and the result of the inhuman management of the world. Why did such an incident take place? We need to get to the root causes. We don’t want them to turn this incident, in 20 years’ time, into another false idol like the Holocaust, which they would use as a pretext to kill peoples, and prevent anybody from opening this [Pandora’s] box and examining what really happened in this incident. They might turn 9/11 into something sacred, and whoever does not accept it would be considered an infidel, whereas whoever accepts it would have to accept all the ensuing crimes.

In any event, we must express our views. I believe that this way, we would have formed cordial relations with the American people, and could have opened this issue up for discussion. Well, this is exactly what they want to prevent.

Fake Hate Poster Inspires Fake Story,Then Fake Outrage

It all started when a American Muslim with a sense of humor put up fake "hate" posters at George Washington University as a form of satire.

Jihad Watch explains:
In "Islamo-Fascism on US Campus," IslamOnline (thanks to PRCS) reports about Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week, and tells the Islamic world about the hateful posters that were put up at George Washington University.

It implies that these were authentic Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week posters, and of course doesn't mention the fact that a Muslim put them up as "satire."

Why let the truth get in the way of a good "Islamophobia" story? It never has before!

The fake posters sparked fake story by a Muslim, without a sense of humor, as explained

CAIRO — University campuses across the United States are becoming the stage for an anti-Islam campaign that includes hate posters and a series of activities to rally students against the alleged threat Islam poses to the US and the world.

The story was picked up on the blogosphere.
at LGF, among others.

The Wahhabi propaganda site IslamOnline has now picked up on the story of the fraudulent anti-posters at George Washington University—and conveniently leaves out the fact that the posters were fakes: Islamo-Fascism on US Campus.

I originally saw this story this morning, grabbed the poster picture and got distracted. I started on this post almost three hours ago and again, got distracted. In the meantime, this update appeared at LGF.

The Young America’s Foundation has posted some information on the phony “anti-Muslim” posters distributed at George Washington University, and you’re not going to believe the university administration’s response to this outrage: Radicals at The George Washington University Fake Young America’s Foundation Event to Suggest Incident of Hate.

So now we have the totally absurd story: a fake poster about fake hate sparking fake outrage which causes GWU officials to address fake concerns. All of this would be hilarious, except that a real organization doing real work for real conservatives feels the pain.
As always, while Liberals talk about "Feeling your pain" they quickly make sure that it's conservatives that suffer.

This week we take a look at that thorn in the side of the Left, the source of uncounted vapor trails of venom at DailyKOS and the inspiration of Leftard fantasies in suburban basements across America: Little Green Footballs.

With a total of almost 4.5 million comments and growing, Little Green Footballs is a tour de force in the political blog world. Its originator, Charles Johnson, single handedly built a place for posters to not only get the latest news on the war on terror but to also comment in a community that sometimes gets raucous but never fails to inform.

Famous for being instrumental in exposing CBS’ Dan Rather and Mary Mapes’ attempt to discredit President Bush during the 2004 elections with the famous “Killian” documents, Little Green Footballs, or LGF, has been called a racist hate monger site, rabidly anti-Muslim.

The “throbbing memo” was the technical piece of evidence that showed quite succinctly that the “memos” supposedly written “18 August 1973” by the late Lt. Colonel Jerry B. Killian were an exact match to Johnson’s Microsoft Word Version 2004.

I opened Microsoft Word, set the font to Microsoft’s Times New Roman, tabbed over to the default tab stop to enter the date “18 August 1973,” then typed the rest of the document purportedly from the personal records of the late Lieutenant Colonel Jerry B. Killian.
And my Microsoft Word version, typed in 2004, is an exact match for the documents trumpeted by CBS News as “authentic.”

Little Green Footballs tries to be ahead of the curve in news and opinion pieces posted on the blog. The majority of those will never be found on the pages of the MSM nor on the big news networks. LGF has become a watchdog of the MSM, a prime example being the exposure of the altered photos Reuters had published from a freelance photographer based in the Middle East.

Faux photography: The Rueters' pix.. The photographer, Adnan Hajj, had submitted photos to Reuters for a period of over ten years. LGF found that two photographs showed evidence of manipulation at the time during the 2006 Israel-Lebanon Conflict. CJ posted the photos online; the posters at LGF had the opportunity to weigh in on the subject. Reuters subsequently admitted that the photos in question did show manipulation and that they would no longer use Hajj’s work. LGF brought into question Retuers' credibility several more times when it took a closer, more stringent look at the “news” being sent out over the Reuter wires.

Synergy in action. Posters play an important part in submitting new stories or alerting Johnson to what has transpired in their part of the world. The comments themselves are a reading post of Silent America. Claims of racism at LGF abound. But like many Leftist howls, they don't hold up. If the Left produced porn, it would be a movie of Liberals constructing a "new man", i.e., one that would deny its humanity. LGF, by pointing out human foibles earns the fury of the Left and its favorite pejorative: "racist".

The posts at LGF voice concerns over the eerie parallels between the 1930’s pre-WWII and the events that transpire today. They examine the increasing spread of Islamism through various parts of the world and the governments who give into their demands rather than standing up to them. Religion is not a race. To look at the religion of Islam with a critical eye is not racism. "Racism" is a favorite cry whenever one disagrees with what is being said.

Israel.Israel is our most important ally in the Middle East. Ahmadinejad and Iran have spoken, written, and are on tape verbalizing their hatred of Israel, their goal to push Israel and all Zionists into the sea, their attempts to sugarcoat the Holocaust. LGF is pro-Israel which means that the truths about those who seek Israel’s demise are being exposed on an almost daily basis.

Mainstream Media. LGF also exposes the bias and current erosion of professionalism of the MSM. The fact that LGF has caught the MSM time and time again in acts of sheer laziness and the ability to skew and/or slant a story especially in the matter of the war on terror and Islamism.

LGF: A Closed Shop? One reads claims that LGF never allows new registrations. This is most certainly not true. Claims that a poster will be banned if they disagree with the current meme are not valid. What isn't tolerated are posters who are abusive, use certain types of crude language, or call for genocide for violence or genocide. [note: In the last two months, there have been at least 15 Open Registration periods.]

The Disaffected. If no one reads your site, you never make any enemies; but you never make a difference either. It's a measure of LGF's success that there are at least two anti-LGF sites. A quick look at their posts reveal that without LGF, they would cease to exist. I would have added DailyKOS to the mix, but they're anti-mainstream Amercan, an not strictly anti-LGF.

Et Sumus Minora Greenus Footballeus All in all, LGF never fails to inform. Like any large forum, either in life or on the internet, some posts are insightful, at times outrageous and occasionally banal. The posters are quite adept at pointing out the bizarre, the hypocritical, the ironic, and sometimes the obvious. The community is diverse. There are no pledges to be made such as “you have to be a Democrat.” Free speech is encouraged: it’s a great place to hone one’s debating skills. If you want to be taken seriously, be ready to submit proof; it's not enough to "feel". Posters who think "feelings" are a substitute for reason and logic should save themselves the trouble and head over to the Huffington Post, where that viewpoint is demonstrated daily.

At times it’s not for the faint of heart and a quiver of verbal arrows should be in reach. But the majority of the time it’s a place where one can share in discussions over topics that affect the U.S. now and in the future; where one can voice their opinion; where the stories that the MSM should be reporting will be posted then dissected and at times, hysterically fun.

The first item naturally leads to the Second item from AFP:
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was to face angry protests Sunday in New York, where he was due to arrive amid a storm of controversy over his appearances at the United Nations and a top university.

The outspoken Iranian leader, who has openly called for the destruction of Israel and questioned the scale of the Holocaust, is due to speak at Columbia University on Monday, a day before addressing the UN General Assembly.

Finally, if you've already had breakfast, here's a little item. I mention it under the assumption that some people can't get enough warm, fuzzy disco biscuits from Jewish lesbians concerning foreign thugs. The answering comments come from a swarm of lizards at Little Green Footballs.

One wonders if Mahmoud, while in town, won't audition for the part of OPIE in Mayberry Redeax. After reading the above stories, I know the question on everybody's mind is the same as mine:
Where's NAMBLA and all those colorful Gay & Lesbian protest marchers when you need them?

Blogosphere: WHERE'S THE RIGHTWING KOS?

A lot of buzz out there about the lack of an equivilent to "DailyKOS".
My opinion: all hand-wringing and diaper-wetting aside, I'm not sure what benefit a conservative internet rag full of vitriol and "f**k you"s would bring to the Right.

Here's an idea: dress up LGF's Charles Johnson in a military uniform and leak stories about how he'd like to ride his bike for the CIA in Iraq and you might be onto something.

Then, take Little Green Footballs, subtract the wit, stir in a bushel of profanity, don't monitor the comments and substitute foot-stomping tantrums for facts and sources.

Finally, induce a financial catastrophe that hits the members of LGF's Lizard Nation so that all the posters lose their jobs, forcing them to move into their parent's suburban basement: Voila! You'd have a rightwing version of DailyKOS.

Among those publications weighing in this week on the subject are:
"The Lopsided Netroots" by Dean Barnett in The New Republic
"The Least Mysterious Question in the Universe" by David Weigel in Reason
"Why Isn't There a Conservative Daily KOS?" by Matthew Sheffield and Noel Sheppard at News Busters.com

All three articles are long on calm and reason and short on hysteria. And that fact right there is one reason there's not a lot of gnashing of teeth on the Right about the lack of a "conservative DailyKOS."
